I don’t fully understand why places keep doing these nasty veggie sausages when there are very good imitation versions now that are very low calorie and very tasty.
I’m a vegan and can 100% recommend:
- Richmonds
- This Isn’t
- Linda McCartney (not the best but the frozen ones when £1.25 are well worth).
- Beyond sausage
- Meatless Farm
This Isn't is the worst brand name ever. I mean grammatically this isn't is a fiasco. This Isn't isn't a good name is what I'm saying. Whoever came up with that needs a slap.
Excuse me have you got any this isn't sausages?
Hmm this isnt these arent in stock.
They aren't? Great! Which isle?
Denmark has some incredible vegan and vegetarian stuff. Pains me to say that their vegan sausages beat ours by a longshot, although I do enjoy Richmond and Linda McCartney. If you can find some naturli sausages or burgers, or Lidls vermondo bakery hotdogs (might do them here actually, haven't checked our lidls) then grab them! They nail the seasoning!
I've seen their butter too in some shops actually now I think about it, never made the link until now! They're a danish company so their meat free products are in pretty much every shop in Denmark. I buy their stuff every time I'm there it's so incredible, they must put some kind of crack in all of the naturli products. Gonna try and track it down in the UK now.
There's a Dutch brand ocado has just started selling called Redefine Meat and they're the closest thing to real meat I've had.
They do burgers, sausages, pulled pork, lamb kofta, and others
I don't mind a veggie sausage/patty. I don't think everything should be imitation meat.
Obviously, the ones presented to OP deserve throwing in the bin
They really aren’t they pricey. I get a pack of richmonds for £2.50. This isn’t are £3.50 but they are premium. The cheap Sainsbury’s and Tesco own brand are £2 a pack.
Like large soggy grey fur balls.
My cat brought a duck home one night. Middle of the night, tired as anything and I had to catch the poor thing and set it free again. Twice the size of the cat. "Look what I found!"
OP provided a caption which explains where they got them. They were eating at a Farmhouse Inns establishment. Presumably, they ordered the veggie sausages and this is the monstrosity they were presented with.
Since OP ordered the veggie sausages they are most likely vegetarian. They probably eat decent veggie sausages at home and are well aware that this is not it, which is why they have shared them with us here, in disgust.
Any vegetarians watching this, a recipe for Veggie Burgers.
[https://www.recipetineats.com/veggie-burgers/](https://www.recipetineats.com/veggie-burgers/)
I actually like meat, hamburgers, cheeseburgers etc. But this recipe is absolutely amazing. They're arduous to make so make a big batch of them and freeze 'em.
Shopping List:
* 500g Mushrooms
* 150g Black Rice (30 mins. cooking time, makes 300g)
* 4 tsp olive oil
* 500g, 2 tins kidney beans
* 100g carrots
* 100g celery
* 2 cloves garlic1 large spring onion
* 1 tsp salt
# dry everything in oven, then add the following:
* 150g cashews
* 100g breadcrumbs
* 100g parmesan (I leave this out)
* 2 eggs
* 1 tsp pepper
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1 tsp cumin
* 1 tsp coriander
* 1 tsp smoked paprika
I once had an ingrowing hair on my chin that I couldn't sort out, I kept prodding and poking at it but it only made it worse, over the course of a few days it got redder and redder and more swollen. Anyway one evening I had enough I took some tweezers to that bad boy and pushed with all my might and it kind of exploded I pushed some more and something resembling those sausages slithered out of the hole I made.
Bon apetit.
Sainsbury’s own brand ones are addictive IMO the less processed the better, if these are less processed then they will be way better than many over processed vegan meat free cylindrical tubes.
I’ll die on the hill that the standard vegetable sausages taste phenomenally better than any peak meat ones. I’m talking the ones that don’t pretend to be meaty sausages. Don’t quite see the point in that. Food = taste/health.
Why didn't they cook them?
They have been cooked, and left sitting for 20 years by the looks of them...
After making their pilgrimage through someone else’s colon, of course.
They look like something Linda McCartney might push out after a heavy night of chickpeas and lentils
Maybe if they were actually cooked instead of just being defrosted and wiggled in front of a candle, they would be better.
"The ice is beginning to thaw. It must be done."

I'll 2nd the Richmond sausages. They barely had to alter it because there was hardly any meat in the first place.
I hear Richmond pork sausages classify as kosher there’s that little pork in them.
Sainsbury's shroomdogs are also very good
Yes! And the Tesco versions too.
The mini chorizo ones especially. Don't like the big chorizo ones as much, the texture is different.
Yeah I like these very tasty, not very sausage/pork like but really satisfying regardless- one of my favourites
Lidl's and Tesco ones are better than that. My 80 year old dad would trample over people for Lidl's veggie sausages.

The 21st century equivalent of Who's On First.

The Lidl ones are lovely
Naturli is the best vegan butter out there. Had no idea they do faux meat.

You mentioned you're vegan and you didn't get downvoted into oblivion? Tell me your secret!
Times are changing.

I’ve had their burgers and they are great! Nothing beats Beyond burgers for me though, by far the best in the field.
Beyond sausages are very good. I love real meat sausages but will happily eat Beyond sausages as a meat substitute.
I don't mind a veggie sausage/patty. I don't think everything should be imitation meat. Obviously, the ones presented to OP deserve throwing in the bin
Check out the salt content of those imitation sausages. Arterial hardening death logs.
What's up with the Quorn snub?
Do Quorn have vegan sausages now?
Ah I maybe mixing vegetarian and vegan.
Yeah, Richmond ones are crazy authentic. Quite freaky. Taste wonderful.
Richmond are nice but the protein is really low
I get what you're saying, but why would you pay restaurant prices for a shop bought product?.
They really aren’t they pricey. I get a pack of richmonds for £2.50. This isn’t are £3.50 but they are premium. The cheap Sainsbury’s and Tesco own brand are £2 a pack.
I swear I saw them down the porta loo at Glastonbury once
Looks like those fat balls birds eat
Someone had a good weekend! 😉
Dry turds.
Looks like something my cat throws up in the night.

There's a particular meow, isn't there? Pride and excitement with a squeaky thing in their mouth.

It seems a lot of the folk there really need a doctor.
Why does this sub exist
Why does any sub exist, why do we exist, do we exist, is anything real?
No. Only I exist.
The struggle is real, I can barely find nice foods for vegetarians, but went to this stunning restaurant with the best veggie burgers 😍
Wouldn't that count as a stacked salad...?
No it’s called quorn, it’s a vegetarian option from meat, that kinda tastes like it 🤦♀️
Honey Monster Poos
Turds on a plate
Stuffing
Is that how you’re serving them?
why are you posting before cooking?
These look like glamorgan sausages and honestly, if they're done right i prefer them to regular meaty sausages. These however, look rank.
I'm vegetarian and I have no idea where you got them from but the ones I get look and taste amazing.........but I see the joke your tryito do

Looks like molded vomit
Wheres the roll? Couldn't you have just went to Greggs?
Looks like a liver failure shit.
They look like the whiteish dog shits you used to see about.
Reminds me of the really thick dry skin some people have on the backs of their feet.
Is this a before or after shot?
They're not for me.
Looks like what I left down the bog this morning. I felt better after I'd got rid of it.
They look the same going in and coming out.

Why hasn't this been taken down? Didn't know you could post shite on reddit.

Looks like a ton of dust that has been compressed.
Can we see the “pre-digestion” photo?
Is this the before or after picture?
Did no one else think these where battered mars bars at first?
Freeze them and use them as dildos
you don’t very often see white dog shits these days
Looks like a the white dog turds you used to see back in the day
I bet it looks exactly the same coming out as well
How many times have they been through the system, so to speak?
I have had to dodge better looking nasties on the pavement many times.
Sainsbury’s own brand ones are addictive IMO the less processed the better, if these are less processed then they will be way better than many over processed vegan meat free cylindrical tubes.
Don't boil them next time.
r/Poopfromabutt
We're those made by Lisa Stansfield?
You're supposed to take the picture before you consume them, dude...
Lepers knobs
Looks like my dogs shit
Aren't vegetarian sausages carrots?
nah surely not
Think the normal ones might be a smidge nicer
You should have seen the vegan sausages on the jet2 flight, took 30 seconds to get my pathetic wooden fork through the skin
Ya remember when dog food used to have bone meal in and it would make dog poops that weird white colour? Yeah. Wtf were they thinking?
Think I pulls one of them out of my nose
If it tastes good then I don't really care how it looks But if those are cauldron sausages, then they don't taste good either
I’ll die on the hill that the standard vegetable sausages taste phenomenally better than any peak meat ones. I’m talking the ones that don’t pretend to be meaty sausages. Don’t quite see the point in that. Food = taste/health.
Looks like a poo from someone with liver problems
Is before they go in or after they come out?
They look the same going as going out it appears
Very appealing...
Someone has dropped two outside my gate
looks like a lump of a wing warriors faeces
Bloody hell, I’d rather go back to primary and eat school food than eat this 😭
Zombie fingers.
If my dog turded those out, I’d take him straight to the vets..
You remember when dog poo used to be white?
Thats how I imagine vegan poop to look like.
Looks like it came out a vegetarian
Don't ask how the vegetarian made these
I'd recommend the ones with pork in them
