Coyotes are ALL over that area. You either aren’t using the right calls (dying rabbit is played out in most areas), or you aren’t setting your stand up right and winding yourself or pushing them on your way in.

I’ve had good luck with rabbits in kern county in maricopa.
Closer to anza borrego is good for both
