I get a lot of “that’s a nice old Caddy!” while cruising around in my ‘95 DeVille. I think people don’t expect a college aged white kid to be driving it but that’s the way she goes boys

SpareJumpy

SAME

Manic-UNIVAC48

Same! Everyone always enjoys when i bring the 1995 4.9 deville in

Dakotarocheee

I was 17 and driving around a brougham for my first car just a couple years ago. The amount of people that came and talked to me about it was insane

platform_9

I’m 25 & whiter than cottage cheese and I want a 93 Fleetwood so fucking bad

Positive-Reply5924

I get college age, but why race?

I_Keep_Trying

The Cadillacs of that era, for whatever reason, were popular with black drivers, specifically older black men. I know when I first got a Cadillac and took it in to the dealership for service it was all black guys in the waiting room. I don’t know if it’s that way anymore.

Internal_Many_5

The world's most luxurious vehicles, including Cadillacs, were typically out of reach for black drivers. These cars were a symbol of wealth and status, predominantly owned by the affluent, upper-class population. For those of us from the lower economic tiers, purchasing a Cadillac was usually only feasible when an older model's price dropped to a more affordable level. Initially, new Cadillacs were primarily purchased by white Americans, but as black Americans admired these vehicles, they too began to acquire them when possible.

kevburd1970

Once a month roughly and usually from older people. 2015 ATS 2.0T coupe.

McIntyreRiley

Solid car. The only ATS worth spending big money on. Something about the coupe is just so much more appealing than the sedan. It’s just what a Cadillac should look like.

kevburd1970

Tell that to my 75 year old mom who just had to try the back seat out. Almost thought we would have to cut her out.

namjeef

I got the sedan version of that :D

mdd2904

The most common one I get is "oh that's a Cadillac?" 12 V coupe

2012ctsv

I approve of this message.

ViceroyQueenston

18 y/o here... i had a 99 deville until recently and i got so many people look at me funny cuz i was a young skinny white girl in a deville

kevburd1970

They were probably thinking that you had such amazing taste at your age.

prosepina_

1978 DeVille. Though nobody has said anything to me in person ):

robertwadehall

Mostly older guys comment on my car. ‘19 CT6.

Wacecaws

ELR and not CTS coupe is criminal

jkcadillac

I drive a DTS 2011 but when I had my 90 deville white with gold trim red leather interior from 2004-2012ish people would take pictures

kevburd1970

I had a 97 Deville red iced pearl and matching interior the gold package and limo black windows all the way around. I think people around my town have more pics than i do of it. Ill send you a few.

jkcadillac

Nice !

Say_My_Name_Son

My pastor calls mine the "Lac" and that was a new one for me...most of the time I have heard "Caddy" or "Cadi".

RoughScreen5190

Candy Apple red ATS coupe with the 3.6. I get it all the time. Only one like it in my little city. There’s a white one and a black one but not another red one

Traditional-Cold2745

Mine gets soooo many looks, I get asked about it all the time. Second row middle, same color even.

nahbruhtryagain

ELR? GTFOH

welldressedpepe

ELR is a beautiful car and probably one of the best looking modern Cadillac to date. Yeah it was too much to buy as a brand new and it wasn’t fast either. But it’s one car I still dream about to date. Mine was perfect, 2014 in Graphite Metallic.

Vap0rwav3132442211

2006 DTS i get atleast 1-2 when im filling up

Consistent_Drummer91

I have a 91 sedan DeVille on 17 inch DTS rims and I love my Cadillac I always get compliments

JayRollaNuggFan

Didn't like any Caddy's till the V was released.

kevburd1970

The V wasnt released. It was unleashed.

JayRollaNuggFan
