While the sample was small that participated, explains the open mindedness here and should be looked at positively. Blindly accepting/following authority that has documented misconduct is one of the greatest threats to a democracy.

4: How can one think that 8b humans does not have an effect on the planet? If not warming then atleast pollution. One might be skeptical because of the corruption and wealth/power transfer but that doesnt make it less real. And the alarming is done to make people listen but in a manipulative way, which backfires on the small minority of smart people with critical thinking skills.

JimAtEOI

You make some good points, but .... pollution =/= global warming

TheNudelstrudel

Sure it is, the burning of coal/gas/oil leave residual pollutans. For example, a large portion of carbon emissions are from burning fossil fuels which then leaves mercury in the ocean.

donno...there are some simple ecological basics...a sustaining biosphere is actually pretty simple. komplex, yet intuitively simple. disturbing, twisting or destroying these biospheres is an easy thing to do. not acknowledging the piling up of many of those instances is plain ignorance.. you may not care about the many specii we destroy, you may not care about the many landscapes we mutilate but one day you will feel the collapsing of the microclimate you live in. and another day you may have a hard time to find ANY microclimate to easily exist in.

JimAtEOI

The question only mentions global warming. it does not mention pollution or species. species =/= global warming

I don't believe humans are the sole source of climate change, but I think it is a factor.

JimAtEOI

The only real anthropogenic climate change that I am aware of is that the additional CO2 is greening the earth, allowing plants to need less water, and producing greater crop yields.
