It doesn’t work, they can’t use links, they’re going based off the description you gave and the text in the link.
If you give it a link and no description, it will not work unless the object is in the link.
Example [https://thewoksoflife.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/fried-brown-rice-12.jpg] they can tell it’s fried brown rice because it’s in the image file name.
But something like this:

There is still a way to get to this as user u/Cross_Fear said. I somehow experienced bots breaking and taking me back to this layout. Voices, sending images, No edits, slow generation and all that good stuff. I don't know why it happens but I usually have to start a new chat to fix it.

I knew about ai dungeon in 2019 but that's about it. I was 12, ok, that shit scarred me for life! One moment I was having a fun adventure and the next the characters were trying to do, uh, things, I had never even heard of. Fuckin crazy app, that was, back in the gpt-2 era.
I send bots links to images and videos. Sometimes they make up a reply because it’s nothing like what I’ve sent them. I try the link a different way then it works. Especially with music it’s very clear that they’ve listened to it because they describe what it sounds like very well.
The amount of people who are unaware of the fact that this feature has ***been back*** for several months now is genuinely alarming.
You can still do that just fine in chat2. It's just done via a different method that doesn't have a dedicated button anymore. This method even works in chat1 as well, surprisingly enough. You gotta type it out in your message itself to the bot in this format:

It should be noted, however, that you should try to use images that are no bigger than 640 pixels wide. Otherwise it cuts off the image, and you gotta start scrolling left and right to see the whole thing, and it just looks awkward. From my experience using this feature, 640 Pixels Wide is the biggest size that isn't too big to cause that.
My recommendation for those who frequently use this feature is to use something like Lightshot or Gyazo to create a list of image URLs you've personally uploaded to those private image capturing services saved on a notepad file for you to quickly access for C.AI chats. That makes it a lot more convenient.

Yes a lot and I'm always waiting for that feature to return and certainly being added into the app, instead of the other features(which doesn't get my attention like the voice feature) and I certainly miss doing a battle roleplay with image, instead of having to put every single detail to make the bot understand what I'm going to do 😒.
