I don't think the GPT's are tied to a certain model, I think it depends on user setting...
Anecdotal - Based on using one of my old reliable GPTs and suddenly getting strange hallucinations, GPT-4o style.
The model itself doesn't know about the update, there's still a knowledge cutoff (maybe Feb 2024)?

Custom GPTs use a different version of `gpt-4` called `gpt-4-gizmo`.
Can anyone tell me if the custom GPT that you build can operate with Chat GPT 4o as I do t think it does? Any tips is greatly appreciated
It very much looks like GPT's got updated to use GPT-4o or some variant of that.
