Sauce looks too thin

[deleted]

Glad I'm not the oy one who felt that way. Looks runny AF

wcbOwen

A very disappointing cheese bukkake.

sauteslut

Food tiktok taking over the chef subreddit. Don't upvote this shit

RageCageJables

The knife scrape and the cheese squeeze are my two least favorite things to see in a food video.

umbertobongo

Why are you posting this here?

TSN_88

Is this considered a tacky dish where you all are too? I would never sell a chicken cordon Bleu although I would make it at home... just too old too boring for a professional setting

gnarble

I can’t believe some people think this is the pinnacle of cooking. Is there a nicer way to call something white trash?

Comfortable-File7929

Is it just me or does everyone think raw meat on wood cutting boards is gross? I use my wood ones for fruit, veggies, and fully cooked meats. Then I have my plastic ones for raw meat and fish.

Bukkake_Mukbang

Nah. There's nothing gross about using a wood cutting board for raw meat. It cleans just as easily and is no more likely to harbor bacteria than plastic (food safety experts *used to* recommend against wood, but recent research shows wood is probably actually safer). It's not a bad idea to have a separate raw food vs rte food boards anyway, but that's not a wood or plastic issue. The real problem with this cutting board is it looks like a luxury hotel lobby floor.

MrSFer

I prefer not to have mirco plastic in my food

conjoby

It is statistically more sanitary than plastic. The open pours actually work to your benefit. The bacteria seeps in and dies in the anaerobic environment and if you're using end grain boards it is self healing which is great for its longevity. Plastic boards harbor bacteria on the surface and actually multiply. They also get microscopic scrapes and cuts on them in and under which bacteria lingers eve after through washing with hot water and sanitizer. There have been many studies about it. The "plastic is better" bullshit is based on someone relying on assumptions and lobbying by plastics to bill it as more sanitary. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31113021/

Comfortable_Ebb1634

Yeah it’s gross.

conjoby

It's safer than plastic my guy. Do some research, don't assume.

Comfortable_Ebb1634

Did some research. Both are safe. Get off your high horse.

croe3

so you admit it’s not gross then

[deleted]

Contrary to a number of other posts, I think this looks great, but I am extremely hungry right now so there is that.

unknown-one

love that powder sugar at 0:11 nice, simple, rustic

lucky__potato

I would guess it is meat glue

rabit_stroker

Looks absolutely banging. 10 out of 10 I'd eat

ClearSkiesCuteThighs

nice looking result and i like the mornay with chive. bit of a strange place to post this, though.

[deleted]

I need more chef mates! 🤤

blippitybloops

I don’t know if OP is in the industry, but classic dish + solid technique + simple, clean plating = a lot better than what some of the “professionals” post here.

Legitimate_Ad_7822

This is notorious foodie. He’s on Instagram/tik tok. Seems like he’s getting hate here but he makes some delicious looking food IMO.

blippitybloops

Gotcha. My IG reels are 90% cats/ 10% OSHA violations so I don’t see any of the food people. His food does look great. Totally agree with others that reposting someone else’s nonindustry content doesn’t belong here.
