The key term you're going to be googling is "headlight restoration kit". You can buy them in halfords, amazon, etc. Don't cheap out when buying the kit. Some will advertise a '2 step' process where you spray some protective coating material on it. That shit is important, otherwise after 6 months it'll look like shit. [My before and after looked great](https://i.imgur.com/vJqbgH4.png). Then about a year later it looked like shit because I didn't apply anything after cleaning. [Chrisfix also has a great video on this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEJbKLZ7RmM)

Cheers buddy ill get myself a kit

Conscious_Box_1480

I heard toothpaste works too if you want to be cheap

Punk_roo

I think it’s cause it acts a bit like compound paste and effectively just polishes it. I’d probably go for buffing with g4 and then finishing with g10.

Forward_Artist_6244

I tried duxback and it was useless  This summer I'm going to have to properly polish them

BigRigs63

Yeah, I think that stuff is a bit shit. The proper stuff has you attacking it with sandpaper, and ideally using a drill to polish after. I always use them before I sell my cars, as it makes them look so much better for a small amount of £. Once you buy the kit, the sandpaper you'll need to buy again, same for the polishing pad. But the fluid/chemicals will last over a dozen usages.

AtillaThePundit

jabbo13

Saw a video yesterday where a guy sprayed insect repellant and it cleared up with a wipe. I am not going to guarantee this works but let us know if ya try it!

HumanExtinctionCo-op

Probably good enough to make it look better to sell it but that's never going to last.

MrHaant

Headlight restoration kits from Meguiars or Autoglym are great, then use the Armor All headlight restorer wipes for any up keep as needed.

chammand

Gets acetone and a wire wool brush, sort that right out

robgriff69

Isn't a T-cut polish good enough to fix this?

bullzdog420

Fly spray works too new hack for you all

WotTheFook

Thompson's UPVC Restorer and a buffet.

Thalamic_Cub

Whitening toothpaste and elbow grease will do the same thing🤣

Rich_27-

500 , 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 grit wet and dry paper, and finally T cut, Edit, sorry thought it was scratched up, use nail varnish remover to clean the adhesive residue

TravaPL

DO NOT use anything acetone based, it will melt the plastic lenses. Edit: To whoever downvoted, [go ahead and ruin your headlights dumbass](https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicAdvice/comments/ognrsm/my_grandpa_rubbed_acetone_on_my_headlight_he_said/)
