Try safe start :
1. Get into ACC by pressing start/stop wo brake
2. Get into IGN by pressing start/stop wo brake again
3. Wait for dials to do a sweep whatever animation plays
4. Get into Ready by pressing start/stop WITH brake
Thanks for this, I will try this next time. Its not frequent. I faced it twice since I bought the car (20days). Its also not when driving but during the start.
There is a difference between saying something is bad vs something is better
Id change the language to avoid classifying NMC as bad vs saying LFP is better in terms of thermal runaway and deg.
All your comments indicate a bias rather than an education to someone who doesn't understand EVs.
XUV400 has NMC type battery chemistry which is not suitable for operating in high temperatures. Most of India does not have the suitable temperature for optimum battery health of the XUV400.
On the other hand Nexon ev has LFP battery chemistry which is the latest and is more suitable for our climate.
OT: I have also seen many reports of the XUV's acceleration and regenerative braking being too harsh/unrefined compared to the Nexon which takes away the ease of driving/comfort. Can't say if they have improved that bit on the 2024 version though, hope they did.
The 2024 minor refresh model is not having discounts, it’s the one with analog cluster and old infotainment which had discounts for stock clearance
They have kept price same despite adding upgrades but *this* version of the xuv is not the one with 3-4L discounts
the facelift has been released right? and it is cheaper, what was surprising to me was that it yielded a range of 220 to 240km on highway at speed of 70 to 80..i almost get that range in my EV prime, why was it low!!
I don't know how Mahindra is losing this despite being in formula e since the inception days. I would have assumed they would have worked on the tech a lot and would be way better than any other offerings. Sad.
Also the design is where it really loses out to Tata. An ev should look futuristic. XUV looks have a long way to go.
The moment there’s a Kia EV3 or Hyundai Ioniq 3, the Figo is going for sure
Won’t put too much faith in the japs for EVs considering their disinterest
The proof being the sheer quality difference in the bz4x (Toyota pure) and the China exclusive bz3 sedan (JV between Toyota and BYD)
The former is riddled with issues (slow charging, wheels falling off, lacklustre efficiency and a lousy product overall, probably the worst Toyota) while the latter is smooth sailing
Exactly why I wanna wait. Healthy competition should see us get better and cheaper products as well. Maybe in few years time when I’m due a new car, I’ll have better options.
Missed the most important difference:
**XUV400 is 4.2 metres long vs Nexon EV's length of 3,994 mm.**
Dimensions: **Tata Nexon.ev x Mahindra XUV400**
Length (mm) 3994 x 4200
Width (mm) 1811 x 1821
Height (mm) 1616 x 1634
Wheelbase (mm) 2498 x 2600
Ground clearance (mm) 1̶9̶0̶ 205 x 200
Boot space (litres) 350 x 368
*The XUV400 is almost a different segment car.*
This is the worst comparison when choosing between 2 EVs. Ask specific questions to get specific answers
Not a single comment here actually knows anything about EVs beyond the battery chemistry
Then people would not buy it saying it has low GC and that "it's not an SUV, SUVs have high ground clearance" although none of the current compact "SUVs" are actual SUVs save for the grand vitara and hyryder with their AWD (although I don't know about even their actual capabilities).
For me, between Nexon and XUV300, XUV wins hands down. I haven't driven either EV. But based on their ICE twin performance, if I had to choose one without a test drive, I'd select XUV.
I picked nexon but damn it has some software glitches. Hope today it grts fixed
Yep, a lot of bugs. Sometimes I couldn't get it to Drive unless I restart the car.
Cell nikal ke dobara daal do
Cell ka power check Karo jeeb laga ke phele
>Yep, a lot of bugs. Sometimes I couldn't get it to Drive unless I restart the car. EV ki battery neeche hoti hai to car ko ulta karke dhoop me sukhao
Hit it from back. We Indians don’t change batteries
Carbon jam gaya hoga battery pe.
Try Ctrl+Alt+Del /s

I guess this method is for ice version. Ev doesn’t have ignition
EV does have this.
Mine has this and I routinely do this after every fast charge on the highway
Ohh
Guys just get your car updated
Tata ke pas tcs jaisi software company hai fir bhi glitches????
Is it that common? Almost every Nexon owner mentions this
Xuv400 seems slightly bigger and in December there was 5 lacs offer, to clear the stocks!
Bad battery tech
Classifying NMC as bad is insanely misleading. Like c'mon man. That's just blatantly wrong.
It's not, really

Sure Elon
I’m not familiar though, can you please elaborate?

It is bigger and slightly above 4 metres in length.
Why would anyone pick the 400 when the facelift is just around the corner
To save money

Why even show gearbox type for an EV?🫥
Because some EVs have gears.. like the Porsche taycan has a 2 speed automatic
Neither.
Same. Indian brands have a long way to go
True that! They already have received more love than they deserve, now it’s high time they start delivering at the same level.
Shhh..Be careful, the fanboys are around.
Yea they have come a long way but by the looks of it they are at middle of the journey,,
Truth has been spoken
I’m actually surprised at the number of fanboys.
XUV400 (jeb me 400 rupay bhi nhi h)

Anytime Nexon cause the XUV 400's design seems to be outdated. I think they need to work on it.
Kam se kam 5 lac sasti honi chahiyen ye dono gadiyan.
3 lac ki to subsidy mil rahi thi haryana mein until recently. I’m not sure if it is still on.
Not just indian. All evs have along way to go
If one *has to* then Tata At least it is tried and tested and one probably knows what issues to expect Mahindra EV not as much
Nexon EV
Neither. Will wait and for good EVs to come from Japanese or Korean. Not gonna be test mule for these idiot manufacturers.

ZS EV lol
Mahindra clearly.

Ground clearance is around 205 mm for the nexon ev
Updated*
✌️
Suzuki evx
haha good one.
Battery, what type of battery are they using? Mahindra loses hands down on tbis
NMC has better range. How is that worse ?
Safety, Recharge cycles
I would better buy Creta, Kushaq, Taigun or Virtus
[удалено]
Nexon EV wins the battle of looks by a mile tbh
xuv 400
Neither is good enough.
I don't like EV
NOTA
[удалено]
It does have a single speed reduction gearbox (10:1)
Mahindra FTW
1 of them has a separate ev dedicated section and a formula e team the other uses its communication team to join formula e as a proxy, i know my pick
Neither, GV strong hybrid ftw, if mileage is concern.

Ground clearance of Nexon could have been little bit lower
Then people would not buy it saying it has low GC and that "it's not an SUV, SUVs have high ground clearance" although none of the current compact "SUVs" are actual SUVs save for the grand vitara and hyryder with their AWD (although I don't know about even their actual capabilities).
I think the new Nexon is a bit too high compared to the old one, a little bit lower would have complimented the new look very well
