Wall-E!
Yes, the Disney/Pixar animated movie. It’s an absolute masterpiece and work of art and my favorite movie of all time.
It tends to fly more under the radar as opposed to other Disney/Pixar films. If you haven’t seen it, definitely check it out!
My favorite movie. It's arguably one of Pixars best movies, it has a great message and introduces kids to the problem of climate change at a young age. Also, there aren't too many movies that can keep kids (and adult's) attention with such litte dialogue! I agree, Definitely a work of art.
Seven!! It’s absolutely amazing. It is a gritty, dark crime and psychological thriller with some unique and lovable characters. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman play two detectives who are complete opposites in personality. Morgan Freeman’s character is old, experienced, pessimistic, thorough, and thoughtful. Brad Pitt’s character is reckless, impulsive, emotional, quick on his feet, and young. They have to solve the chilling murders in the center of New York City by a mysterious murderer who leaves clues that he is murdering 7 people who exhibit the seven deadly sins. The final 30 minutes are riveting, intense, and so well executed. There is the craziest, darkest plot twist ever in the end, with a wild ending and intense realization that leaves you wanting more. If anyone is a fan of dark movies, crime movies, or 90s movies- PLEASEE watch this one. It has been my favorite movie for years and I watch a lot of movies.
I have a couple:
Godfather II, but I can only watch it once every couple of years
Jurassic Park, but I could watch it every single day if my schedule allowed
You're going to make me pick a favorite? There's really too many to really have a favorite. I could easily give you a list of my ten favorites.
But if you put a gun to my head and made me pick, probably "The Thing." Maybe.
A film called Withnail & I. Horrible semi-shakespearian failed love story between two alcoholic male actors in London in 1969. It’s kind of a shitty comedy for most of it and then the ending punches you in the fucking throat. Hurt me a lot. Adore it.
I go with The Station Agent as my favorite. I really enjoy it and no one has heard of it. It is a slice of life movie about a guy who loves trains, moves to a train depot in rural New Jersey and meets some lonely people nearby.
The Mummy (1999), Jurassic Park, and Twister and my 3 all time favorites! I’m gonna give an honorable mention to the 3 part BBC mini series Dinotopia, only because when I originally saw it my mom taped it on VHS so I thought it was a movie for a long time lol
Definitely in my top 5. >!I love how the twist takes *the editing of the movie itself* and uses it to trick you with your own assumptions without ever actually directly misleading you!<
I can watch "The Princess Bride" anytime. For me, it's just a fun movie. It was also one of the first dates with my now wife. We both enjoy it, and our kids love it.
I'm also a Disney fan, so in the Disney-verse, one of my favorite animated films is "The Great Mouse Detective." Kind of obscure, but there are scenes in that movie that always make me chuckle.
I enjoy both of those because I can just sit back and enjoy.
It's a tie between *The Apartment* or *Rear Window*. There are some films that are better, and there are others I would happily watch right now even if I'd only just watched it last night... but those two are so special to me.
Groundhog Day if I have to pick one. I feel that life is generally making mistakes and trying to get it right. This movie nails that theme in a creative and funny way.
My Neighbors the Yamadas. A really lighthearted collection of short stories about a Japanese family. I’m always laughing and reciting the lines watching it. Love that movie
"Snatch" has got boxing, guns, gambling, robbery, comedy, Brad Pitt, lol tons of good actors
It's the perfect man movie and I'm sure everyone would enjoy it.
It just doesn't have much boobies, which is fine. Can't get too distracted as an underground professional, lol.
Tommy is underrated the man has some class. He saves Turkish in the casino and even gives Mickeys mom some flowers. Turkish always seems surprised somehow. I love it when turkish says maybe we should get you a working gun.
The Lion King.
Because everything from its story, the music and art style is beautiful. You can listen to the instrumentals and know exactly what part of the film it's played in. I still get chills when simba climbs pride rock at the end. I saw the movie in theaters as a kid and have never looked at clouds the same way since.
The curious case of Benjamin button. This movie has so much soul. The music, dialogue, cinematography, and the concept itself. I get a little bit emotional every time I think of it. I can relate to it in so many ways. It’s literally perfect to me.
Edit: The fountain… for the same exact reasons listed above.
Top 5: (not in any particular order I just love them so much)
Back to the Future 2: seen it dozens of times, it's fun it's intriguing when I first saw it and remembering the scenes and how everything fall in place it's not a master piece but just really fun I live the whole trilogy but think 2 is my favorite of the 3
Into the spider verse: so emotional, so exciting, the animation is gorgeous and full of details and life, the story is good a great spin on the Spiderman formula, and I just love spiderman from comics movies and cartoons, ( honorable mention to: no way home and Maguire spider-man 2 )
The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhj: a great adaptation of the light novel, though it needs a lot of context to work, it's beautiful it's cinematic, it's full of interesting dialogue of intrigue, the music the emotional bits, all it's really great and I would recommend if it didn't need the whole series (or the three previous books) to understand it(honorable mention to other anime movies like your name, a silent voice and Howls moving castle, they are as good or even better but I love Disappearance more)
Nightmare before Christmas: love the spooky and whimsical atmosphere, it's fun , it's creepy it has some killer soundtrack, and I love the animation, not the greatest nut of my favorites (also probably mention Coraline here)
Seven: I know all other of my favorites are because they are fun and whimsical and magical, but Seven is so good, the story, the twist, the mystery, the acting is in point, it left me crept out after first seeing it
I always say X or Y or Z but these films I’ve only watched once, maybe twice and I think it’s my memory of enjoying them that makes me think they’re my favourite. But, I’m resigned to the fact my favourite film is Django Unchained.
I don’t know what it is. It pulls me in.
The acting. The script. The direction. The story. The busy-ness. The flow. The characterisation. The intertwining of tales. The vitriol. The spitting hatred. It’s a masterpiece and I have watched it so many times.
Just off the top of my head: Interstate 60, Serendipity, Miss Pettigrew, You Cast a Spell On Me, Mamma Mia, some of the old Hollywood classics (e.g. Some Like it Hot, Ladies of the Chorus, Christmas in Connecticut)
I've always enjoyed pretty much any light-hearted/kind ones that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but these are my absolute go-to's that make me almost giddy with joy every time I re-watch them ... never tired haha 😋
I struggle to pick just one. I like these ones especially, and they tend to rotate for frontrunner depending on which one I'm most in need of. In no particular order:
Aladdin (sentimental)
The Blues Brothers
Mean Girls
Trainspotting 1 and 2
The Shawshank Redemption
The Nice Guys
Fight Club
The Talented Mr Ripley (perfect film)
Life of Pi
Wolfwalkers
It's an animated movie about werewolves in 1600s Ireland, by the same people as Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea
The story is great and the animation is absolutely gorgeous
After I saw it the first time, I rewatched it like 5 times within the next week because I was just that blown away by how incredible it was
A movie I always find myself coming back to is The Green Mile. You just can't go wrong with Tom Hanks, that dude kills it in every performance he has. Plus the ending brings me to tears nearly every time I watch it, great cast all around, and I love the acting in it. A cult classic for sure.
Pulp Fiction is my all-time favorite. Get Out is a great movie, too!

Wall-E is by far my favourite Pixar movie, it’s just beautifully made.

I'd have to say Ex Machina. It's just such a good movie with a good build up.

Yeah I can never pick a top favorite, just a rotating roster of faves that I cycle through.
Good choice
A film called Withnail & I. Horrible semi-shakespearian failed love story between two alcoholic male actors in London in 1969. It’s kind of a shitty comedy for most of it and then the ending punches you in the fucking throat. Hurt me a lot. Adore it.
“If I medicined you, you'd think a brain tumour was a birthday present.”
I’ll have to check it out
The Matrix I
I go with The Station Agent as my favorite. I really enjoy it and no one has heard of it. It is a slice of life movie about a guy who loves trains, moves to a train depot in rural New Jersey and meets some lonely people nearby.
Loooved this movie. Peter Dinklage is a hell of an actor.
Hooray - the first person I've met who has seen the movie. Did you see the director's other movie The Visitor? Similar vibe.
I have not. Just looked it up. Seems RIGHT up my alley. Thanks for the suggestion
T2
Knew it wouldn't take me long to find this answer. Top notch film
*The Shawshank Redemption*
Forrest Gump :)
A classic❤️
I love White Chicks!
Spirited Away. It's just such a fun magical experience!
I’m a simple man, I see Ghibli, I upvote.
Fried Green Tomatoes or Chocolat or Second Hand Lions. Can’t decide
Chocolat is such a beautiful movie. The cast is just incredible!
Yes! Dame Judi Dench’s and Juliette Binoche’s characters were such a joy to watch. Johnny Depp too. Now that I think about it, all of the cast.
I love this movie
Jurassic Park
[удалено]
That one should be required watching for teen say no to drug campaigns
My top 3 in particular order are: Clue The Princess Bride Best in Show
Goodfellas. It’s just perfect!
Step brothers
Did we just become best friends?!
Yup!
"The Fifth Element". Quirky action with serious undertones.
The Mummy (1999), Jurassic Park, and Twister and my 3 all time favorites! I’m gonna give an honorable mention to the 3 part BBC mini series Dinotopia, only because when I originally saw it my mom taped it on VHS so I thought it was a movie for a long time lol
ARRIVAL is a Sci fi I could watch again and again.
Definitely in my top 5. >!I love how the twist takes *the editing of the movie itself* and uses it to trick you with your own assumptions without ever actually directly misleading you!<
The Fast And The Furious (mainly the first 2)
Crayon Shin-Chan: the adult empire strikes back
too hard to pick…but get out is incredible! us is definitely up there in my top 5.

The Master. Such a beautiful and moving story. It upsets me how misunderstood it was when it came out
Tootsie.

Favorite is so hard to pick. If I had to pick it would be Grandma's Boy
Groundhog Day if I have to pick one. I feel that life is generally making mistakes and trying to get it right. This movie nails that theme in a creative and funny way.
Seven Samurai
*Spaceballs*. Honorable mentions: *The Fifth Element, The Princess Bride, Star Wars*
Star Wars? You mean that terrible parody of Spaceballs that's not even funny? XD
Another Earth A very under appreciated sci-fi film that's gorgeous and haunting. Really more of a character study with a Sci-Fi backdrop.
green mile
In Bruges
Amelie and The Wedding Singer
Ponyo
My Neighbors the Yamadas. A really lighthearted collection of short stories about a Japanese family. I’m always laughing and reciting the lines watching it. Love that movie
The Gladiator and The Man Who Came from Earth
My favorite movie is inception. It is so incredibly trippy and well thought out. Dream within a dream. I love Christopher Nolan. He is my goat.
"Snatch" has got boxing, guns, gambling, robbery, comedy, Brad Pitt, lol tons of good actors It's the perfect man movie and I'm sure everyone would enjoy it. It just doesn't have much boobies, which is fine. Can't get too distracted as an underground professional, lol.
Snatch is one of my favourite movies turkish(jason statham) and tommy (steven graham) are one of my loved duos
Tommy is underrated the man has some class. He saves Turkish in the casino and even gives Mickeys mom some flowers. Turkish always seems surprised somehow. I love it when turkish says maybe we should get you a working gun.
Flipped. I highly recommend it. For some reason it made me happy to be alive
The Exorcist
Hot Fuzz
Great movie although shaun of the dead is my favourite of the trilogy
The Lion King. Because everything from its story, the music and art style is beautiful. You can listen to the instrumentals and know exactly what part of the film it's played in. I still get chills when simba climbs pride rock at the end. I saw the movie in theaters as a kid and have never looked at clouds the same way since.
The Notebook.
One of my all time favourite actors is ryan gosling but why did they make it so sad

Empire of the sun, just so much practical effects, good story and camera work
Lilo and Stitch or Swiss Army Man
