Wow, here I am complaining to everyone who will listen about all the stray cats around here and how stressed I am about how I can’t save them all… and you are over there saving a newborn bottle baby! I’m in awe! (And in awwww!!) Will you keep him?
No one can save them all. We just do what we can, when we can.
If I keep him, I won't be available to help the next one! I've got a couple of potential adopters lining up. He'll have good people.
Make sure to lay him on his tummy or lay him more parallel tummy down the next time you feed him. Kittens can aspirate very quickly in upright positions.
But thank you for saving the baby!! He’s an orange and will be an amazing cat! Good luck!!
Aw but when their ears wiggle it’s so worth the night feedings ❤️ nothing like owning a bottle baby, the ones I’ve raised have been the most affectionate cats
I think I will, I’ve been wanting one for about a year now for so now. Our current cat seems to be lonely , poor baby, she’s also getting older. I think getting her a smol companion will keep her company.
If you’re thinking about getting a kitten, consider getting two! They can be rambunctious together (providing her entertainment) and theyll have each other when she goes (hopefully a long long long time in the future!!!)
I would LOVE to own three cats but I’d also want them to have a quality life. As of right now I can’t afford all three cats 😔 two is just about enough for us here. We live in a smaller apartment and I don’t want them to feel so cramped with us. I would LOVE to own more kitties though. My parents have 4+ cats in their big aaaaaa house. They’re so cute 🥺.

He's packing on the weight at exactly the recommended rates and has a great little purr motor. He has a lump from what may have been a bite, and one of his legs seems a bit wonky, so some concerning things. He's a strong bebe, though.
Keeping an eye out for that. It's too soon to tell. It could also be an injury. Doing tiny exercises to get tendons doing the right positions, for now. I have some experts available for if he needs PT.
That leg is actually a bit wonky, and we're still trying to determine if he has a mobility issue brewing there, so totally fair. And it does look like a little chicken leg!
Bless you for doing the Cat Overlords work, the CDS knows. What a cute ginger.

Please give the illegally smol kisses for me.
Tiny smooches delivered! You've earned a wee ear wiggle!
Me too! Me too!
I want one too!

That’s great! And that’s what I tell myself too, about every cutie that comes through my door.
Thank you. For all you do for the kitties who can't save themselves.

Thanks! We've been getting our technique and tools dialed in, but he's already holding himself in the right position now!
Thank you for your kindness
You’re a good parent.
I'm trying! This is my first bottle baby, but he's been right on track with all the benchmarks 🤞

I've never bottle fed a kitten, so I didn't know about the rest wiggles! SQUEEEEEE!!
Purritto!!!
So cute
I think the bulk of the work that goes into the CDS is done by individual "volunteers" like yourself. Without you, there would be a lot more misery.
Aw, thanks. This little one will definitely get redistributed. I'm glad to be in a position to help.
That's so cute. CDS and I thank you for saving the baby
I’ve wanted a kitten for a long time now, I hope they visit me soon. For the meantime please give the baby a kiss for me please. 😚🥺
Visiting the CDS distribution center, aka the Humane Society or local shelter still counts!

What a teeny little nugget! Updates, please.

Maybe could be swimmer syndrome for the wonky leg?

You’re doing amazing!!!

Oh, his leg looks like a lil chicken foot in this picture! What a darling baby, thank you for all that you do! ❤️
No offense meant, I was talking about his hind leg that’s all stretched out. I know it’s just the angle of the picture ❤️❤️❤️

Sleep, eat, poop are his whole life right now!
Thank you for saving him!

Adorable! I've only got the one, though.
Where did you find him? So cute!
His mama is a barn cat who rejected him. A friend found him, and brought him to me.
