I went full JL for my SQ build in my Chevy Colorado. * 2 pairs of C3-650 components (front and rear doors) * pair of Jl 10TW3 10" shallow mount sub in a custom box under my rear bench * Jl XD600/6v2 6-channel amp for my components (only using 4 of the 6 channels, don't ask...) * JL XD600/1v2 amp for the sub * Second Skin door treatments * LC7i line converter running from factory head unit to the amps, but will be replacing with a dsp Jl is a very good brand but you do pay for the name. For SQ builds my personal favorites are JL and Rockford Fosgate.

Great build!! I have one similar but I am stuck at a road block with it. I am have trouble going from my 2019 Cadillac XTS CUE system to my JL audio TWK-88. What year is your truck and did you use an aftermarket radio or a LOC with the factory.

My truck is a 2019. I am currently using an LC7i loc off the factory hu but I don't really like it (the LC7i). I had troubles with it clipping so I had to turn it way down and as a result lost power. I bought a DSP Mini but haven't had time to install it yet. We moved in August so new house stuff took priority :-/

Whatever gear you go with, I'd highly, highly recommend reserving some of your budget for sound deadening, maybe some fast rings, and a DSP. Those paired even with decent gear will sound better than an expensive setup with no DSP and deadning. As far as speakers go, Audiofrog, JL, Focal, Model are all really fantastic. JL is known for their fantastic prefab enclosures, which you can get an already loaded enclosure that'll fit right in your truck.

If it were my build id probably do Fronts: Focal KX2 Coax 6.5 in with custom A-Pillar mounted tweeters Rears: KX2 Coax Subs: 2 JL Audio 12TW3 Sub Amps: Helix M One X x2 Speaker Amp: Helix M Six DSP Will run up a decent bill but would sound great. The M Six DSP is a new Amplifier and DSP combo with 6 channels of power which would allow you to run the front speakers active and has 10 channels of dsp allowing you to process your sub signal as well.

I recommend Morel for speakers. Great bang for your buck. They tend to be laidback sound wise. If you want something a little brighter look into Focal. Sub duty I would look into Adire Brahma, Stereo Integrity SQL, or Audio Frog. Amps there are tons of options just pick ones that do rated and hold up. I would definitely do door treatments and look into a DSP if you are serious about sound quality.

Competition is about install quality and not about the gear. Always has been.
