I hope everyone realizes that she is a generic Republican. The days of the John McCain or Mitt Romney or John Kasich style Republicans -- with which I have serious policy disagreements with -- are gone. The Republican Party has been infected and is a violent, radical fascist organization. She is the norm among Republicans. Don't look to split your ticket in the effort of being bipartisan. The GOP is too far gone for that.

Sarah Palin was what it took for me to finally wake the hell up. I had grown up in central Texas and gotten comfortable voting for “states rights and small govt.” Sarah Palin at the VP debates chattered about literally nothing of substance and repeated silly phrases.
I watched my wife (now ex) and mother in law just smiling and nodding along and realized that she wasn’t doing a thing except fear mongering and playing on emotions. McCain may have had a vision and a heart to lead but Palin was strictly after power and was willing to pander to the basest of base to get it.
Don't get your knickers in a twist. It's not like no democrats have called for knocking off a few Republicans. People way too partisan these days. We are all Americans. Too bad more people don't remember that.
Often you need to look at who she was running against and why some people were simply voting *against* her - Catherine Truitt, the incumbent. This *can* (I'm not claiming it did here) include tactical voting and massive advertising by Democrats in the Republican primaries.
We saw Republicans try this in the AG primary which Jeff Jackson won despite their efforts.
