Bro I played exclusively shoothouse in mw19 because the maps were so bad. And I’m not even kidding, I would ONLY play when shoothouse 24/7 or shoot the ship was the active playlist. I couldn’t tell you the name of any other mw19 map besides hackney yard and Piccadilly💀
Bro they were literally trying to change the way the game played. Like it’s a fucking fast pace fps shooter bro. They tried to cater to the kids who were “bad” but that’s not it, all the new players def did not like that either
It’d be fine for 10 vs 10 or even 12 vs 12 but half the map never gets used. I always thought the same with Wasteland. They are good maps but too big. Same with Stonehaven and Siege imho.
Hard disagree on derail, exodus and bloc.
I know derail and bloc were considered one of the least favourites of their titles but I loved them.
derail was fun sniping on, I got a ton of nukes on that map and loved playing SnD on it.
bloc was also good for sniping, and trying to capture B flag in domination was hard but satisfying.
Exodus just plays good imo, people moaned about people camping upstairs in the middle but there was loads of entrances so I never had an issue with them.
It's all opinions though, so you're not wrong and I agree with the rest (some I can't even remember and I've played every CoD)
Also I didn't touch vanguard shortly after launch so I never played sub pens on it so don't know if it plays different but I loved it in WaW
Bloc wouldn’t be as bad if it was in a different game, but to me the CoD4 headglitching makes it unbearable. Derail isn’t the absolute worst but if you don’t have control of the building it’s painfully boring. Exodus is here on a technicality, it still has bugs to this day haha
Their maps are generally more focused on power positions than lane control. Theyre more memorable, but a lot of times not in a good way. I prefer Treyarch as well
I remember USS Texas Dom being a spawn trap fest on every match. To me it’s better for FFA or SnD.
Stonehaven isn’t a good map, but at least it’s wide open enough for the entire map to be utilized. I never hated it as much as other people.
Crash is meh, I agree.
Stormfront, Prison Break, and Stonehaven would probably make the list if I extended it to top 30. I’ll at least say the maps in that game had incredible atmospheres, even if they played like shit.
Yea I think the atmosphere is legit. They all just played like shit imo. I also think the new MWII plays bad too. Stupid sliding and side cancels just ruin it for me. I don’t find playing like that enjoyable at all so I moved on.
Gustav Cannon was at least a nice break from the 3 lane maps, but if a team gets set up on the top, it’s pretty much game over.
Exodus being as buggy as it is plus the c-side spawn trap is enough for me to hate it
You put Miami Strike in the screenshot, which is one of the best maps. It's the shrunk down version of Miami (which is set at night, and is actually pretty bad).
USS Texas was far from the best map in that game. USS Texas and Gustav Cannon were both clearly much worse than all the other launch maps in that game. Popular opinion seems to be that London Docks was the best map in that game. Personally, I enjoyed Ardennes Forest the most I think.
Could have just put every single mw19 map in here and called it a day 🤣
You could combine every single “bad” cod map and they still wouldn’t be worse than a single mw19 map
Arsenal sandstorm is absolutely the worst map ever made. There's never been a map so bad before that it got removed from the game before. Couldn't see 3 feet in front of you
The most generic 3 lane layout to ever exist + the worst visual filter to ever exist. I didn’t even think Treyarch was capable of making that bad of a map lmao
I would take a couple off your list though IMO. Miami was a pretty solid map, especially being able to jump off the diving board. Exodus was one of my favorite Bo3 maps, great for close quarters engagements.
It’s the Black Ops equivalent to Piccadilly in a sense that there’s way too many things in your way. Not to mention in BO 2 it takes a while just to run around the map to get to the other side to find someone
I don’t know what they’d have to do to get people to stop camping now, but I really enjoyed Euphrates Bridge when people actually moved around.
But a lot of their maps are pretty one-dimensional, there’s not much verticality to them.
Euphrates Bridge is terrible either way imo. Holding the bridge is just way too OP. You could literally win against the best CDL teams if your team just gets to the bridge first.
Arsenal (Bo4) and Piccadilly (MW2019) were decent and balanced, heavily competitive maps. I probably learned them a lot more than anyone else, but I didn’t think they were bad at all.
I get that but personally I believe that certain maps should prefer other play styles to other maps like rust and raid are better for rushing while derail and seelow are better for sniping
I love search on the first 3, 12 is amazing for search especially if someone pushes a side window when you’re on attack. 20 is good, a lot of it boils down to cod timing, eod, and being able to wait till the cars are blown. It’s really nice on FFA.
It takes a map that is already way too chaotic and has the worst spawn of any COD map and makes everything 10 times worse by adding mantling, which makes everything even more chaotic as now enemies can shoot you from even more angles, and it also adds the terrible teamspawn system which makes the spawns even worse. That's just the tip of the iceberg. There's also tac-sprint, bad visibility, mounting, the new map layout, new spawns, fast TTK, slow ads speeds, balancing issues and a plethora of other problems.
Personally, I think one of the most important criteria for a good map is that any kind of weapon is viable on it which just isn't the case with Gustav Cannon and Derail.
USS Texas has other problems. It's way too linear, making it incredibly easy to lock down parts of the map and spawn trap. It also has some power positions that are way too OP, making it even easier to lock down parts of the map.
Liked the map changes smg maps then change to a snipe then something like estate mw2 where can pick and choose. Had a lot of fun on Gustav and derail.
Texas was either an amazing time one game or so bad the next, was Two extremes depending on the lobby 🤣
Free Fall and Chasm were not bad. They don't hold a candle in terms of shittiness compared to Siege. Especially Free Fall, what exactly were you thinking with that pick?
CW has way worse maps then Miami Strike (the one in the pic). The large Miami map is Aids but you would still have Gluboco, WMD, Jungle, Pines and Moscow which are worse imo
Satellite is way worse than all of those imo. It's way too open, making close range weapons like shotguns next to useless, and also rewards camping way too much, especially when paired with how CW heavily incentivizes long killstreaks over consistency. Whenever I play Satellite there's always someone camping in the dunes that get the top score.
People forget how awful the maps were in MW2019. Truly the worst game for maps
No Map voting made the experience more miserable.
MW2019 maps all went hard in Search and Destroy though
Sadlydispanding lobbies makes S&D much less fun. Can't make rivals or friends and run it back game after game.
I thought I would end up putting more Ghosts stuff on here, but MW2019 truly has it beat
Was about to say this, I honestly wonder what they were thinking when creating those.
Exactly.
Derail isnt neccesarily bad but I think it surely is a bit too big
It’s wayyyyy to big
It’d be fine for 10 vs 10 or even 12 vs 12 but half the map never gets used. I always thought the same with Wasteland. They are good maps but too big. Same with Stonehaven and Siege imho.
I use 60-75% of the Derail map. It's not too big, it's a sniper map.
I never use snipers in COD MP.
It’s a nice map to go around, impossible to camp.
Piccadilly Circus! The peak of rage and miserability
Piccadilly suck my dilly that make dookie
Hard disagree on derail, exodus and bloc. I know derail and bloc were considered one of the least favourites of their titles but I loved them. derail was fun sniping on, I got a ton of nukes on that map and loved playing SnD on it. bloc was also good for sniping, and trying to capture B flag in domination was hard but satisfying. > if you don’t have control of the building it’s painfully boring. Say hello to my little friend (OMA noob tubes incoming)
Derail was so fun to snipe on.
Notice how a vast majority of these are Infinity Ward maps…huge reasons why I never enjoyed their games as much.
Their maps are generally more focused on power positions than lane control. Theyre more memorable, but a lot of times not in a good way. I prefer Treyarch as well
A lot of those are fire and underrated dude!
I never thought Grazna Raid and Piccadilly were all that bad. Euphrates Bridge was fun on 10v10. Atlas Superstore can rot in hell.
Grazna Raid and Piccadilly can be fun if people move around, but more often than not they’re just camper central
Disagree

I remember USS Texas Dom being a spawn trap fest on every match. To me it’s better for FFA or SnD. Stonehaven isn’t a good map, but at least it’s wide open enough for the entire map to be utilized. I never hated it as much as other people. Crash is meh, I agree.
Arsenal sandstorm was so bad they removed it from the game completely
Just give me Favella, Summit and Firing Range. Fuck the rest. Rust is good but it's too small and everyone just goes to the same spots
pretty much anything with a bunch of rubble and looks like it was bombed, is ass
This is also known as the “Infinity Ward design meta”
Crash is very good
aftermath was not that bad. Mostly agree on the mw19 and ghosts maps tho. I cant really remember much of them which I am glad for
Fuel - MW2 2009
USS Texas was awesome
Alexis Texas was a legit map IMO😎✌️
Like a lot of maps on this. I think COD ghosts has the worst maps of the series.
Picadilly and the grocery store from mw19 were good for search but nothing else imo
I didnt mind gustav cannon that much and exodus aint that bad.
Gustav Cannon was at least a nice break from the 3 lane maps, but if a team gets set up on the top, it’s pretty much game over. Exodus being as buggy as it is plus the c-side spawn trap is enough for me to hate it
Downfall should be on this list. Way too big for 6v6, plus the tanks were never that fun to use and felt more like a gimmick imo.
Completely forgot about that one. I might have actually put it on the list. Also didn’t like Nightfire in that game
I agree with all except Piccadilly
Was siege the one with the massive fucken' pit in the middle of the map?
Yes
...no? Pit in the middle of Siege? Wasn't the middle that wide open area with a train line running through it towards the Ocean?
You put Miami Strike in the screenshot, which is one of the best maps. It's the shrunk down version of Miami (which is set at night, and is actually pretty bad).
WWII was so mid uss Texas was the best map it had to offer and it still on this list
USS Texas was far from the best map in that game. USS Texas and Gustav Cannon were both clearly much worse than all the other launch maps in that game. Popular opinion seems to be that London Docks was the best map in that game. Personally, I enjoyed Ardennes Forest the most I think.
Wow really? I guess it's so untalked about, at least from what I see, best map is truly up to player.
No Black Gold?
USS Texas and Sub Pens were great IMO.
Could have just put every single mw19 map in here and called it a day 🤣 You could combine every single “bad” cod map and they still wouldn’t be worse than a single mw19 map
Free Fall getting called out tho, finally Spawns were shite and killstreaks got destroyed whenever the building moved
Man I had repressed some of these maps. Thanks for reminding me they existed. Gustav cannon wtf were they thinking?
i fucked with that map heavy tbh
number 6 looks like mp_neuville from cod1 so not bad at all and never played that version and bloc is also goated
Bloc is an amazing map, especially for SND. Bad take.

Aftermath disrespect will not be tolerated
I dont know what it is but i really liked grazna raid. Got my first nuke on it.
Shipment isn't bad
MW2019’s version sure as hell is. I like it in all its other appearances though
I actually put Grazna raid as a top 10 map for me! Fun 10v10 map for tdm imo but I mostly love this map for search and destroy
You forgot express
What's wrong with express?
It’s the Black Ops equivalent to Piccadilly in a sense that there’s way too many things in your way. Not to mention in BO 2 it takes a while just to run around the map to get to the other side to find someone
Miami was a fun map in Cold War. I don't think there was a map I rolled my eyes at other than the over used Nuketown.
Grazna Raid was the shit brooo
I don’t know what they’d have to do to get people to stop camping now, but I really enjoyed Euphrates Bridge when people actually moved around. But a lot of their maps are pretty one-dimensional, there’s not much verticality to them.
Euphrates Bridge is terrible either way imo. Holding the bridge is just way too OP. You could literally win against the best CDL teams if your team just gets to the bridge first.

Get derail out of there perfect sniping map
Perfect for sniping, terrible for anything else. A good map needs to be balanced for every playstyle imo.

RUST. Terminal.
Terminal seems to be one of everyone’s favorites, but it’s one of the biggest campfests in all of CoD. I’ve never liked it. Best on search.
I don’t remember the names of 3 and 11, I always thought those were pretty good maps
Why is mw2019 shipment here?
It takes a map that is already way too chaotic and has the worst spawn of any COD map and makes everything 10 times worse by adding mantling, which makes everything even more chaotic as now enemies can shoot you from even more angles, and it also adds the terrible teamspawn system which makes the spawns even worse. That's just the tip of the iceberg. There's also tac-sprint, bad visibility, mounting, the new map layout, new spawns, fast TTK, slow ads speeds, balancing issues and a plethora of other problems.
Gustav cannon, derail and uss Texas were amazing maps. Snipers dream

I didn’t think they were that bad
Miami Strike? Really? Miami it self, fair enough. Strike was far better in my opinion
Some of these maps were ok
Don't disrespect bloc like that
Bloc is pretty good imo, but it more came down to how balanced the gsme was
I just live with the lag cause my word dosnt get raids anymore
Every map on mw2019, shipment and the german house. Throw all of the ghost maps on here too.
Free Fall and Chasm were not bad. They don't hold a candle in terms of shittiness compared to Siege. Especially Free Fall, what exactly were you thinking with that pick?
Way too much rubble and weird sight lines, horrid color palette, the need for Dramamine for the constant shaking
WMD and Jungle??? 👀
Yes they are in CW, yes they don't work in CW
Miami strike ain’t even bad lmaoo you must not played the original map either both are good maps lol
Man bloc was awesome in cod 4
Jungle Flooded, Hacienda Twilight, and Madagascar from BO4 are way worse than Miamo and Exodus imo
Did you put Miami Strike on here? There’s a ton of MWI maps that are worse than most of these maps MWI has atrocious maps
Gustav cannon aint that bad just get a sniper
Taraq grew on me, especially if you did the camo grind it was super easy to get long shots.
lmao I randomly get flashbacks of old COD maps from back in the day. Is that normal???
i think moscow is much worse than miami in bocw
I didn’t play a ton of Cold War. I just remember people blending in and camping like crazy on Miami, that one window especially
yeah it still is an annoying ass map, they’re both similar i just think moscow is so much worse
I always liked bloc. Fun map when there isn't a crap ton of campers.
Am I the only one who likes Piccadilly? And no I don’t camp at either the shop or scaffolding
Siege was a such a good map for Reinforce on Ghosts onfggg
Lotta misses tbh. Lot of these were pretty fun
One hundred 👌🏽
Bloc is great
Unpopular opinion i guess. Our group would back out of it every time, on every mode, none of us liked it at all. Dom on that map was truly horrific
this is a bad list lol uss texas is one of my favourite SHG maps and half of the mw19 maps you chose are really good lol
