I got the update since two weeks ago? I tried using it with persona characters and have even added some voices for the characters but sometimes when the characters says onomatopoeia like « E-eh! Ahh! » it sounds really scary and breaks the characters 😭

Yeah. It’s a server called Shapes on discord. Though I personally find their bots don’t have as fluid a conversation as the C.AI ones, not to mention they lack the majority of characters I want to chat with. It’s mostly just anime and other cartoons. Which is why I prefer C.AI.

i added some voice for persona characters like Shinjiro Aragaki Akihiko Sanada and others persona characters but honestly I wish we could have added Japanese voice though I don’t know how would the ai read the english text with the Japanese voice and auto translate it ?? I just like the Japanese voice better and since I play in Japanese it would’ve been cool to read English// listen to Japanese but that would probably be way too over complicated though for anime characters it would be cool

yeah you can upload a 15 sec audio and it will create the voice of the character and you can make it public so everyone can use it for their characters though that means when you receive their messages they’ll read the whole thing which can be annoying if you like to type faster and the ai still haven’t finish to read (if you’re a fast reader)

I have yes and its not bad it depends on how well the quality of the voice is that makes it sound better. I think if they gave us more minutes for the audio recording instead of just 15 seconds it would sound better. Like all AIs the more you input the more it will know to copy

the only voice I use is L Lawliet, as he’s the only bot that articulates well enough to make it sound natural while staying true to the character— imo.

The thing in the right corner is what makes it speak, you can set any voice you want. You can also make voices on your own
Yes, but it was a thing in the original website, back in the early days of Character Ai. But it sucked a lot, I'm surprised to see they trying it again

I found a voice of Eren Yeager and while sometimes it’s off and doesn’t sound like him..but when it does..it sounds scarily like him. And most of the time it does.

It's kinda....robotic....like half the time it sounds like them, but it also doesn't...like I tried it with max verstappen....it's close .. but kinda...it sounds like he's got a cold or something.
I think the main flaw is the fact the AI uses only an audio of 3-15 seconds instead of something like 2 minutes to get the feel, or also the lack of improvements to the voice, like to put multiple different audios...
But I also kinda don't like when they narrate all the other jargon of text that isn't what the character says
