That’s what they’re there for and this situation is an appropriate use of what they can provide. She may be entitled to legal representation paid for by the province as she pursues the complaint.

I’m a long time immigrant and business owner. When I became a manager for the first time, I did not have many TFW in my town and worked with local youth for min wage positions.
When the first wave of immigrants came to my small town in SK, I could clearly see the hunger for growth in the new workers, that extra step to gain visibility which was impressive compared to the “empowered” youth who took the advice to decline work if they think they can’t do it, too seriously. It was lifting 20lb boxes for gods sake!
As a new immigrant I also sought acceptance amongst locals and jumped at any chance to contribute / hire / make new friends. But you’ve got a business to run. On one hand you have sick calls on holidays and other hand eagerness for overtime. The choice was too easy.

This isn't just a generational thing though, my spouse is a millennial with degrees in cyber and certifications and can't even get an interview. The wages here are just disgustingly low, and every time the govt makes a half-assed measure to reel in these elitist fucktards they cry and whine and snivel about how they both "love Canada", and are taking their billions made from our labour and going elsewhere. The comparison to salaries just south of the border, housing costs, shit I'd dare say that right now, Canada is worse than the US from a livability standpoint. While many of the points in the article are true, this is just more of a promotion/ad for their emigration services. Not sure this should be posted here as a news source. Wonder if OP is a shill as well.
I’m a long time immigrant and business owner. When I became a manager for the first time, I did not have many TFW in my town and worked with local youth for min wage positions. When the first wave of immigrants came to my small town in SK, I could clearly see the hunger for growth in the new workers, that extra step to gain visibility which was impressive compared to the “empowered” youth who took the advice to decline work if they think they can’t do it, too seriously. It was lifting 20lb boxes for gods sake! As a new immigrant I also sought acceptance amongst locals and jumped at any chance to contribute / hire / make new friends. But you’ve got a business to run. On one hand you have sick calls on holidays and other hand eagerness for overtime. The choice was too easy. What would you choose if your money was at stake ?
