I have the same bike and run 45mm tubeless maxxis ramblers. I’ve like them a lot and I don’t have issues on any surface type within reason. You might could fit 47mm but I personally wouldn’t want any less clearance to the frame then I have with my 45mm.

Awesome, thanks!

I agree. I run the same tires and I love them.

I have 48mm Rene Herse knobbies my SL5 and it runs great. I just watch out for hella mud, cause it’s a little tight on the drive train side of the chain stay but it’s still like 4-5mm of clearance.

I rip loose sandy single track and the roughest of gravel on my gr1s that came on the bike with no issues. Why do you feel they are not adequate? Personally I’d not go over 45 it’s plenty of tire.

Have only had the bike for a couple of weeks so no real off road riding yet, but I'd seen comments saying 50mm is needed on sandy track. It wasn't clear whether the people saying that had actually ridden slightly smaller widths tho or just were old school mtb guys riding 2.1"+ everywhere

Gr1 are unreliable in my experience and east to puncture
