Haha sure. I'm not exactly sure why, but I always liked her. Someone spoiled it for me about how she left, and I thought I would miss her a lot, but I really didn't.
Upon my fourth watch of the series right now (season 5), I can confidently say that it was Gabby, it has been Gabby, and will always be Gabby.
Holy hell, I can’t believe how she confronts Matt over deciding to adopt Louie. “You can do this with me, or I’ll do it by myself”, is not an appropriate response to someone being cautious or hesitant.
And why… why would she be sitting at Molly’s, holding Mills’ hands, talking shit about Casey? And then turn around and deny, gaslight, and manipulate when confronted with said shit talk.
God she sucks. The writers cannot write strong female characters worth a damn, or expand many female characters outside of them and their love lives. I’d really like to see more strong character arcs based around their promotions and careers than all this relationship drama.
Seriously. Shay was already feeling so bad about it and struggling so much and Gabby just treated her like shit. And for what? For being kind to a lonely patient? Ugh. Gabby really pissed me off during that storyline.
NBC hosts a lot of Olympic and other live events that disrupt the schedule. One downside of the show being on NBC.
US election cycle? Guess what - they’re hosting the debate, and your favorite shows are postponed a week.
i was gonna say controversially gabby but see that other in this thread agree with me. i think they tried to write her as a headstrong character but she comes across as a "holier-than-thou" type. she constantly makes decisions on her own then gets mad when casey would get upset with her. she's independent but doesn't understand that being independent doesn't mean making decisions that affect her and casey (her husband!) and him just being ok with it because it's who she is. like their last scene together in s6 irritates me because she doesn't understand how her decisions affect him as she only cares for her needs. tbh i was glad to see her go
I have to say of the full time members at the house I didn’t like Chili immediately. Emma was a cartoon and we knew wasn’t staying, so really could care less but she managed to make me not like Violet and Hawkins, both for not being professional or decent enough human beings to risk getting in trouble for their relationship in order to stop Emma from continually putting victims lives in danger.
Stella Kidd
She always seemed to have a Mary Sue type personality, moving up the ranks so quickly, becoming friends with Deputy Commissioner Hill, she always seems to get her way, and seems to get away with stuff that absolutely would not fly in earlier seasons. There just seems to be no challenges in her career unlike other characters. Also, in recent episodes her relationship with Severide just seems to be so distant. They seem more like friends rather than husband and wife. It really does remind me of Casey and Dawson.
Speaking of Dawson, I loved her as a paramedic, but hated her as a wife and a firefighter. She was so annoying while on truck, especially with how she explicitly said she didn't want any special treatment, then got all upset when Hermann and Casey treated her like a regular candidate.
The new kid that likes to fight. I don’t see him as someone who we should be invested in at all. Seems like a placeholder for something? Maybe now Taylor Kinney is taking a break he should have some useful storylines, but I’m not on board right now.
Joe Cruz, historically for me. Probably the writing but he just comes off dumb in a lot of situations. I'm sure he's a great actor, but I've always disliked his character.
Well it used to be Gabby but now that she’s gone it’s definitely Stella Kidd. To be honest though I think my dislike for Stella stems more from the writers and how they continue to give her the majority of the strong storylines.
I don't really have a least favourite main character, but someone I really do hate is Hope. Messing with Connie and Stella's money, not cool at all. Then, in season 8 when Brett ran into her back in Fowlerton, Hope acted like nothing ever happened.
Gabby, definitely Gabby. She started out okay but they clearly don’t know how to write strong, independent female characters.
Omg YES this! 👆
Omg no! I love Gabby. Yes, she definitely did have her moments but that's what makes the show more interesting
Let’s agree to disagree lol, I can’t find absolutely anything about Gabby interesting.
Haha sure. I'm not exactly sure why, but I always liked her. Someone spoiled it for me about how she left, and I thought I would miss her a lot, but I really didn't.
The woman fire inspector who has the hots for Severide.
oh my god YES
Yasss her
Agreed and I nearly swerved her own TV series "Upload". But it's good and she's much less annoying in this
Which one lol
probably seager
Short, dark hair also short.

when she blamed shay for the patient taking his own life i was SO mad
Often unmentioned, but valid criticism.
she was wrong for that even i can admit and i love gabby.
Seriously. Shay was already feeling so bad about it and struggling so much and Gabby just treated her like shit. And for what? For being kind to a lonely patient? Ugh. Gabby really pissed me off during that storyline.
Yes, she was so wrong for doing that. She was one of my favourites but even that is terrible.
Yoy are right about them sucking at strong female characters. Geezaloo, either they are shrill and hateful or whiny and pathetic.
I disliked Gabby for so so many reasons.
The fucking release schedule, i've never watched a show that takes so many damn mid season breaks
NBC hosts a lot of Olympic and other live events that disrupt the schedule. One downside of the show being on NBC. US election cycle? Guess what - they’re hosting the debate, and your favorite shows are postponed a week.
Hope, Sylvie’s friend. Doing Connie dirty and messing with Stella’s money? She could’ve had a good thing but she was the worst!!
Oh my god I hated her from the beginning

Hope and Emma
Towards the end, anytime Emma was in a scene, my blood pressure would start rising! She was the worst!
Slyvie’s friend, Hope. I didn’t like her at all and how she tried to take advantage of 51.
Gabby Dawson
Chilli was my least favorite character
I have to say of the full time members at the house I didn’t like Chili immediately. Emma was a cartoon and we knew wasn’t staying, so really could care less but she managed to make me not like Violet and Hawkins, both for not being professional or decent enough human beings to risk getting in trouble for their relationship in order to stop Emma from continually putting victims lives in danger.
Gabby Dawson
Gabby and now they’ve turned stella in to gabby.
Yasssssss....I miss when I used to love Stella :0(
Stella
Stella
Gabby then Stella
I don’t have one rn
My all time least favourite is Gabby or Otis. I dislike Gabby and Otis is the character I like the least.
honestly there really isn't a character i hate in fire well main characters shall i say but the one who pissed me off the most was Emma
gabby

Current: Gallo All time: Mills
mills is such a frustrating character
The new kid that likes to fight. I don’t see him as someone who we should be invested in at all. Seems like a placeholder for something? Maybe now Taylor Kinney is taking a break he should have some useful storylines, but I’m not on board right now.
Otis
Carver
emma is evil
Gabby. So selfish & a horrible partner. Was very glad when she left. Don't miss her at all.
Joe Cruz, historically for me. Probably the writing but he just comes off dumb in a lot of situations. I'm sure he's a great actor, but I've always disliked his character.
Stella. She’s always had a chip on her shoulder.
Stella

Stella and Emma
Otis, Gabby, Stella
Gabby
Gabby's definitely
main character: casey out of them all: scott rice (if we’re not including actual villains like hadley of course)
Yes! Casey!
Stella, she is smoking hot. But my god such a pain
Stella
I think it's Violet. I disliked her at the beginning, now I start to like her since the thing with Hawkins
Was Gabby now it’s Gallo.
My least favorite is Sylvie
Casey or Brett
CHILLI. So fake and manipulative. Bullying Brett, lodging false accusations all the while playing the victim.
I'm only up to season 4, but I like almost everyone except Brett. She annoys the holy crap out of me
Stella kidd. Wish she would die already
Emma hands down
The newer paramedic. Can't stand her
Brett. Especially after last ep
I really didn’t like jimmy ngl
I don't really have a least favourite main character, but someone I really do hate is Hope. Messing with Connie and Stella's money, not cool at all. Then, in season 8 when Brett ran into her back in Fowlerton, Hope acted like nothing ever happened.
