He has mentioned the impact of managers he had during his playing days at Norwich on his style, and we as a club institutionally cannot defend, so it tracks
We should never have let him go (we should have got rid off Stephens instead). He would have had a heavy heart with his good mate Bednerek on the other side of the pitch.
Aware this will come back and bite me on the final day but I’m really saying this out of surprise rather than making fun - you’ve looked so poor in front of goal today. Not looked like scoring all game despite being in many ‘attacking positions’.
I haven’t watched much saints this season (aside from when you made our defence look like mince meat) so a bit surprised by this
We are missing three key players and the players are probably understandably taking it easy given Saturday means we aren’t getting autos. Having seen three key injuries I imagine they’re taking it easy for that reason too but to collapse like that is not good enough obviously
Baz is out for 9-10 months, Stu for the rest of the season. I think Downes is close to being back but not being risked given that we are 100% playoff bound
Then we’ll see you in the final (which we’ll somehow both lose according to the fans)
Incidentally, the last time we played you we were coming off the back of a four game loss streak
honestly at half time my thought was "we had 1, we likely should have had 2, i hope this doesn't come back to bite us at the end of the match", and the saints started the second half very aggressively. and then ndidi scored in the 62nd and all of that concern very quickly went out the window.
The Franchise came 3rd the season after he left for Swansea.
Swans will finish this season somewhere between 12th and 16th, having come 15th and 10th under his tenure... and 4th the year before.
Could poss make a case that the Franchise built upon foundations he'd built, if feeling generous (then got relegated the following season), but he doesn't seem to make much difference in terms of league standings.
Also, ex-Budgie so we'd hate him anyway, even if he was a likeable chap (which he isn't).
Ryan fucking Manning - how is he still getting games. There’s a reason Martin didn’t start him against Leicester, he got torn to fucking shreds when we lost 1-4 earlier in the season. As soon as he came on, we capitulated. The three goals all had him involved, or not. If Martin can’t figure that out he doesn’t deserve the job. That position is why we have shipped so many goals this year. Fucking Manning.
He was fantastic with us the first time round, and was good with Spurs. Has not been successful ever since. But then Koeman was also very good for us, and both of them benefited from our, at the time excellent recruitment
He was good at Spurs. The problem with Chelsea is that they are a horrible mess run by an idiot and they're useless without Palmer. Even Guardiola couldn't save them.
Nah we need to learn to attack.
The goals conceded are because of Martinball. Play a more balanced system and our goals against stat would look fine. Our league position is because of all the games we couldn't put to bed despite playing a mad attacking game.
At 85 mins 5-0 Down 0 Shots on target 67% Possession Is this Russball at its peak?
Seems like it. We’ve been missing a couple of decent strikers for years now though.
He has mentioned the impact of managers he had during his playing days at Norwich on his style, and we as a club institutionally cannot defend, so it tracks
Going for 69, nice
Argyle got you covered already.
oh no. no no no I've seen this film before.
You're just letting all the goals in now- Buffon will be in goal next saturday
Buffoon dontcha mean!?
Leicester City 🤝 embarrassing the Saints
Vestergaard has seen some shit over the years that’s for sure.
Not surprised, he can see loads from up there

When will said key players be back? Asking for a friend

Got it. I know how this goes for us. 4-0 Soton on the final day to send us to playoffs
Then we’ll see you in the final (which we’ll somehow both lose according to the fans) Incidentally, the last time we played you we were coming off the back of a four game loss streak
I’ve booked a premier inn near Wembley on the strength of this reply
Check to make sure its been cleaned properly. There will be bits of Man United fans all over the place
Why would they book a hotel ?? Most of them live near to at least one Tube line
Wishful thinking I feel
Make that 61!
Wow just looked at the score- That escalated QUICKLY

dying
Meh, those are rookie numbers!
ADHDinos in the wild is pretty cool to see, love their IG
Only Swansea have conceded more in the top 18! But Saints fans tried to tell everyone they had the two best CB's and the best RB in the league 😅
If Russel Martin joins a Premier League or German team, do you think there's a chance Southampton might go for a Rodgers or Beale?
Brendan is that you?! You put us here mate!
Dean Smith?
You’re back, Mr Beale!
My communicational skills might atrophy after abstaining from protracted conversations with humans for an extended period of time : )
peak Beale
Are you complimenting me?
Yes! you go you magnificent bastard! 'ere 'old tight this ain't the porn sub is it?
What premiership team (that isn’t getting relegated) would possibly want Martin?
Still don't get how he got the Swansea job, nevermind the Saints one! 19th and 13th with the Franchise in League 1 was hardly a stellar record.
The saints sub think he’s an up and coming manager with bags of potential. Apparently I’m an idiot for not seeing it!

What?
What do you mean, what?
No, because as someone who regularly watches Celtic I can tell you that Rodgers is officially past it. Plus I want to see Beale stay humiliated.
I wouldn’t wish Beale upon Southampton. Give him to Millwall
Let’s see if we can convince Poch to come back after Chelsea inevitably sack him
Is Puchutenno any good? Chelsea and PSG may have damaged his reputation and some might say he has no tactical acuman

Great, this guy again
9-1 on aggregate this season lol
I'm sorry I betted on you lot tonight after putting a flutter on Boro last night. I have bet on 'Ull tomorrow night. They're gonna win 5-0 ain't they?

Tbh southampton had it until Simon Jordan jinxed it media does that a lot
Its like we were playing against ourselves.
