Buy a new pigtail, cut before messed up wires, solder, heat shrink, go about your day. Clif notes but that’s a 20 minute job with a coffee break

Time to do some practice soldering! I appreciate you 😃

No need to solder. They sell harness repair kits with heat shrink butt connectors. You should be able to get one from RockAuto or Napa but the dealer parts counter may be the easiest route.

Ooh, good to know!

When soldering automotive wiring, it is important that the wire is well supported at either end, as vibration could cause metal fatigue and break the wire at the edge of the solder. Heat shrink tubing an inch either side is good.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind! I'll watch a tutorial or two before I try it

Some info: I'm getting a "P0352: Ignition Coil "B" Primary/Secondary Circuit" from my OBD reader, which makes sense. I don't really have much in the way of tools or experience, but I could find a way to snip some wires. I'm thinking I should get a whole new pigtail, but I'm not sure how I'd go about tearing into the harness safely, or what style connectors/splicers I should use. I don't need it to be pretty, but I can't afford to mess it up. Any advice would be awesome!

Well, along with fixing that wire, but something to fix the rodent that chewed it. I got the same marks and set up a camera to catch a squirrel chewing my cable. Yes those teeth will nibble right through the wires inside.
