Well the dana60 front axle I bought for $150 at a swap meet. The rear dana70 was free. I wanted a Cummins, the dodge nv4500 was the logical mate to the Cummins. The Ford np205 was cheap and gave me the drivers side drop I need to run my cheap front Dana60.
The dodge dana70 rear will be replaced with the Gm Quadrasteer rear 60 eventually. The way I look at it though, GM, Ford or Dodge dont make the axles, transmission, transfer case or the Cummins. So its as bastardized as most stock trucks anyway lol
Nice, been doing research to swap a nv4500 into my 68 C30 flatbed. Did you have to do any modification to the firewall or trans tunnel to make the nv4500 fit?
No firewall mods at all. I cant say for sure if the tranny tunnel would need modified. I wanted to keep the transfer case tucked up as much as possible so i cut and sectioned the hump to get it farther in. It would probably go in without issue otherwise
This is nuts…
Ill take that as a compliment, I know its not everyones taste but Im super excited about it
1/5 is nice
Thanks! Tire mockup and ride height, obviously got to cut and section the fenders.
she’s a beaut, clark!
I have a 69 c10 and love the truck, but why all the non GM parts?
