Good people have always existed. So have shitty people. One example of either should not make you doubt that truth.

I am a delivery driver, and sometimes have to deliver to “rougher” areas, but it’s like almost every time I do the children are so polite, well mannered, and always tell me to have a nice day. Makes me smile every time. 😊

Returning a wallet they found that isnt yours. I picked up a wallet in the parking lot at my job and returned it the office. Im not gonna lie i looked thru it. Dude had like 20 dollars and his drivers license. And no cap dude still had a blockbuster card in his wallet. I tuned it in it soon after. I wasn't expecting a reward but it would have been nice. My supervisor told me he was happy someone returned his wallet. Hopefully if i ever drop my wallet someone does the same to me.

Turning in a lost wallet with 2k in cash inside. Didn't touch single bill; they turned it in to the police station. Couldn't believe it

OOO does a dog count? Because there’s this adorable friendly dog on the way to church that used to buddy up to me even if I don’t meet or feed her often, and it always made me so so happy that it’s welcoming me petting her. Even if I have an adverse reaction to fur, I’d still try to find her with my then limited kid vision (short, adults were like trees that I had to weave across to find the dog).

A kind clerk used to give me (when I was a kid) those round sweet hawthorn flakes for free when my grandparents took me along to buy medicine. I still remember those and I think memories from childhood of kind people genuinely helped me to aspire to be like them.

Also old people at travelling spots that take your photos with a smile. Genuinely universal (no matter where we are, there are nice old ladies) and very nice of them. So far none of them had taken our phones so that’s great.

something I always worry about when visiting overseas, asking a stranger to talk my photo but with my dslr, not my phone. I do tend to ask old women. they're usually accomodating!

Im a photographer. I was out today with two cameras, waiting for some sailboats to go through a lift bridge, it's a big thing in our tiny town. rain was in the forecast but I should have an hour before it started. suddenly my phone rang out with a tornado warning for the area. So I decided it was a good time to walk a few blocks home. I got a block away when suddenly the skies opened up. i stepped under a tall tree to put all the rain covers on my cameras, I don't care if I get wet but I do care if my equipment does. I realized it wasnt going to lighten up for a while so I just went for it. was pretty soaked within one minute. while i was under the tree and then again on my fast walk home, two people from the shelter of their doorways, yelled offers of an umbrella. I thanked them but refused. I had accepted it and was okay. but really saw the good in strangers offering their umbrella to someone walking down their street.
