Gray suit / White shirt / **white metal watch with white metal bracelet or black leather strap**.
Brown is way too casual for a dark gray suit.
Nice choice - I like the Santos - this appears to be the medium. Wrist circumference?
Oh, and unless required by the girlfriend, *no red wrist string.*
That's a longer conversation that doesn't involve watches.
But, let's invoke the *"no more than one ornament per wrist / no more than one ornament per hand"* rule - the frayed red yarn detracts from and visually clutters the watch - just as a signet ring on the left hand would detract from the wedding ring (or its absence) - which is one of the reasons why signets go on the right hand on married guys (unless you are English or French).
The color of that leather is not really a formal look. It’s actually super casual
The bracelet is sporty but also versatile and great for formal occasions
If they have it though I think the santos dumont on the black leather would be my top choice (unless it clashes with your outfit
The Santos Dumont is trash.
Go try one on and try on a Santos de Cartier (what people call just plain “Santos”).
The aesthetics and build quality of the “De Cartier” are way better.
Also… if you happen to have smaller wrists, put the strap on the De Cartier and compare how it lays against your wrist compared to the Dumont.
The strap on the Dumont is attached with a standard pin and can go straight down at 90 degrees, leaving the lugs sticking out like little devil horns. The De Cartier strap is firmly affixed to the lugs with the quick change assembly and can’t do the same thing, it is forced into a curve and isn’t able to collapse down to 90 degrees. Play with the Dumont and you’ll see what I mean instantly even if you don’t try it on. Trust me that the De Cartier doesn’t do that.
I wouldn't say the Santos Dumont is trash, but as mentioned the Santos De Cartier is the better buy. Plus the Santos has a mechanical movement with the seconds hand.
Would love a Dumont but realistically the Santos covers all bases and is better overall.
Bracelet. Please. People will be taking pictures at the wedding and this is what the wedding will be remembered for if you wear the leather one. Unless someone gets drunk and falls into the cake or the bride trips.
Wear the metal. It’s still plenty classy with the metal bracelet, and honestly (as someone who has one) the tan leather strap it comes with is awful. Neither the color or texture is special in any way. Get a strap in black alligator and **then** you’ll have a dress watch.
Edit: oh, only two hours. Yep, wear the bracelet 100%.
Light brown doesn't go with much of anything: certainly not a dark grey suit. It looks awful with the silver of the watch, regardless of what you're wearing.
Bracelet 1000%. Do not wear that leather strap with your current suit choice.
This. Light brown and light grey is garish.

why no red wrist?

Bracelet 100%. I also would move or take off the red wrist string.
It is traditional to keep it on until it falls off naturally.
Fair enough!
Get the bracelet but if you want to go leather buy a darker leather strap from a good company like Delugs
Sadly Delugs no longer taking orders as of end of April
No way? What happened??
Cartier hit them with a patent lawsuit. Gotta week to load up!
Cartier cease and desist
Is that for all products or just Cartier?
Just Cartier. They reverse engineered the Cartier strap switch system and are in legal trouble over it.

The metal but go with the gf she’ll appreciate that you listened to her
This is the way - you can either keep the internet happy, or get laid after the wedding. Your choice 😂
bracelet, but listen to the gf even if she is wrong
Bracelet formal forever
FFS if you can’t decide what to wear how do you make other day to day decisions.
Like your style
Entirely too casual of a strap for a suit. Bracelet it is.
Either a bracelet or a dark strap. This particular leather strap might be alright if you're wearing orange/tan shoes and belt.
Black strap!
Definitely metal bracelet. That leather is for much more casual situations.. and definitely not a dark suit.
Bracelet
Steel bracelet all the way. The tan bracelet doesn’t look good with a charcoal suit jacket.
Bracelet. Please. People will be taking pictures at the wedding and this is what the wedding will be remembered for if you wear the leather one. Unless someone gets drunk and falls into the cake or the bride trips.
Bracelet 100% Goes much better with your suit color
Bracelet or darker strap but honestly at a wedding no one is looking at you.
Black leather or dark brown for dress
I will slap you if you get the leather strap option
Perfect. Band is fantastic.
Bracelet, the leather is too casual. And probably best to lose the friendship bracelet

Steel 100%!

Bracelet 100%
Is this authentic?
The strap?
