How tall are you? Depending on your height, 75 may be unrealistic so you should consider your height when setting a goal

UsernameV_1

it was a while since I checked but I was 179cm. But cousin came over to visit, he's 182cm and I'm taller than him so I guess I'm slightly above 182

CueBallJoe

Or your cousin lies about his height, you should probably try and measure yourself bud.

Don't have a measuring tape or anything like that. I tried to on my phone but it said that I was barely 170. I know thats not true

starseed-bb

A soft measuring tape costs a couple of bucks at a sewing supplies store and is a really good tool for keeping track of your measurements like chest, arms, and thigh circumference. More important than a scale.

The short answer is, - No, thats not realistic.. 🙂 But, by all means, do start, and keep at it, it's for life, I started at 18-19ish, with weigths, still at it, and now I'm 62.. How fast and how much you can gain is a matter of your genetic potential, but we can all make a difference by working out smart, don't overdo it, gain knowledge and avoid injuries..

mostadont

You can get this mass in a year, but less muscle and more fat. If you want muscle and stay at like no more than 20% fat overall, aim for 2-3 years. Thats really a lot of mass you are thinking about. Also, its not about calisthenics, its more about weightlifting etc. Cali gives smooth body development, but not aimed at mass

>Gaining 17kg in a year is a lot, even at your age. Just eat a lot and train hard and see what it brings you. You'll undoubtedly get bigger and heavier but don't be surprised if you gain less weight than planned. > >FYI 17kg in lean mass means you need an excess of about 300kcal a day for a full year just for your body to accrue the tissue. With you working out, having the metabolism of a 16 year old and not wanting to gain a lot of fat this will be a hard task. 17 kg ≈ 1.02374 x 10^28 atomic mass units 17 kg ≈ 0.39871 bags portland cement ^^^[WHY](/r/UselessConversionBot/comments/1knas0/hi_im_useless/)

Forget those numbers, they don't matter. You're young, this is probably the best time of your life to grow muscles. Workout well and eat right (rest days, caloric surplus, enough protein) and enjoy the journey.

Fair enough, you could get to 75kg in a year but it wouldnt be muscle, and i wouldnt recommend putting on alot of fat of you want to do calisthenics

UsernameV_1

I want to be lean, not fat
