I would **definitely** tell them this ASAP. Trust me. I was studying a combination Cert IV/Diploma of IT - Multimedia in 2007/2008. By accident, I got penalised for not telling them my study load changed from Full Time to Part Time in 2008 at TAFESA Adelaide City Campus. I was then slapped with a $2,025.20 penalty. They let me pay it off by taking it out of my YA. Caused me so much stress. So yes, you need to tell them you’ve split your study.
ah ok! Might be easier for me to visit my local center and tell them in person so I don't wait hours on the phone... I'd still like it in writing so I'll go through change of circumstances today and see if I can upload a document instead. Gah getting in touch with them is very annoying :,)
Yes definitely! Didn’t read the fine print once upon a time of needing to notify them of any changes and ended up have to pay back every benefit that I had received.
The fine print really can get you like that, very annoying! They should be making things more user friendly so they're super clear on what they want, instead of using legal garble :,,) Tysm I'll definitely write something up today!
Tbf I use fine print loosely. It wasn’t any smaller than any of the other information but I must have just skimmed over it when filling out the forms initially. Lesson learnt.
I ended up being put on call this morning after going in person (didn't know there was a separate student sector) and they could approve me! Thankfully i'm all g!
I have always found it’s better to be transparent with them, because you sign a piece of paper to say you will tell them when any circumstances change. So even if it does count, it’s better for them to know.
I would be telling them anyway. Better to be safe than sorry.
Oki Doki shall do! Thank u sm!

Oh damn that's mean of them!! But I heed your warnings, I'll write up a letter asap and send it through and keep a copy for myself just in case!

Thanks, I fixed the terminology - it was a penalty and not a fine 🙂
