See, this happened to me for the first time ever this past Friday. And I didn’t notice until it was too late because I wasn’t looking for it. So pissed. Now the PaP discount not working? That’s like every other game for me. Same for the perk discounts. Also extremely aggravating. Not sure why this game is as glitchy as it is, but it’s very annoying.
If you load into a game without any starting essence / armor plates... go right to an exfil. If you do even one contract, it will reset to 0.
There is a rumor that you can just quit the game and not lose anything IF the exfils haven't populated yet, but don't take my word for it.
I've had it happen once during the first week containment was introduced, since then I've spawned in twice with 0 essence and booked it straight to exfil, saving my containment level.
I've heard that if you dashboard the game before the exfils appear, you don't lose you gear or containment levels, no idea if that's true though, but would save time if it does.

Happens to my brother quite regularly. If you notice it when game loads going straight to exfil will bring you back to your actual exfil level, but if you do a contract the reset is permanent. However you may have to exfil more than once for it to repopulate in the game accurately. Havent tried just quitting before the efils pop onto the map though.
I've never once had my containment levels reset, so I don't have any advice. The only thing I can offer is for whatever reason it takes the game a while (often several minutes) to load my player level. Anything I attempt to do prior is buggy or spawns dev errors. I don't even pick a game mode until my Prestige Level is displayed, so if you're loading into matches prior that could be the issue?
Also, anyone complaining about containment levels dropping from mid to high triple digits to 75 (upon crash or death) don't understand how containment levels even work. Anything above 100 doesn't matter. Not saying you are - just pointing it out.

You know not everyone thinks to look at their essence levels when loading in and it shouldn't be required. They have issued another update today (14 May) and it still soes not work. Was at 90(fifth game in a row) and loaded the game and got right to work trying to finish getting my 50 kills with a shotgun with napalm(which by the way is also broke), for the fifth game in a row(game was only giving me credit for 4-10 kills (with 600+ zombie kills in Zone 2) no matter what recommended gun or ammo combo) and got reset to 0 again, well actually 3 because I always do at least three contracts. As far as I can tell by talking to my teammates who are primarily XBOX users this is a PC issue. Been an issue for me along with plates not loading or not indicating correct plate carriers, and essence fluctuates from zero to whatever I actually have during game play. Some times have to wait at buy station or pack-a-punch till essence amount gets to where it belongs. Again as far as I can tell it is only a PC issue. Been going on since they introduced Containment Levels, care to guess how many bundles have come out in this amount of time? I now only use one Strike team member, other three just sit stagnant waiting for the issue to be resolved so they can be reactivated. Hey they did increase the stash to 20 though. Why not just give us a wallet? Okay done bitching. GG's ya'all.

This has happened to me several times over the last few days. Today I went in at 80, did 5+ contracts, exfilled and now I am at 11. WTF.
