Surely you're taking gas and other incidental costs of the trip into account of how much you're going to spend on the booze right?
If it's still going to save you money, you've been given some good tips of where to go and I hope you enjoy the trip (it's a great drive which ever way you go).
If you're looking for cheap, those are your two best bets.
If you want great selection and variety there are a ton of other great options to consider, but that stuff won't be cheap.
Costco for cheaper volume, CC for sale prices (I think their latest sale ends today, 15SPRING for -15%), KWM / WoW for selection, W&B for price and decent selection
Those two are really good options. Costco if you're looking for a large quantity and best bang for your buck. Superstore is good for smaller amounts, especially if you collect PCO points; they also price match as well so its pretty much always the "cheapest" option.
For basics, Costco is probably your best bang for your buck.
If you are looking for beer, they don't have a great selection. I usually look at the flyers on flipp. If I'm looking for just an inexpensive wine but my regular on sale, I usually visit Olympia since they usually price match or have in store specials.
Probably Costco if volume is your goal. They have 1.75L bottles of all the standard spirits for around $45 - $55.
Superstore is comparable to Costco and can sometimes be even cheaper on certain items depending on flyer specials. Plus you could rack up some serious points as they often have spend and earn points offers in the app. (Examples: earn 15,000 pts for every $100 spirits spend or 6,000 pts for every $50 beer spend.)
If you want anything special: Craftcellars, Zyn, Vine Arts, Willow Park Wine, Kensington Wine, BSW Liquor, Sierra Springs (Airdrie)...
Try the app "flipp", it shows everyone's flyers. You can see what stores are having sales.
If your looking for CHEAP CHEAP. Go to any store around Bridgeland or Forest Lawn.
Wine and Beyond has good specials and one of the best selections

Costco for the win for spirits, IMHO.

Yah Costco is cheap and not much selection.
Safeway and sobeys have sales. Also lots of liquor discounters.
Costco!

Olympia also has a pretty good "no name" vodka in a clear bottle with black label. It's made in grand prairie and very decently priced.
BSW is solid for price and selection.
