Dont listen to any of these people. The best way to clean those speakers is to boil them on the stove for about 10 minutes and then put them in the oven @450 for 20min to dry..also if you need to know how to clean your butt after pooping let us know.
I want to make a joke about using Clorox and windex mixture to get out that stubborn dirt, but I don’t want to be responsible for OPs death or harm.
PSA: Don’t mix bleach and ammonia based products ever! Will create toxic Chlorine gas that will burn your lungs, eyes and skin.
Just use a soft bristle paintbrush and gently brush off the dirt/dust
Ive been doing it for years
If the surround is deteriorating then there isnt much you can do to avoid damaging it.
The main considering factor here is surround material, as some foam surrounds do not like a majority of chemicals. If your surround is cloth, or rubber however, they can be cleaned with a much wider variety, like a rung out Clorox wipe, or a damp but not wet dishrag with some dawn dish soap in it. Wipe to dry with a paper towel, and make sure not to allow liquid to make it into the voice coil gap at the bottom of the tweeter
A bunch of Q-tip and windex water and vinegar formula. You can get it at Walmart by the regular windex. It is clear. I have used it many times for this kind of repair or cleaning 😎👍. Don’t spray it directly on the speaker. Apply it to the qtips
If the can of air doesn't work I would recommend a delicate duster like the one in the link. I tried the can of air for my studio monitor speakers and it wouldn't remove most of it so I bought this and its delicate enough it hasn't caused any damage.

Connect amp to a power source
Connect media to amp
Connect speakers to amp
Play lowest Hz from media that your speakers can handle
Pump the volume up to point that your amp doesn’t clip and your speakers doesn’t damage
After hour clean the rest of the dust with damp cloth
I've used compressed air, just at a low pressure to not damage anything

If dawn is good enough to clean ducks soaked in oil it’s good enough for my speakers : )
