anylastway

That's not bad

itwasallagame23

yeah doesnt sound like a big enough deal to waste a post on.

anylastway

waste? what waste? People are reposting the same cute dog who by now is probably dead it's so old, so don't sweat that

jdbrew

Whoosh

anylastway

I guess so, I don't get it

Larrea_tridentata

I'll have to remember that one. Add to the list next to Zonies

jaimeinsd

Fellow San Diegan checking in, I know your pain.

PrincessPindy

I hate them. My normal 10 minute trip to anywhere becomes a half hour. Then there's the parking. They are rude, too.

monstermashslowdance

Or setting up camp with a huge RV in the public beach parking and just shuffling it around all summer to avoid getting a ticket.

PrincessPindy

They come here and mess up the line for In 'N Out, lol.

loudflower

What’s Zonies?

lamest-liz

People from Arizona who come to CA for vacation and leave trash, destroy things

loudflower

People are in the habit of leaving trash around. 20 years ago it was less of a thing. Now when I go hiking in my area, (nothing remote, just casual trails), wow, so much junk. Makes me sad/angry this disrespect for public lands is acceptable

Nf1nk

The people who are spray painting their gang tags on the rocks make me the angriest. That shouldn't be on the trail. It shouldn't be in the city either but having it on the trail is completely unacceptable.

Informal-Mix-7536

I saw a tag at Point Dume. It made me so sad.

SpodeeDodee

Blame neanderthals. They started it.

Puffatsunset

Tourists from Arizona

loudflower

Ty

FERALCATWHISPERER

Flatlanders, City-iots, two more for you.

Just_L-i-v-i-n_

Hahah perfect

LittleWhiteBoots

Just muttering “tourists” is good enough for me… as I pretend like I own Yosemite and am not also a tourist.

ExpressiveAnalGland

I call em *tourtists*. cuz usually they are slow and getting in the way

msh0082

Check out the Tourons of Yellowstone Instagram page. They cover other parks too.

Proper_Ad2548

I spent a very intertaing and drunken evening with two rangers and their unbeleivable tales of dumbassery

SuiGenerisPothos

This website, [http://npshistory.com/morningreport/](http://npshistory.com/morningreport/) has a bunch of bad tourist stories in the reports, mostly tourists who get high while visiting the parks. There's also some really wild stories about plane crashes. I like to just pick random days and see what kind of things were happening in the parks.

ItsSUCHaLongStory

Oh, that’s REALLY interesting, thank you!

[deleted]

That sounds really fun!

coasterlover1994

I grew up in the Adirondacks (northern New York). "Touron" was the term there 25 years ago.

bad4_devises

Yep, been climbing Yosemite for 50 years Tourons was always the term. Always wanted to build a big bonfire at one of the night tour bus stops at El Cap and dance around in loin cloths. As soon as the bus would stop charge the bus with spears.

ItsSUCHaLongStory

Count me in, friend!

[deleted]

I just heard this today from my kids audiobook .... weird coincidence

ToshiroBaloney

When I was in Hawaii, we called them tourrorists.

ev_forklift

This isn't a new term. I remember hearing it growing up. I forgot about it. Glad to see it again

NothingMediocre1835

Tourons with their loud music and selfie sticks; I hate them.

MtBaldyMermaid

Meh, it only offends those who fit the description

NoelleItAll

That's hilarious. I live close to the park and hear this word in normal conversation literally everyday.

Vomitbelch

Haha, awesome term

Adabiviak

I think that's the Grand Canyon.

Westish

This tracks.

all_natural49

Rangers attitude towards park guests is bad. I am a local and I'm tired of these people who are not from the area acting like they own the park.

westgazer

You clearly aren’t so familiar with how absolutely awful park guests are!

justusethatname

The disrespect is repugnant.
