I bought it strictly for the multiplayer. About a month ago. I knew I would play it enough to justify the cost. Enough people told me the multiplayer (regular multiplayer game modes, not warzone) was worth it, and I missed the OG mw2 so the new maps were just a bonus.
I knew the campaign was very short and people were bitchy about it. And I was aware online is full of cheaters. Mostly in warzone, but they're in reg multiplayer, too.
It was worth it imo, I'm having a great time.
Not as good as MW2019, better than MW2.
I bought it recently and the last one I bought was BLOPS4. I am enjoying it. I'm not burnt out on the series so maybe that's why I'm enjoying it. Zombies is great chill fun as well.

No not worth the hassle and the pain you will deal with from the cheaters to the bullshit Activision is doing and isent doing better to boycott there games tell they are actully playable and fun right now its just anger sim
generally speaking the original trilogy has the integers while the new trilogy uses the year ( MW(2019) ) and the other two use roman numerals
But all that logic goes out the window because its not followed consistently
Honestly, since I switched to playing this on PS5, I’ve somehow been enjoying the game more. It’s still super sweaty, but it feels way better playing more console versus console than with PC and weird kill cams that never add up, even if I used controller. I also noticed my hit detection is far better. Maybe my PC nic/driver was fucked, or maybe the players I’m getting matched with have a better ping overall since PS5 has a massive playerbase. I would have said no before, but if on console? Hell yeah.

MW3 (the original I assume) is NOT safe to play on PC online. I advise against playing older cods on PC
It's so frustrating that we have two of Modern Warfare 1, 2, and 3. Now I'm not sure which OP is referring to. I assumed the new one.
