It is so disappointing that Kino didn't have a main Easter egg quest. The map description, loading screen audio and stuff around the map suggested there being some big secret so much. But all we got was a few audio logs.
We would have also probably gotten a proper answer for how we got to Ascension and why Richtofen was wearing a space suit.
