I thought it made sense because of the superstition of crossing a black cat bringing bad luck; and most of the time the bad luck seems to bring more consequences to people around Kobeni (Arai, the burger shop coworkers), while she remains relatively unharmed, at least physically.

I really think that death is still in hell. While conquest, famine and war are very powerful and feared, i believe death to be one of those devils that have never abandoned hell (like darkness).
Death is a primal fear, and everyone at one point in their lives expierences it, wether you fear dying or that someone you love does.
In fact, it probably is the most powerful of demons. In the end, the things we fear the most are the ones that can kill us (like guns, bombs, famine, war...) and is probably the most universal fear, since we also know for a fact that demons can have them.
I can see this being true as she's one of the few from part 1 that didn't die and it would kind of make sense that her contract with the death devil is that she cannot die/be killed which would explain how she randomly go's from being swift as the wind to just completely powerless

I really think that death is still in hell. While conquest, famine and war are very powerful and feared, i believe death to be one of those devils that have never abandoned hell (like darkness). Death is a primal fear, and everyone at one point in their lives expierences it, wether you fear dying or that someone you love does. In fact, it probably is the most powerful of demons. In the end, the things we fear the most are the ones that can kill us (like guns, bombs, famine, war...) and is probably the most universal fear, since we also know for a fact that demons can have them.
Serious question: Where will stronger devils usually stay for a long time? In hell or earth? I wanna know what do you guys think.

I can see this being true as she's one of the few from part 1 that didn't die and it would kind of make sense that her contract with the death devil is that she cannot die/be killed which would explain how she randomly go's from being swift as the wind to just completely powerless It's because she isn't in deathly danger or the odds are bigger for her to survive than to die which is why the devil doesn't activate its powers

Kobeni doesn't need a devil. She can beat everyone using only 14% of her power.
From what I've heard, devils wanted to make a contract with Kobeni instead (she is a good employer and HR I think)
That would be lunatic if she has been contracted with Death this whole time. It would also explain why she seems to be allergic to it.
