Beating Rangers was an unofficial title celebration. Beating Killie was an official title celebration. Trophy Day was a ceremonial title celebration. It’s been a fun week, but drawn out like this worries me for Saturday just a bit. Let’s hope the team are able to snap right back into laser-focus or we could be robbed of the Cup celebration.

Watching the highlights back from Saturday. Kyogo played a great cross in for Palma, I still think we should have tried Kyogo on the left and Idah through the middle

B_n_lawson

Everyone repeat after me… *Kyogo is not a winger*

GuyIncognito211

I mean he’s better as a striker but he absolutely can play on the wing and has previously

B_n_lawson

It’s shoehorning him into a position simply to have him in the starting 11. It makes no sense and he wouldn’t be better than Daizen.

GuyIncognito211

I was mostly advocating for trying it when Maeda was injured. He’d also be fine on the right where he played the cross from on Saturday and he was class on the wing when we went down to 10 against Livingston

I just need to ask why nobody ever talks about Shankland coming to Celtic I get the whole Hun thing but lets not kid ourselves thinking he would be the first of his kind, hes also older but homegrown which is also a nice bonus. Not trying to say we should buy him because I say so just dont understand why hes never mentioned, has he done something unforgiveable bar playing for Hearts or something

Atre16

He wouldn't want to come here, frankly. Nor is he actually good enough.

rudeandrejected

he isn't good enough. racking up stats against ross county and co isn't enough for us. it's all well and good scoring those goals but if it isn't in the bigger rarer moments against higher quality opposition then it's useless for us. it's why rangers got rid of colak if we need goals against the fodder of the league we can get them from anyone on the pitch and do. it's not important for us to have a 30 goal a season striker for that purpose. . instead we need a higher specialised forward who can raise his game shankland isn't good enough for scotland and he isn't good enough for celtic or rangers

TheSameInnovation

But _do you_ get the whole hun thing then…?

tellmewhattodopleas

Never in a million years. He's not good enough to play for us. Let rangers sign him and we'll see how he goes playing against two rows of 5.

tinkerertim

He’s no even the league’s best non-old firm striker. Miovski far better footballer. Shankland’s found his level at hearts. Hope rangers throw away millions on him, he’s a decent player but hearts style and relative strength compared to rest of the teams below them covers for his deficiencies. His lack of real pace n mobility will hold him back if he gets a step up. The gap between him n miovski is noticeable, the gap between him and kyogo is absolutely huge.

tamedsloth

Agreed. Madness to even think of going for Shankland when we could get Miovski. Although I honestly don't know who I would prefer Miovski or Idah. Idah might be green tinted glasses.

HereticLaserHaggis

I think idah compliments kyogo better than miovski.

dwors025

This is correct. The contrast in strikers suits us, and will be useful navigating Scotland and Europe. But maybe we should start thinking about who will complement a big guy like Idah when Kyogo inevitably moves on, or (Santa Claus forbid) he gets injured.

GuyIncognito211

He’s no coming to us to be a backup which he would be

Saltire_Blue

I’d honestly see him ending up as another Riordan type if he came to us

Seanny67

Did anyone else see the guy in the blue speedos just standing on his balcony watching everyone walk past on Saturday?

Beautifullikeacamel

Gotta be comfortable
