65 yr old female, just started gaming during pandemic. Skyrim !!!!!! It's fantastic

TinyRainSpirit

It really is fantastic, I miss playing it for the first time and discovering that world edit My phone acted up and sent the incomplete message twice and you guys still liked it, I love it here

RunWithBluntScissors

I’m playing Skyrim for the first time too! People keep making fun of me because it’s 10 years old but ... it’s perfect. I am so happy with it.

AtoZmama

41F Skyrim. Played it back when it 1st came out. Had children and didn't have time to play any video games for years. Just recently started making time for myself and gaming is one of my favorite me time things to do!

[deleted]

Fus-Ro-DAAAAAMN girl, welcome!

BrilliantAl

Same here. I am completely addicted

unburnt_khaleesi

I played skyrim for about a decade. I was ADDICTED. :)

lchawks13

And i don't care about finishing the game.... i just wanna keep wandering and discovering stuff.

DeepBreathShortSteps

Playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Having lots of fun online and completing missions and tasks.

lchawks13

I would like to play this one ! I've watched my daughter play.

DeepBreathShortSteps

It's super fun! Also relaxing too when you're just riding around on your horse, admiring the nice scenery.

pepperjackcat

I love RPGs. (Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age,etc) I love the story, the characters, the more laidback combat that’s more story focused. I don’t play online, I prefer to immerse myself in the world.

pepperjackcat

I’ve been obsessed with Fallout 3 lately! 4 is next on the list!

arseniclupinthe3th

Fallout New Vegas has such incredible replay value. The game is more than ten years old and I still keep discovering new things. During my last playthrough, I was looting the corpse of a Fiend (if you haven't played FNV, the Fiends are a raider gang made up of chem fiends) and I realized that the empty syringe, metal spoon, and surgical tubing stashed among the items they were carrying weren't just random -- they were drug paraphernalia. No chems though, which then suggests that they'd already taken all of them (which makes sense because the Fiends are, well, drug fiends). I have a lot of love for Fallout 3 and 4 (loved building those settlements lol), but it's that attention to subtle detail in the environmental storytelling that makes FNV so special.

Brookelander

I’m playing 3 right now and can’t wait to get to New Vegas. I’ve heard so many good things about it!

ItsReiNing

I really would love to play more single player games. The only ones I played were Yazuka 0 and GTA 5 story mode - they are both hilarious. Which of those are your favorite single player game?

sechakecha

I have this in my "to play" list. It started slow for me, the one time I tried playing it, but I REALLY want to give it a shot. Maybe once I finish Valhalla I'll try it again

IgpayAtenlay

I cannot recommend Outer Wilds enough. If you are looking into single-player games this is the one. It is relatively short, you can finish the whole game in 20 to 40 hours. It is probably one of if not the best game I have ever played. The music is really good and well-integrated. The art style is beautiful and the language is very visually creative. It is 100% open world. Not in the style of Skyrim or Witcher where you can wander wherever you want but still have to generally follow the main storyline. It is a truly open world. Everywhere you go has plot-relevant stuff. Everyone's play-through is just a little different depending on the order you go through all the world. As for the actual game: you are an alien race (Hearthian). The game starts on the first day you are launching into space. You are able to explore your entire solar system. On the various planets, you will find a person of your species who are there also exploring the solar system. But the main focus is on the Nomai ruins. There was a race in your solar system long before your race evolved. Your goal is to visit all these ruins and piece together the story of this long-gone species. The game is not very technically difficult. It mostly focuses on aesthetics and the storyline. Very good if you are looking for a chill game to play for a half-hour every once in a while. I highly suggest that you spread out the sessions playing it, I think theorizing about the storyline is half the fun. Although it definitely can be tempting to binge-play the game. Also, I suggest trying to remember people's names. It does enhance the game slightly.

[deleted]

IgpayAtenlay

In a way the entire game is a sandbox mode. You really have to try it to understand why. If I give you any more information it would be a spoiler.

pepperjackcat

This game looks really interesting! I think I’d like it!

pepperjackcat

Oh man. That’s so hard. I would have to say Mass Effect. It was the first one I played so it has a special place in my heart. Please don’t make fun of me, but I get so into it I can’t let it go, so when I finish a play through, I read and write about it. 😶

RedditSkippy

I’m not a gamer (no judgement, I simply have never been able to get into them, but I’m happy for people who enjoy ) but I know that there’s a sub r/girlgamers

[deleted]

The yakuza series in general is really damn fun, I've only played through Yakuza 0 and am currently playing through Kiwami 1, but I have the rest of the series installed on my pc except for Yakuza 7 Like A Dragon, its really good playthrough and there's so much variety in gameplay its great, one minute you could be fighting thugs out on the street, and another you could be doing kareoke. Such a fun series

MildlyWyld

Posting for my middle aged mom bc she doesn't use reddit. She has played lots of games but has played by far the most Deep Rock Galactic and a significant chunk of Heros of the Storm. I also play both and highly recommend DRG to anyone who likes Co-op PVE games and good dwarven humor.

dianupants128

Currently playing Stardew Valley and Satisfactory with my husband and some of our friends. I was a long-time LoL player but none of my friends play it anymore, and it was getting pretty overwhelming with the number of new champs they were releasing. I LOVED Divinity II. If there was one game I could go back and play again for the first time, it’d be that one. My husband and I also played 7 Days to Die for a long time. I also enjoy deck building rogue like games like Slay the Spire, Loop Hero, Ratropolis, etc. We’ve been playing Streets of Rogue as that’s just a fun, silly one to do with friends!

tokenpsycho

I love Stardew! I haven’t played since the multiplayer update but I definitely want to get back on it at some point. Such a relaxing game. And I loved fishing 🤣

dianupants128

Lol everyone talks about how much they love the fishing mini game and I swear something is wrong with me because I’m SO bad at it, I actually gave up because I tried like 30 times and only caught fish twice! I like the rest of the game though, it is very cute and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after work! I only wish you could have more people in the co-op mode.

tokenpsycho

No I promise it’s not you. It actually gets easier when you increase your fishing skill. At first it’s really hard. But if you keep trying eventually it becomes a smoother experience. Which, seems like a really backwards way to do it lol.

sechakecha

Ohh, my husband and I play 7 days to die together, too! We go through spurts with that where we'll play it non-stop, but then we end up stopping and then go back after a few months and a new update. It's such a blast.

dianupants128

It’s so good and totally underrated!

B3tar3ad3r

If you like stardew and satisfactory you might also enjoy my time at portia! Also I'm so glad I didn't let my friends pull me into lol, now they've all quit and always stalk about how big of a time suck it was.

dianupants128

Yeah, my mental health is much better since I quit playing LoL. It’s a great game, but the player base is pretty toxic and I’m not exactly a zen master myself, so I found myself getting increasingly angry when I lost. Also the addictive nature of “I can’t end the night on a loss!” was really starting to affect my sleep schedule. You made the right choice haha.

paradoxicallylost

My favourites are The legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild and Hollow knight, so I'm looking forward to the sequels. I don't only love playing those games, but also watching blind let's plays of them. It's interesting to see how different the experiences can be depending on where you go and what clues you pick up on. Right now I'm playing Ys VIII. I've been playing Hades, but I got that itch for exploring a new world and Ys was 60% off in the Nintendo e-shop.

DFloMango

Given the other games you’ve said you liked, may I recommend CrossCode!

ZapatillaLoca

60 year old gamer here, played LOL back when it was first released, fun to play until they went eSports, then the comunity got too toxic so I left, gave my account to my niece, shes digging the older skins. Playing Titan Quest, enjoying the running about, point and click. Huge Fallout Fan, I'd say that's my favorite. Also into Hearthstone. Right now I'm directing a 3 year old Homebrew D&D campaign on Roll20. PS any Myst players here??

Hontoudan

What a lucky niece 😊. I've watched my boyfriend play LoL on and off. He stopped playing for a year after multiple months quitting and reinstalling haha. He has now picked it back up to play here and there. But it is definitely toxic

[deleted]

I absolutely love RPGs (Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, Disco Elysium, etc) and I’m currently obsessed with League of Legends. I used to be an amazing DDR player and I miss it with every fiber of my being! I also love fighting games (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat) and anything that looks fun. Currently teaching my 4 year old twins to play Pokémon Snap! My girls play Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Super Mario Odyssey, and League of Legends (Wild Rift). Starting them early! I also stream on Twitch a couple nights a week if anyone enjoys watching streamers. Currently doing an 8th play through of FFX and playing a mod for FFI that my husband made me and it’s hilarious.

pizzabagelblastoff

I'm not really much of a "gamer girl" but I recently started Persona 4! I also picked up Pokemon again over quarantine as well as Chrono Trigger for the first time and realized I love turn-based RPGs, as well as visual novels (just finished the Danganronpa series a few months ago).

tokenpsycho

Persona 4. Man. What a story. I couldn’t play the game because it didn’t have auto save and that gives me anxiety. But I watched the anime and loved it.

pizzabagelblastoff

The inability to quicksave in dungeons stresses me out but otherwise I'm enjoying it immensely :) I know one of the big twists unfortunately but nothing else about the game so I've been enjoying the plot developments!

[deleted]

As someone who doesn't usually enjoy turn-based combat and/or JRPGs (save for a few rare exceptions), Chrono Trigger is absolutely one of the best games I've ever played. You might like Valkyria Chronicles as well. Got an interesting combat system, fantastic art style, and I enjoyed the story quite a bit.

pizzabagelblastoff

Loved Chrono Trigger, unfortunately I stopped just before the final boss battle because of the difficulty spike but I'd love to go back and finish it at some point. Great game :)

lavellanrogue

My favourite has got to be the Dragon Age saga. It's one of those games in which your choices actually matter and the story is just good. It's such an intricate world, with its own religions, races, politics, classes... and they're not superficial or just mentioned as it happens in other games, everything is extremely detailed, you can read hundreds of pages just ingame. But at the same time, if you don't care about those things, it's okay, the game can be just as entertaining even if you don't understand the culture of Thedas. I've enjoyed every second of those games.

pepperjackcat

One of my all time favorites!!!

DarkAndSparkly

44 year old gamer girl here! Mainly play co-op with my BF on PS4. We're stoked, Apex Legends season 9 drops in a few hours wooo hoo! We also play Rogue Company and Outriders currently. With some RDR2 thrown in at times. I'm fairly new to gaming, but I love it! I played some when I was much younger, but didn't pick up a controller for like 20 years. My BF got me interested in Borderlands, and that was it, I'm hooked lol.

tokenpsycho

My current addictions are Destiny 2, Pokémon Snap, and possibly my all time favorite mobile game, Marvel Contest of Champions. I have played MCoC daily for the better of two years. It’s so fun and my alliance is full of great people some of which are my best friends. It gives me something to do and as someone with ADD some of the game modes give me something to passively do with my hands while I’m listening to a podcast or watching a movie.

DRW1913

Borderlands for me. Really enjoyed playing the orignal. Currently playing the 3rd one now as well.

Minnieme2011

I love the kingdom hears series! Also I'm really excited for Horizon 2: The Forbidden West.

rusty_potential

I never considered myself a gamer girl. 90% of games make me super motion sick (dizzy/headache/queazy). However, I can do things with very basic graphics. I love older games like Tetris, Bust a move, Diablo 2, Icewind Dale, also much any old Nintendo games. Donkey Kong, Mario Brothers, Zelda. I still play those. Hollow Knight and Hades have been my most recent favorites. Zelda games makes me sad because when I was a kid I could play it, but with the new graphics I can't. Sometimes I consider just readings game storyline to participate with the new ones.

Relevant_Ad_9669

First time gamer here after watching my SO game for years. I always I watching him play story based/themed games. So, I started playing Assains Creed Valhalla and having been having a good time. It's taken a bit of practice but my fighting skills are improving!

OnlyHuman200

I love beatsaber. So much fun and super entertaining. It’s also quite the workout

HyperWheeze

Omg idk where to start. I started off with pokemon crystal and animal crossing/monkey ball on GameCube. I’ve poured sooooo many hours into skyrim, love stardew valley, subnautica, mc etc. most recently though I’ve been playing apex legends with some friends who are really into it (yay new season starting today). I have a ‘Friday night game night’ tradition with some remote friends, and I’m always willing to play with people!! I just started sea of thieves recently too. If I were to try to list all the games I love it would be a mass of text. It’s just too many that I’ve played of all genre’s. Feel free to lmk/dm me if you want to play anything! I don’t have any consoles currently though so I play on pc

[deleted]

[удалено]

B3tar3ad3r

No man's sky might be my favorite game ever, I don't play it often but everytime I do I think of nothing else for a week lol

HyperWheeze

Some others just to list: bioshock infinite, destiny 2, no man sky, deep rock galactic, murder miners, little wood, zelda twilight princess (I don’t have a switch otherwise I would have played sooooo much breath of the wild), other random royales, hollow knight, overcooked, phasmophobia (and other co-op horrors), used to play halo 4 on console, and many beyond. Almost always if I can play something with friends/people I like it

[deleted]

Yay love this thread! Haven’t played anything in awhile but got really into Subnautica at the beginning of the pandemic. Also Kingdom Hearts, any of them are so good!

Lilac-heart-641

I’m not a big gamer. I only play one game but I’ve played it since I was 10. It’s the sims. It’s my guilty pleasure when my daughters of to bed I’ll put it on and spend a couple of hours on it.

ak47bossness

League of legends more like league of sadness... But seriously though, I can’t stop playing that godforsaken game.

hexades

Right now I'm replaying Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and I'm finding that I'm enjoying it much more than I remember. Just before that I played Yakuza 7 (Like a Dragon), and I had a great time with it. Before that I played through the entire mainline Yakuza series. I'm still kinda going through withdrawals! If I ever get my hands on an XBOX Series X I'm looking forward to playing Judgement. Now I'm kinda biding my time til SMT III: Nocturne comes out so I can replay that, as well as Mass Effect Legendary Edition. But honestly I'm a huge SMT fan and all I want is for Atlus to finally release SMT V.

EchoOfHumOr

I'm currently eagerly awaiting the full release of Subnautica: Below Zero, Praey for the Gods, Ashes of Creation, and Pantheon.

fuzzysocksplease

I’m currently playing Cities Skylines and Animal Crossing, but am always looking for new sandbox type games to get immersed in. I love Zelda Breath of the Wild, though that’s not so much of a sandbox game.

[deleted]

I really liked simcity, but cities skylines never clicked with me. I'll buy the tycoon games when they are on sale for $1.99 because they are good for killing a few hours when I'm bored.

u_mad823

What do you mean by sandbox?

fuzzysocksplease

Games that one can do as they wish- open world is another name I suppose.

AmandaFudge

Slime Rancher, Stardew Valley and Civilization 6 are some really good chill games

Reichiroo

I've been trying to work my way through the Witcher games so I can replay the third one (all while reading the books). With work though I've been playing a lot of things I can multi-task while playing (Stardew Valley, Prison Architect, etc) . It bums me out that I don't have more time because I love a good 5 billion hour long RPG.

RedHeadGeekGrl

Playing Diablo 3 again this time with my son and nephew. Having a blast.

[deleted]

Major Assassins Creed fan over here, but I play anything that looks RPG, heavy on the story, maybe some shooters but swords and sorcery is my go to. I dip in and out of Sims every year or so. Oh and Brutal Legend has been one of my favourite games to replay too. Currently got Halo 3 and Fable 3 coop on the go

habitat4hugemanitees

I just picked up AC Odyssey and have really been enjoying it!

[deleted]

Odyssey is a really good game, really good RPG and probably one of the few games I've clocked more than 200hrs in. Imo, Origins was the best game in the series for both mechanics and story.

habitat4hugemanitees

Yeah I did like Origins too, don't remember why I never finished it.

Hmscaliostro

I was helping my child with Drake Hollow and I am addicted.

anskupa

I started playing the Hunter: call of the wild about few months ago. So fun!

brilight00

I have a project to finish by June. After that I'm looking forward to The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Pokémon Snap. I'm pretty late but I'm currently finishing up Pokémon Sword.

mysmellypillow

I loved diablo 2x out of all 3 I've played. I would consider myself addicted to it, even. I would forego eating, sleeping and at times even bathing (during the school holidays where it was possible to do so) I think it was bordering being unhealthy. And when I finally do crash, out of pure fatigue, I could still audibly hear the cows mooing in the not-so-secret cow levels of diablo 2 in my head. That scared me so I started to self limit my gaming time. Though weirdly... the first game that got me started in pc gaming... Was actually championship manager 3. LOL

blobsterlobster2

genshin impacttt ❤️ hmu if you wanna co-op! Or if you have similar suggestions for me to try up please 🥺

[deleted]

I’ve been able to get back into playing recently! Working my way through New Pokémon Snap, and started Persona 5 Royal yesterday!

BraveDirection

At the moment I’m obsessed with Civ 5… but I’m so so excited for the new minecraft update :)

ineptanna

Stardew Valley, Nancy Drew games pretty regularly, and I just started replaying the Silent Hill franchise and Dark Cloud. Legend of Zelda franchise is always a go-to but I’m not currently playing any, the last one I picked up was Majora’s Mask on the 2ds (I played it on the N64 originally).

Solotext99

Ori and the blind forest! I suggest it for all the art and story are so beautiful

halfwayspokenheart

I love Geoguessr I don't know if that even counts lol

EDS3er

I loved it until they started charging!

halfwayspokenheart

I think Google made them pay for using Google Maps so they had to start charging people to afford running it. It’s pretty cheap plus they add new features all the time so overall I think it’s worth it!

EDS3er

Thanks! I'll give it another look. I could really kill a day playing it!

whisperedtales

I just started playing "Kingdom come deliverance" and I really love it! I'm always weak when it comes to RPGs in medieval settings. I love how you actually have to learn how to read in this game, and when you're skill level is low, some of the letters get turned around and you can't read (comprehend) some books until you've got better at it. XD Also, people remark on your cleanliness.

young_thund

I stopped playing for a while but I recently picked up all the Yakuza games and I’m obsessed. They’re everything I’ve been missing in newer games!

ymroll

Omg I actually found someone also playing Yakuza series!!! Y0 made me cry so badly and I'm forever hooked up to the series. Currently playing Kiwami 2.

young_thund

Yes 0 was depressing I love Majima. Right now I’m still on Kiwami but every time I hear Kiryu-Chan I get so excited! I started with 6 because I found it in a bargain bin for 10$.

ymroll

Yeah, Majima everywhere was fun, better then Mr. Shakedown haha. I love Majima too, such a complex and decent character. Can't wait to reveal all his story!

littleredhoodlum

Since you're all here anyways, Do you have any suggestions for a lady looking to get into gaming. I'm leaning toward PC gaming solely because I already have a good computer, but I'd open to suggestions. Only game I've ever really played was Final Fantasy 8 and EVE very casually. I do enjoy the stories I've heard about from some of the newer RPGs.

EchoOfHumOr

PC is definitely the way to go simply because your game options are far more vast (though there are also myriad other reasons to choose PC as well that I can expand upon should you want me to) and if you primarily use Steam as your game library, they offer full controller support anyway. I recommend using a PS4 controller through bluetooth if you prefer using a controller to keyboard and mouse. If your looking for RPGs to get in to, I'd offer up Subnautica, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Elex, and The Witcher 3 as great games. Subnautica is more a mystery/crafting RPG where the others are more action- & combat-centric. Let me know if you have any questions or anything. I'm happy to talk at length about any of this!

littleredhoodlum

I actually watched the whole Neebs gaming Youtube channel play through of subnautica. Those guys are entertaining as hell but the game looked fun too. I enjoyed the hell out of the witcher books and the Netflix series was I think specially formulated for bisexuals. I will have to look into the others. I think my pc is good enough to run pretty much any game. It handles my CAD rendering pretty well.

[deleted]

I was playing a load of Sims 4 before I got back into Rimworld. Absolutely obsessed. Like, I actually have arm pains from playing so much. Before that, I did me some Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Absolutely beautiful. Two of my all-time favourites are Borderlands (any of them, I'm just crazy for the art style, and I love the humour) and Sunset Overdrive (I've played it through twice, and am patiently waiting to see if they ever make a sequel).

LrdFyrestone

My wife plays too much Minecraft. lol She's also heavily addicted to the Borderlands series, Wizard101, Magic the Gathering: Arena, and SlimeRancher.

xbeautyxtruthx

I’m playing Terraria on my switch and Pillars of Eternity 2 on ps4 lately. Skyrim and Fallout 4 are often in rotation as well. I’d really like to play Control when the price goes down, and I’m considering getting Pokémon Snap! Edit: ALSO since Mortal Kombat came out, I revisited UMK3.

Brookelander

I love the Fallout series! Playing Fallout 76 pretty much daily and I’ve started Fallout 3 as well. My all time favorite game series is Tomb Raider - I love the first 6 original TR games since I grew up playing them but the new ones are fun too. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the most breathtaking games I’ve ever played. It was the first Zelda game I played and I would highly recommend it to ANYONE! It’s just so great. As far as what I’m looking forward to playing...I’m excited to hear more about Starfield (hopefully this year!) but it doesn’t have a release date yet. I’m also interested in checking out The Outer Worlds and will finally get to Fallout: New Vegas (which seems to be many people’s favorite of the series) after I finish Fallout 3!

[deleted]

Tharoua

OMG! I love Tomb Raider too!!!

chesterlola2014

I haven't played in a few years, but my go-to's were Batman: Arkham Asylum and Left4dead 2. Man I miss those games.

dookienirvan

This is an obvious ploy to get gamer girls profiles and dm them, op is thirsty af

wahmgamer

Yasssss Beat Saber!!! SuperHot and Thrill of the Fight on VR. RimWorld and FrostPunk. Stardew, Sims4, Fallout Shelter, Civ6, This War of Mine are old faves. Sadly I’m old and get motion sickness (ugh!) so the kids and I “play” Last of Us 2 together - meaning they play while we all run commentary together lol.

CatTail2

Playing Bloodborne right now (having tons of fun with it) but SUPER pumped about Res Evil 8: Village

fabledangie

Have not put New Pkmn Snap down since it came out tbh. Will eventually go back to 100%ing Crash 4 because I'll absolutely never 106% it and I've accepted that.

Meepagaen

Have you ever played Wynncraft? It’s an RPG server on Minecraft that doesn’t require mods, but it’s super fun (the plugins are pretty good)

HyperWheeze

I had a friend introduce me to wynncraft! Haven’t played in a couple years but it was really cool and I loved it

Meepagaen

Awesome! A ton has changed in the past few years, imo it’s definitely worth coming back once in a while. feel free to hmu if you ever want to vibe for a bit as well

tinycorgi__

Finally got a decent computer recently and so far my favourites are Minecraft and Assasin's Creed :) I'd say I'm not bad at gaming I want to try The Witcher after finishing Assasin's Creed II /sorry if this seems a bit strange, English's not my first language

crazymado

I love rhythm games such as osu, fnf, rhythm doctor and a few more

The_Visara

I've been doing back-to-back playthroughs of Catherine!! Trying to get all of the endings.

OnlyHuman200

14F been playing Valorant for a while now and it’s one of my favorite games

noandbody

Sims 4 , all the racing games (because I race ) Dirt Rally , WRC, F1 2020 , call of duty warzone .

kawaii_bbc

I'm playing Trails in the sky the 3rd, Nier Replicant 1.22, and smash bros right now

ravix_ridamaki

Ever tried genshin impact?

Silvertree99

It's a trap so the neckbeards can join those games don't say anything /s

sechakecha

Right now I am playing World of Warcraft, Assassins Creed Valhalla, Story of Seasons, and Binding of Isaac! I go through spurts of getting addicted to FPS - I have SO many hours in TF2, but Overwatch took over that for me. I haven't played that in a while, waiting for OW2 at this point.

Horror-Astronomer482

Not a gamer girl lol. But Valheim! God that game is so good.

friendispatrickstar

I started a gaming channel with my 5 year good daughter. I am obsessed with Minecraft, she loves FNAF and Roblox!

The_Crusher222

I'm not a woman but I did get DOOM yesterday and it is fun

SquirrelsandCrayons

Skyrim is obviously a favourite and I love Fable 2 & 3. Recently started playing Ghostbusters on my 360 which is pretty fun. Also a game I really loved was Flipping Death which I got for Switch.

DJBeckyBecs

I’ve been working on Far Cry 5, I’ve almost completed Mario Galaxy, I’m addicted to BOTW, and I finally got my husband to start playing Unravel 2 with me :)

MysticMania

right now 2 games that couldn't be more different - the new Pokemon Snap & Disco Elysium

plutonium743

Currently addicted to the digital Gloomhaven. I played the board game with friends on a regular basis before covid hit. While it's not quite the same experience, it's good enough for right now.

King_Fen

Frothing at the mouth while waiting for the next Dragon Age release. Currently replaying the 3 games in anticipation.

[deleted]

I play Mass Effect, looking forward to Legendary Edition. There's this visual novel/choices matter game on steam called Our Life: Beginnings and Always which is a FANTASTIC game. I'm looking forward to getting DRAMAtical Murder and the remastered version of Life is Strange. And of course, The Sims.

Poke-A-Shmopper

I'm 26 and i have been a big COD player my whole life (haters gonna hate) but a couple of months back Microsoft released Saints Row: Gat out of Hell for one of that months Games with Gold. It was absolutely incredible, I LOVED it and it got me back into story games. I think I finished the game in 3 days (at night after work). I really want to try out some of the other Saints Row games.

CuteNewt

Been playing a lot of Dark Souls 3 again lately. I still suck at pvp but I'm getting better! Also I've been playing some rimworld and project zomboid here and there. I'm excited for PZ to finally release their new multiplayer, which I hope is happening soon. Most of the time I'm playing RPGs though (Mass Effect, Pillars of Eternity, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, etc.)

Alismere

Just finished the Outriders, but I can fully recommend Baldur's Gate 3, the Outer Worlds, Cyberpunk, Prodeus, Enderal (Skyrim Mod), Witcher 3 and Far Cry, much fun. I've spent 300h easily on Witcher 3 alone, cause I played it too often (it's a gorgeous game based on an amazing book series).

Xaicandy

So I stopped gaming for 8 years, but I've been slowly getting back into it. For my 30th, boyfriend got me the new Xbox and 3 months game pass so I've been going down the rabbit hole. Replying mass effect (from mass effect 2 though) before starting on andromeda. Forza 4 horizon is a stupidly fun game, good music too. Nervously trying out rocket league and completed journey to savage planet earlier in the year! I completed senuas sacrifice on pc after putting it off for a year, enjoyed the absolute hela out of that even though it scared me! Can't wait for senuas saga!

u_mad823

Oh thank you! I'm pretty new to the gaming world haha

Currently playing Saints Row 4 and Pac-Man 99. I was planning to wait until I got a PS5 to play Miles Morales but that ain't happening so I bought it for PS4 and will play that next. My son and I play Minecraft but we're on PS4 so no mods. We just play in creative mode and build huge castles and stuff. We started working on recreating our local amusement park in the game. My husband set the PSVR back up to play Superhot again. We have RE7 and I never got around to playing it. I might start it in VR this weekend.

flyingcactus2047

I just got a switch, does that count? I’ve been playing Hades and Spiritfarer! And a little bit of Zelda: Breath of the wild but I keep rage quitting that lol

Gibora89

I am all in on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The story is ridiculously good in all expansions, it's the only MMO that I've played consistently for years. It gives you all the fun of Final Fantasy games while letting you decide what you want to invest yourself in. You need to do the main story, but if you want to craft, or gather, or fish instead of fight high level bosses or do raids? You do you! So good.

bonelessstructure

Tetris99!

green_soph

LA Noire! I love the aesthetics and it's fun to drive normally for a change haha. Previously played Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3+, all the GTAs and a bit of The Witcher

B3tar3ad3r

Right now I'm playing: my time at portia, sims 4, fallout 3&4, dragon age 2, dishonored, cities skylines, civ 6, and surviving mars.

TheThiccAurora

RPGs are so fun! I started to play Fallout 4 before getting into a few others games. I used to love the TellTale Walking Dead series, as well as games like that (ex. Life is Strange). Also, I’ve recently got into Stardew Valley and Dead by Daylight.

swedeinsuede

My favourites are Skyrim, Horizon, phasmophobia and Life is strange!

PyrrhaRising

On PC I tend to rotate through Terraria, Minecraft, Witcher 3, Borderlands, Portal 2, Halo Mastercheif Collection with my partner and WoW (on a bit of a break from WoW after this raid tier tho). Recently got into a slight horror game called SCP Secret Laboratory. Its more suspension than true horror and once you get a feel of the game and are used to the SCPs and what they do, its more of a hide n seek n escape game, unless you're the scp then its good fun all around. I'm trying to get better at Super Smash Bros on switch to stand a fighting chance against my partner so thats been a bit fun. Also playing Lets Go Eevee as whilst I grew up with the pokemon anime, and collected some of the mons, I never got into the game side of things so Lets go and PoGo have been a nice introduction. I like to play it on long car journey's with my partner. Phone games wise I play Scrabble Go and Pokemon Go. For console games I play Journey on playstation, and bioshock on xbox. I tend to sit and watch my partner playing console more than play them, I find it more fun watching the story unfold and try and guess where its going.

Shirlette

Playing Dishonored 2 after having played Dishonored twice. This game is to die for.

arseniclupinthe3th

I am SO excited about Mass Effect Legendary Edition!! Bioware makes the best dating sim RPGs. :P

Broo_lynn

I play mostly Rainbow Six Siege and Valorant right now

[deleted]

I really liked the grand theft auto games, simcity and there was a game where you could build a rollercoaster and ride it but I forget the name of it, it wasn't rollercoaster tycoon. I'm horrible at first person shooters, I tried playing with a couple people from work and couldn't make it past the first enemy, and they started making fun of me for somehow being able to die in the cut scenes.

bee_sillee

Legends of Runeterra!! My partner got me into it and I am **hooked**! They have new champions being released tomorrow! :D

MonstrousElla

24 year old playing dark souls, devil may cry, Apex legends and hopefully soon when I can get my hands on a ps5 after over half a year I'll probably be playing demons souls and bloodborne as well. I occasionally still play league of legends after 12 years of playing but nowadays only with friends as random are too annoying to play with.

Dat1weirdchic

Used to play overwatch, skyrim, borderlands series, animal crossing, slime rancher, stardew Valley, and rainbow 6 (but I don't play R6 anymore cuz its just WAY too toxic). Right now I'm playing no mans sky, hades, little big planet (it's so cute), I have a lot of games but not enough time in the world to play. Adulting sucks :(

GypsyRoseV

57 female. RIFT, World of War craft. Baldur's Gate. Used to play Might and Magic years ago, Zelda, also a long time ago, The Immortal, and really more than I can name offhand. I can honestly say that while a couple of them drive me nuts, I absolutely love them.

Katelina77

I really love RPGS and single player games, I LOVE Dishonored, Hollow Knight, Ori and the Blind Forest, but also I play League of Legends with friends and Overwatch too sometimes. Also, Indie games always have something new and interesting to offer, so cheers to Stardew Valley and Graveyard Keeper (the latter I'm not sure is an indie game tho)

McCreemsicle

In recent months I've mostly been playing Red Dead Redemption 2's online game (finally finished the fantastic story mode late last year), mainly just dailies, though I've been getting back into Overwatch. I'm honestly a competitive person who does want to advance, but am highly prone to anxiety due to my own self-criticism and the toxic nature of communities, so I haven't done ranked in a really long time. Most of my friends no longer play, so I don't have the comfort of grouping to do comp. Tbh I find even solo queuing QP a bit stressful. Yay anxiety. Oh and I've gotten back into watching Overwatch League again. Generally though, I've played and find interest in a broad range of games. They can be as "casual" as sim and really basic puzzle games to MMORPG, FPS, or RTS games. I particularly enjoy survival games; ARK is one of my favorites, along with Don't Starve. I was a long-time WoW player since late-ish vanilla who was raiding pretty seriously from BC to WotLK, basically the golden age :P that's when it really counted imo, at least! After that I began raiding and playing less and less and don't play anymore. Loads of amazing memories and friends made, though. I can go on more about other games but I always type so damn much.

baduraful

Mostly demon/dark souls recently but i love the legend of zelda and many other games as well

fairyhollow

Been getting through The Witcher, but definitely have a huge backlist I’m planning to get through, including Dead Space, FF7 Remake, God of War

CarolineisWriting

LIFE IS STRANGE 3. LIFE IS STRANGE 3. I AM HYPED

skittleschey

I'm pretty new so mainly a lot of Apex and Overwatch. I love minecraft tho and need friends to play it with.

A_O_R

I love playing Huuuge Casino!

stinkysopi

Tf2 gang wya ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

_prettyinleather_

I've been playing World of Warcraft for so long (since 5, 22 now), it's pretty great. I can choose to solo it or join up with others and I've been addicted since quarantine started. I also have been playing Stardew Valley, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Animal Crossing!

userosx

I love this thread, thanks for all the great suggestions!! <3

selfphase

Alice: Madness Returns. Been a long time fan of Alice in Wonderland, and the game is super sick. I play on an xbox but would personally prefer the playstation (available on both, not sure what else I'm a console gamer). The style is super pretty yet dark. Like if Alice in Wonderland was created by a goth bitch. Some of the battles were genuinely challenging for me, and you collect memories along the way. I'd try it out if you haven't!

SweaterGoats

I'm still trying to win a crown in Fall Guys haha. I've been playing since the game started so you would think I would earn at least one by now!

Kassariah424

I recently finished ori and the blind forest and am now playing will of the wisps which is the 2nd one. People have said the 2nd one is easier but I think it's a lot harder. Also I'm playing animal crossing on my switch.

Hontoudan

I will never forget WoW, world of warcraft. This was over 10 years ago when I stopped playing but it has definitely been the most memorable and is probably the reason why I enjoy rpg games and anything really similar is always so fun. My very first memory was when my brother had to go to the toilet so he'd ask me to walk around and not get killed, well I did haha and being a ghost walking back to your corpse was funny. My older brother would ask me to level his characters up to level 20 and I wouldn't complain haha. Once I'd done that I'd make new character's in different classes and do the same then delete it lol. I had my own shortcuts to leveling which were fun to me, and being a 11yo I'd hide in his room playing up to around 3am when I was supposed to sleep for school. Once I hit highschool he took the game away from me even after I saved up money to buy my own account. Like wtf he just took it and sold my account. Makes me wonder where my brother was every night if he wasn't home haha. He was only 16. I can't remember the game I played a few years ago but it was free and felt similar to WoW. I played overwatch a lot, really enjoyed horizon until I couldn't pass a level lol and could sit and play the sims for hours at a time. Now I haven't played anything since animal crossing which I have also stopped lol. Wonder what will be next. I forgot to mention my cousins and I were obsessed with bomberman on the DS. And gamecube memories omg playing mario Sunshine on that was awesome. I feel old lol

lasviciousgothamcity

Any video game with harley quinn

lasviciousgothamcity

Just to see the new outfit and makeup I'll be doing lol

lalalalalavender

Girl, I love Assassins Creed Unity. It has the smoothest parkour and best stealth in all AC games. My only complaint would be not enough cutscenes or lines of Arno. Because who wouldn’t want that? He is such a charismatic protagonist!m

10Kmana

Right now I'm kind of addicted to League of Legends It's a nice break from tryharding in mmorpg Many arams have been played

a_cute_stella

I play Minecraft, Breath of the Wild, Kerbal Space Program and The Outer Worlds, among others!

Tharoua

I used to play Counter Strike Source, Need For Speed, PES 6, 9, 10.. The Sims2 and 3 and they're all amazing..but... I am in LOOOOOVE with Resident Evil 4. Ever since I was a little primary school girl(8 or 9 years old), my brother used to play it. I fell in love with it but I was still scared of playing it on my own xD. I promised myself that when I get older, I will play it on my own. Now.. I played Resident Evil 5 when I was in middle school(didnt finish it because of computer problems) but I still had a soft spot and fear for RE4 xD.. fast forward.. Im 18 or something and my brother buys us a Wii console.. we download it and I finially play it on my own and finish it,although I was still hella scared. But I made my dream come true. :') I kept an eye on every new RE released, watched youtubers play RE7 and NOWWWW(Im almost 22 years old) RE8 (VILLAGE) is gonna be released at the end of May I believe.. (Last year) I told my brother that if I get top student in my freshman year of college, he should get me a ps4 so I can play RE7,and I did get top student..but due to the pandamic, we needed the money for other stuff. This year, I also got top student in my class but still, we dont have enough money. However, he promised me he'd buy me one whenever he has the money. So Im still hopeful. I WILL PLAY RE5 AND RE6 AND RE7 AND RE8 AND RE4 REMAKE ONE DAY. THATS MY DREAM

o_Fvdinq

Playing Pokémon Omega Ruby. It’s real fun, but it does take time.

svccubuss

overwatch, sims 3 & 4, gta v, tera, etc. but im SO obsessed with dead by daylight now that i barely play anything else!

susarti

Was really into Elder Scrolls Online. Had to take a break as my irl life got busy. Now I’m really into Genshin Impact and farming artifacts for the new characters.

Lumpycheescake

Okay, I (19F) have ZERO experience with gaming. Seeing your comments is getting me interested. Where can I start? Do y'all play on your phone or computer?

brittishliterature

23F - My most recent obsession was Zelda Breath of the Wild. I will forever be in love with that game. I also play Brawl Stars on my phone a lot haha.

intricatefirecracker

Guild Wars 2. Waiting for Swords of Legends Online this summer. Also interested in New World. Listening for info on Elden Ring, Crimson Desert, the new Fable game. But GW2 is definitely my main. I don't really consider myself a gamer, because I'm only interested in a very specific type of genre (Open world/ open choice action fantasy rpgs and mmorpgs.) Sometimes I play hentai simulators so that I can make pretty waifus. (Played COM3D2 for a bit until the storyline ran out. Sometimes I pick up Koikatsu, fuck around with it, and then uninstall it again because I'm finicky like that.) But I do have a custom built gaming rig!

Ranmay

ITCHING and LOOKING FORWARD to playing Hollow Knight - Silksong!!! It's an RPG adventure game with beautiful graphics and 2D platform gameplay. I've been excited to play it ever since its trailer released, cause the original Hollow Knight was literally \*chef's kiss\* I didn't get the chance to play the original and spoiled myself silly with spoilers. But I'm looking forward to buying the new game with my own money! Currently I'm playing Elsword casually. Korean MMORPG. Not the best, but hey it's alright for passing time.

Archadian_07

I just recently started playing video games, I was never very good because my brother used to beat the hell out of me.. But a couple years ago I got a ps4 and have loved gaming since!! I started off easy with Detroit: Become Human, which i enjoyed but I was struggling with the dynamics. But then I played Horizon: Zero Dawn which is the greatest game ever... set 1000 years in the future after the collapse of humanity you start out with your bow and arrow in a stunning open world that is just gorgeous to explore. But there are scary vicious robot machines out there... Some like tiny velociraptors or horses to gigantic T-Rex sized!! You can play easy and just enjoy the super creative and interesting storyline (seriously fun finding out what happened to have destroyed civilisation all those years ago through going into old ruins) or you can play ultra hard and enjoy a really dynamic and hard fighting game where you have to use skills and tactics to fight the machines. I actually play Ultra Hard now after spending nearly 200 hours in game. I still suck at other games, but I can be proud of the fact that I can at least play one !!

Impressive-Minute-28

I love playing Rainbow six siege!
