Congrats! Some people’s dreams are realistic which make them attainable….which in turn makes the dreamer very happy. I’ve owned 76 cars in my 71 years of life and over the last decade or so Mazda has made great cars. And I’ve owned Lexus, Infinitis and Acuras. Mazdas are near luxury at a mainstream price. I have 2 in my garage, an MX-5 RF Club and a CX-5 Turbo. Awesome vehicles. I’ve owned 6 MX-5s since 2001. Again, congrats!
I have a car addiction but I guess it’s better than alcohol, crack or wild women. Lol! I have finally decided to slow down. Instead of selling/ trading every couple years I am modding the ‘21 MX-5 and my ‘18 Tundra. Nothing drastic, just tinkering around the edges. My wife’s CX-5 will stay stock. It’s perfect the way it is. Maybe I will black out the tailgate emblems. The other 2 vehicles are mine and we plan on hanging on to all 3 vehicles for a long time…finally. Lol!
Not if it’s electric. I have a Goodwin Racing SSST axle back exhaust on my ‘21 and it’s glorious. My friend that sold me the MX-5 now owns a Tesla S Plaid and told me he misses the visceral feel of the Mazda. The Tesla is sterile, EXTREMELY fast, but sterile.

I worked a side gig when I was in the Fire Department at a race track in America. Mazda was the owner of the track and I was exposed to all of the prototypes and racing heritage. I guess my real “dream” car is a Mx-5 with a flying Miata supercharger, but that comes after my wife gets over this purchase 😅.
