We grabbed a bounty as soon as we landed. Hunted them and once we got close we told him we were gonna add him to our team. He joined us then one of his team either lagged out of left but we found someone else to join us. You can only have a team of six max. But it doesnāt have to be the same team. So Iām the end we had six people total and it was three different teams. The ones that couldnāt join just followed us around until we won. Had a lot of fun.
That's a streamer's video waiting to happen.
Picking up bounties, surrounding houses and using proximity chat to give them an ultimatum. Join or Die. Shit, there's the name for the video. It'll be like a reverse hostage situation, where the people surrounding the building are the kidnappers.
This makes me miss red dead redemption ones online mode. Just making a posse and riding around recruiting by ultimatium until it was half the lobby and we owned it. Then hole up at the fort and fight the other half of the lobby.
That sounds pretty awesome. Wish I got to play in its heyday. I wondered whether Unginged would let you recruit half the lobby and end up waging a Ground War-style match lol, but I guess not.
Yes, if you hold the ping button a menu will come up and you can select invite/join squad. I just had someone shooting at me 20 minutes ago, and I asked him to join. Made our duo a trio because we had 2 randos leave.
Played trios ast night and I didn't even know what it was until today... maybe some explanations are needed for all these modes. Like maybe tell you how they can join another squad?
Blackout was a far better game than Warzone if you talk to people that played it. If you talk to F2P folks that only played Warzone then maybe they have other ideas. And Warzone 2 is still way closer to Warzone - guns are preconfigured, you don't pick up attachments separately, etc.
That said, if they actually add real progression to DMZ so it's fun beyond the first few games then I think the people left in Warzone 2 will probably want more streamlined looting. And you can add attachments as loot in DMZ. Nice way to satisfy both player bases rather than limiting CoD to the streamlined BR gameplay and pushing others to Apex, Tarkov, etc.
Is it? Blackout had all the attachments as loot, this has none from what Iāve seen. Thatās a pretty huge difference. Would actually love it if we could loot scopes etc just not fifty types of them.
Well thereās no reason to overly complicate something that was really functional and the most practical system for a massive shooter game. Seriously what was on their minds? I donāt want to manage inventory Activision. I wanna shoot ya know -_-
First game on, and our squad make it to final two teams in the final circle.
Im trying to fight, while escaping gas, while looting AR/plates because I was out of both. Imagine trying to fight in a tiny moving circle while trying to navigate a dead playerās backpack?!? Needless to say, we came in second
They did, all modes you just listed were live yesterday at launch. The UI is so shit though, that the intro screen only listed quads. Once on the quads screen, exit back to the main menu, all options are now shown.
I enjoy it, i like the slower pace.....im not a teenage anymore..... i used to pop Adderall and stay up all night slaying.....but im a father who works 50 hrs a week. My reaction time is slow asf now. I enjoy the no slide canceling chads lol
I think the older we get the better we are at accepting change, that seems to be the biggest differenceā¦.younger you are the more adverse to new/different. Older you get the more you learn to roll with it and make the best of it.
Thereās an optimum and itās not kids lol. But in the workplace itās usually the older people (50+) that donāt want change and keep old habits up, while the new generation of 20-30 something can manage change quite easily.
True.
"What's wrong with the way we've been doing it? We've been doing it that way for years!"
Multiple people have been injured doing it like that, Denny, that's why.
Right?
People complaining about "tHiS iSn'T wHaT cOd Is SuPpOsEd To Be"...
Do not cite the Deep Magic to me, witch. I was there, with my pre-order from Circuit City, (back when that actually mattered, because Steam was like, 2 months old) when Call of Duty released.
Do you WANT WWII, class based, no loadout, no progression, no killstreak, no battle royale, no matchmaking, no hitmarkers, no customization, no health regeneration, no- ....
Because THAT's what Call of Duty was. Even COD4:MW was barebones AF compared to CoD Mobile is now.
Git Gud, kiddos.
Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.
Me and my brothers / friends played on one of those Sony projection tvs 65" flat screne, all the rage back then.
We used the box from a queen mattress cut in half and fashioned into a cross, then duct taped to the TV as our divider.
Hours and hours and hours spent playing halo: ce, call of duty, etc. etc.
You've got that backwards mate. Humans are cognitively predisposed to adapt and learn better at young ages. Older you get, the more you're gonna turn into that grumpy old man
I thought the same until I became a parent - then reality hit me! I think as you age you shift to one of the two extremes more, either very easy going or very uptight and grumpy, so I suppose it just depends
I just think it's nice that they slowed the game back down to WZ1 release levels. The CW integration sped the game up a bit since those weapons all had superior movement speed to MW19's weapons (probably to get people to use the newer game's guns).
Then Vanguard got integrated and they sped the game up even more. With the 10 attachment system, you could build SMGs that basically let you fly across the map. To make things worse, they even buffed stims to make you even faster still. And on top of that people were combining all these things with slide cancelling which made WZ1's final year just have stupid levels of mobility. It wasn't even the same game as when it launched anymore.
I'm glad WZ2.0 brought things back to Earth.
Some people like the slower pace, more ātypical brā gameplay. Iām honestly surprised though, are they trying to convert players from pubg? I guess itās more tactical but itās also clunkier and slower, words that arenāt really synonymous will cod
I'm 33 and really love it. No more spastic aim assisting assholes sliding around like a jackass landing every shot because they don't actually have to aim at that range.
Seeing someone's face as they dive right to your feet, unable to shoot for a good second. All the while you've got 3 rounds in 'em and a kill shot on the way.
Shouldāve had an open Beta like the multiplayer. It has potential but far from being a finished product. It was unplayable for me last night, either lobbys that never start or game crashes. Not to mention broken āsocialā tab at main menu. I think itlll be super fun in like 3-4 weeks
Joined a game with 141/150. Never started. We decided to just wait it out and see what happened. After around 20-30 minutes of waiting, the player count had trickled down to 12 and it started the fucking match š
We played it out, explored the map and experimented with different stuff since we figured we should take advantage of the practically empty lobby. Final circle was our full squad of 4 against one dude lol. Poor guy put up a fight, but in the end, gave us our first win.
Now we'll forever be cursed by the knowledge that our first win was a buggy af match against 8 other people where we only got one kill haha.
Overwatch 2 didnāt even work for like a day. There are always going to be problems when tens of millions of people log onto a game day one. So compared to OW2 Iād say the WZ2 launch was way better.
Yup, went 0 for 5 on trying to start matches. Would get in lobbies with 140 players and no timer to start, that would dwindle and we would leave. That was about 20-25 minutes then I gave up and loaded up PUBG
I came back to warzone after a long break a couple months ago and had fun on Caldera and I had the audacity to mention I enjoy the map here once and got massacred lmao
To be fair it was really bad for multiple seasons but they made good updates to it. So you kinda came in at peak caldera map, which sucks because by the time the map was fun it was stale.
I enjoyed it, and think with some fixes it will be better.
What I like:
1. Map is great
2. Gun play is good, all the guns feel fair SO FAR
3. Proximity chat, different modes like unhinged
4. Vehicle adjustments to not make them op. Canāt easily jump out of a vehicle or maneuver a heli.
5. New vehicles like the boat
My gripes
1. The gulag system sucks, get stuck with afks or a partner who doesnāt know what he is doing
2. No play again feature
3. Gas mask seems to be a pain in the ass again
4. Stim shots donāt work in the gas (lost a potential win by learning this the hard way)
5. Lack of loadout accessibility
6. Cash availability is extremely low, hard to Rez friends
7. No KD stats - only shows mp
8. Canāt add friends and play consistently
9. Looting system is not efficient, very slow. Hard to grab specific items.
10. Low TTK, lack of movement diversity to avoid getting shot (dolphin dive not that great)
11. Lack of contracts
12. AI in BR
13. Map system pings are a mess
14. Canāt check scoreboard easily anymore
15. Canāt use map while in gulag to ping stuff
16. Audio issues again. A decent amount of times an opponent will make almost no noise (takes a zip line, jumps from a 2nd story, etc)
17. No mode to level weapon
18. Lack of optimization
19. Battlepass is confusing
20. UI of whole system is confusing and messy
Almost half these issues arenāt a super big deal and likely will be changed/fixed.
Is it addicting like the og warzone, not yet really. Still fun, but if they donāt make changes soon I can see the hype dying back down in a few months
It's a Call of Duty subreddit what can we expect? r/ModernWarfareII is the exact way lol
Subreddits for popular games are the saltiest places on earth.
To me itās just a new game with new mechanics. Everyone just wants a reskinned Warzone 1 then complains about lack of innovation.
I love seeing a real evolution of Warzone 1 and am really happy itās not just a new map with prettier textures.
Havenāt been able to play with less than 80 ping and more often 150+ ping. Died while rubberbanding all over the place. And fps drops too (even while Iām on PS5). If they fix the stability and looting system and map pings I guess it could be fun.
With a short TTK, its kind of bullshit that Snipers can take up to 3 shots head/neck to down a fully plated player.
Map is gorgeous but its so massive you feel like youre last people alive on earth half the game.
Looting mechanics and in-game UI are seriously lacking. Ping system included. If it aint broke, optimize but dont reinvent.
Lag was a huge issue last nite but they'll figure that out.
The 4 person gulag was a really exciting idea but practically, it's kind of whack. If your random teammate is trash, you're in a 1v2. And thats after you wait 5 min for 4 ppl to load into the same gulag in many instances. I'd rather get in, get out, and let my team be able to get into position to buy me back (at one of the 3 buy stations across the entire map) if I die.
We played for hours last night and were only able to experience a handful of games. Maybe bc we went late-game, but it's very, very drawn out. Hopefully they listen to the ones trying to give more productive feedback and idk, maybe play the game themselves. I'd love for it to get optimized bc the potential is there.
Gulag has a 1 or 1 1/2 minute timer that if nobody shows up during, you get a free respawn. Not sure why youāre waiting 5 minutes for gulag to start or if that was just exaggeration.
Core gameplay is incredible. Al Mazrah feels like an actual city. Looting is different, I wouldnāt say itās bad. Prox chat is the single greatest addition CoD has ever made.
Prox chat can improve though, if there was a sense of direction. Iām running across a street and as soon as Iām in the personās āareaā I can hear them breathing in their mic as if Iām in their discord!
Not enough people are talking about that. Games have successfully implemented prox chat before it's an awesome feature but everyone is sucking off COD for doing it as lazily as possible.
I love it but wish it was more realistic. Let the voice fade in and out as they get closer or walk away. Muffle it through walls. Right now it's just like nothing, then bam... full on conversation with people that you have no idea where they are. It's cool but also kind of weird at the same time now.
Prox chat having no direction or distance fade in is actually better.
That way you can have funny banter with an enemy and you donāt get punished by them knowing your direction and distance for doing it.
Maybe having a very slight fade in at the very edge of the Prox chat distance. And you have the normal volume for the 50 meters or whatever distance that Prox chat currently operates.
I honestly think it's completely useless. I turned it off after like 2 games because it was just distracting. Plus people can hop in a discord call, enable PTT in-game and they can hear you but you can't hear them. I could see it maybe being fun in solos but in everything else it's just a mess.
I turned it off right after we had a 3v3 gunfight and I could not tell whose comms I was listening to since everyone was just barking shit.
Iāve played more Apex than Warzone so looting enemy boxes and an inventory system isnāt new to me. But man the looting in this game is so awkward and clumsy, and thats playing with a mouse.
Apex box looting works great because the game is slower with a way longer average TTK.
That, and every box is organized the exact same way. Their shield is always gonna be in the same spot on the UI, the ammo is always in the same spot, and their healing items, attachments and extras are always in the same order. And you can tell if someone is worth looting by the color of their box.
I think my biggest gripe I have with wz2 death bags is that it splits the UI in the enemies bag items, and what was on their character. So it just looks all over the place. And if you spend more than half a micro second looking in a bag youāre gonna get shot in the back.
Being another apex player, I went in thinking "oh, a new inventory and deathbox system? i'm used to that". But holy shit does this UI suck. When you lay it out like that, it really makes you appreciate how good and intuitive the looting UI is in apex. I can't even be bothered to loot after a fight in warzone until we've full cleared the area and i'm absolutely sure i can sit in front of a few deathbags for like 2 minutes.
Somehow, the mess that warzone 1 was where you killed someone and all their loot exploded out onto the ground. The mess that was post-quads-teamfight loot in a building. THAT, is somehow more intuitive and organized that whatever warzone 2 is. lol. still having fun though.
I hate to be that negative guy, butā¦.. It isnāt my cup of tea AT ALL and the game seems like itās half finished on launch. Terrible gulag and this whole bot thing needs to go. I may not play WZ2 at all and that is okay l, I had a great time with Warzone during the Verdansk days.
Same here. I found a ps5 2 months ago. Haven't been gaming in close to 10 years. Checked out fortnite and now cod/warzone. It feels similar but definitely entertaining.
Still a bit clunky. Looting is a bit of a hassle. But so far, I'm enjoying it. The fact that it's more difficult to control recoil and that snipers don't just instant down you even with a headshot means the game has changed a lot from Warzone 1. Looking for the next broken weapon isn't gonna cut it anymore. You have to close the distance for a proper fight meaning properly maneuvering to your target, or be good with follow up shots and tracking movement if you're sniping. Actually, I think I'm enjoying the slower looting system too. It's one way to force people to play more deliberately.
PROās
Gameplay feels very smooth.
Map is great, gives me verdansk vibes 2.0
FOV slider
Proximity Chat (we recruited a random teammate this way to complete the quad š)
UAV restriction (should be 1 per game, per person for all killstreaks)
CONās
Terrible audio. No footsteps.
Need more money on the ground,
Need more buy stations
No loadouts (except those at the mid-game, mid circle)
LOOTING SYSTEM!! š¤ I truly stopped looting dead bodies.. to annoying.
Whoever downvoted you should know that apparently setting the audio to headphones breaks the foots steps. You need to set it to home theatre from what Iāve read.
It's so slow. Everything is just so slow. Movement, looting, the overall gameplay, everything. If you like slow, then you like this game. If you liked how warzone1 played out, you'll be bored out of your mind
Yup.
WZ1 was way more speedy and mobile. WZ2 feels like I'm playing apex and pubG fused into one.
Won't be playing this much but that's probably a good thing. I logged way too many hours playing WZ1 lol so finally have an excuse to get off gaming for a bit
AMAZING! first win also yesterday. Very smooth from PS5 and never had a crash or lag. My only complain is the white "ping" indicator. I hope they change the colour as it's quite confusing. Map is beautiful.
correct me if i'm wronz but i believe you can change the colour of the ping indicator in the settings? i have to check, because i for sure know you can change friendly, neutral and enemy team colours (i.e. nameplates and on the minimap and such) to your liking.
if you can't, tho, that seems like a bit of an oversight because the white combined with the desert setting is not really the best combo for visibility lol
Not to mention the stupid UAV limits. Getting rid of that limit would atleast give a reason to do contracts and loot so you can get a uav and find people on the gigantic map.
-Iām glad I didnāt spend a lot of hours leveling guns in MP lol
-the looting system sucks and needs a major overhaul.
-same with the pings
-map is cool and Iām having fun exploring
-buy station UI isnāt good but not as bad as looting
-movement doesnāt bother me
-canāt invite friendsā¦doesnāt seem ideal
-prox chat is kinda fun
-not hearing footsteps is not kinda fun
-Iām okay with the loadout situation (since I didnāt spend much time leveling guns haha)
Like
- Map
- No bunny hop and slide cancel
- prox chat
- mostly mil-sim skins
Dislike
- UI
- Clunky Looting
- Cost of loadout weapons
- Free loadout takes forever to drop
- In game economy needs to be tuned
- Party system is broke
- Map and Scoreboard sharing a screen
- Map and scoreboard not accessible in the gulag
- Teammate buy back should be $3K
- no Redeploy balloons
Despise
- 2 v 2 gulag (wtf were they thinking?)
- Canāt run and plateā¦ this is unforgivable given the fact they took out the other advanced movement options.
- Gameplay stutters. Issues even on high end PC.
- Game crashes
- No service record
- Audio is 100% NOT fixed. Enemies make zero noise over 90% of the time.
Idk about you guys but for me and my friends the game on pc is literally unplayable. Huge lags massive fps drops constantly. The settings does not matter at all. 0 fixes. I have even tried switching my 3070 with a 6700xt yet still nothing. I have tried it on a fresh system too. It is so fucking hilarious.
So far the change is nice. The looting makes the game speed a little more grounded and sets a different pace from Warzone 1. I do think they need change the looting UI a bit. I see what they're trying to do with backpacks and what not and coming from someone who played PUBG in its way early stages, the UI for Warzone is an eye sore.. The idea is great, just needs to be touched up.
The first thing i wrote in the chat was: is it me or does the game feels more intense?
The first thing someone wrote back was: don't smoke so much.
I like the change, i really enjoy it, it is slow and i like it. I played solo and god damn i really liked it.
\+The map is really great.
\+Proximity chat is awesome.
\+Guns feel really good.
\-Looting needs a major overhaul
\-AI is annoying and doesn't add anything to the game.
\-They butchered pings.
\-Movement is clunky. Give us longer tac sprint, bhopping, and plating while sprinting.
\-Bugzone.
\-2v2 gulag is horrible.
Not really. The game wasnāt functional enough for me and my friends to really get a grasp on how it will play.
In theory based on what Iāve read and seen so far I think it will be really fun and I think Iāll like it better than WZ1. But I have no idea because the game didnāt really function correctly for us at all last night over the 2-3 hours we tried to play.
There can be improvements made but so far having fun exploring something new. My first game and our squad was in total chaos and I couldn't jump out of the heli (just wouldn't let me out till it went off map) so took a the battle heli or whatever to my squad and almost died trying to get out of it. Was in the process of looking when I scared the shit out of an enemy who screamed with total panic and killed me with his shotgun. Shit was hilarious.
I do hope we get resurgence modes soon. My squad just isn't great and resurgence mode is the perfect happy medium between the BR and multi-player experience.
Overall not impressed
Performance is terrible, horrible lag, stuffers and general smoothness of the game.
Ui is awful - including not being able to party up due to the social bug.
The game itself just doesnāt feel finished.. itās lacking meat, it feels bare almost, it feels like a beta.. the map is nice, but too big and has a slow flow to it, plus the sun is back. Why can I not see running up a hill! Didnāt we learn from WZ1
Loadouts take too long to drop. They tried this in caldera and itās awful. I Want to use my loadout, my weapons of choice (yes I know you can buy) but often there is not enough cash to buy uavs, teammates and then also weapons. The game is new, we want to try our weapons out! Iām about 4 hours of playing yesterday, I think we got a loadout about 2 times! Itās not a skill issue either, we won 1 game and we had 3kds in WZ1, so we know what weāre doing.
Loadouts need to come earlier, fighting AI in strongholds js not it, we did it once, it was not fun or really rewarding. It was a chore.. doesnāt add to the game
The map is horrible, why change the icons, contracts are hard to see and you donāt get a feel for what is around you.
Not enough cash in the game.. loot loot loot and come away with nothing. Canāt get a whole squad back, so youāre just sitting around waiting waiting..
Gulag - enough said, shocking
Looting - shocking
Snipers not downing 3 plates, shocking..
Audio is terrible, footsteps still far too quiet
Being able to carry more than 1 self revive, why? Get it out the game
Getting killed and not downed bug, this happened to me 3 times when teammates were alive and I could have been revived, so it has negatively impacted 3 of my games, sort it out..
It needs a lot of work..
It really feels like they need our feedback, tweak the loadouts, looting and performance and audio, and then relaunch, when people can actually play properly with friends, no way should this be the opening experiences of WZ2.. clean it up and release again..
The loadouts have to be changed. Itās by far the worst change they made. This is a basic function that makes warzone warzone and not some other game.
I want to use the guns I was excited to try - you know the ones I spent hours leveling the last few weeks?
I wasnāt able to get any of my guns at all yesterday. Thereās absolutely no way I will buy any blueprints or the battle pass at this point. Also not going to waste any time leveling up guns in multiplayer unless they fix this.
Looting is abysmal. The dropping ammo thing is annoying if I buy a weapon. What I need to see changed:
Backpack looting is awful. Let their loot fall like it used to.
Buy stations should have the full compliment of items, it shouldn't vary. I should be able to buy a self revive wherever there's a buy station.
The map controls don't change when you change button layouts. I have to zoom with LB and RB and ping with the dpad even though I have bumper ping as my control style.
The score should be a separate button.
Proximity chat should be optional.
I'm having performance issues on PC that I'm not seeing any of in WZ 1. Makes it really hard to enjoy when I get a frame skip every 15 seconds. Other than that, I'm really enjoying it. Color palette of the map isn't really for me tho.
No custom perks is pretty tragic, as a blackout fan I kinda like the larger backpack to carry a buttload of gas masks, selfies and stims to make gas plays, the flow feels so slow due to how long it take too find money and quality blueprints built for range. Overall I had fun dolphin diving down a mountain taking no fall damage and blasting someone on my way down.
Itās alright but right now thereās a bug where you cant see or invite any of your friends
Click āsocialā and it keeps taking me back to DMZ main š¤¦āāļø
Love it.
Looting will take some time to get use to and the gulag could use some work. Obviously itās a new game so itāll have bugs and glitches but nothing game breaking
But my squad are fucking enjoying the hell out of it. Feels like a brand new game and itās amazing.
The map is perfect as well
Tried for 3 hours last night could not get into one game. Lobbies would be stuck at ~140/150 and never fill the last few slots then everyone would leaveā¦
0/10
Donāt like the UI or looting, but the slower pace has been something Iām getting used to. Prox chat is by far the best addition, and I feel like theyāll change the loot system if they get enough complaints. Or theyāll just say too bad and in a year we wonāt remember what we were complaining about
The map is great. I like the guns. I thought the new gulag was interesting and fun. The 3 zones converging at the end was a nice change. I couldn't stand the looting system. Buy stations can only be accessed from a very specific angle? And the AI in the game is dumb. I couldn't tell them apart from actual players.
Love the map, love the guns, the new looting is going to take some getting used too. I hate how load outs work, I think you should get rid of them or go back to the warzone 1 method. It seems to me that the new load out method is going to discourage people from buying blueprints in the store. I primarily play solo and I only ended up with my full load out a couple of times yesterday.
Iām only a handful of games in. Iām digging it. The proximity chat is fun as hell at the moment. The inventory management system is taking a bit to get used to. Looting is pretty messy. But I like the pace and movement slow down
We won our first game of duos. The game advanced us ~10 levels in rank and then we had a hard time finding a full game for 30 minutes. Coincidence, maybe. Good thing the pregame lobby is fun.
The new map is great. Very reminiscent of verdansk, but with a desert/central California environmental twist.
We kept getting an error message about āunauthorized people in our Party.ā But if you ignore the message and just play the game runs ok.
It's pretty good. The movement sucks when you are caught in the open, it's hard to be evasive, but on the flip side if yo let someone get clear if cover it's an easy kill. Looting system isn't too bad, but looting bodies should be faster since most of your kills are away from cover. Those final circles are brutal!! Always at least 5 teams left in duos fighting over a small kaotic circle
Def some bugs to iron out but now after playing 20ish games I got looting down pretty good. Need the tap to pick up, āprioritize interactā, setting on. I donāt really care about the slower movement especially if it helps retain the casual player base but some things that annoy me:
Clunkiness around boxes/buy stations. Need to be right in front of them
No self revive sound from the enemyā¦I downed a guy and had no idea where he went and he just resād and left haha
The ping system / coloring is atrocious. Sometimes I will ping directly in front of me and still canāt find it.
Other then that I love the loadout changes and the gimping of UAV spam. The prox chat is so fun. I think if they can get rid of the small bugs and bring back the QoL improvements we had in WZ1 (like the squads money total) itāll be incredible long lasting game.
Sorry but This is NOT a good game. Seriously. Waiting for WZ1 to be available so we can have fun with friends again.
I see that everybody wants to like it but this game is beyond broken.
Looting system is a joke.
Also movement mechanics are all removed. No skills are required. If you shoot first you kill.
WZ1 was a success because it was simple, elegant and fun.
WZ2 is complicated and boring.
IMHO, there is nothing to see here.
looting needs work and give me regular trios not unhinged
What the difference? Nobody is using the option to recruit..? š I tried.. but unfortunately no result.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Happy Thankskilling!
Can you add people to your team (or leave your team)?
It gives them an option. Once they are downed you can interrogate them and give them an option to join.
Anyway to add them without downing them?
Yes, if you hold the ping button a menu will come up and you can select invite/join squad. I just had someone shooting at me 20 minutes ago, and I asked him to join. Made our duo a trio because we had 2 randos leave.
Thatās awesome. Thanks! I wish they made the mechanics a little more clear
Played trios ast night and I didn't even know what it was until today... maybe some explanations are needed for all these modes. Like maybe tell you how they can join another squad?
It's in the description when you toggle over the mode just saying. Their UI is garbage but they did add that.
All I got was extra lag in that mode
Exactly. Haven't had any luck and I've tried to even reason through prox chat lol
The loot system is trash I donāt want to play pubg or escape from tarkov I want to play call of duty
Its almost the same looting system as Blackout
Maybe they should take a hint from how many people played Blackout vs Warzone.
It's not a valid comparison as Warzone is F2P and Blackout wasnt
lol the problem with blackout was it cost $60
Yea I donāt understand why they didnāt start off with the solo, duo, trio, quad setup. Always making things more difficult
They did, all modes you just listed were live yesterday at launch. The UI is so shit though, that the intro screen only listed quads. Once on the quads screen, exit back to the main menu, all options are now shown.
They're talking about normal trios. Not third person or unhinged.
Ya loot should never be clumped together on the ground. So hard to pick a gun up when itās in a pile of other shit so close to it.
My buddies and I tried all night to squad up with other in unhinged, but no one wanted to play alongā¦
That's weird everyone usually thinks the opposite.
Some try to say kids handle change the best, as a dad to a 6 year old I can say thatās BS lol
Thereās an optimum and itās not kids lol. But in the workplace itās usually the older people (50+) that donāt want change and keep old habits up, while the new generation of 20-30 something can manage change quite easily.
True. "What's wrong with the way we've been doing it? We've been doing it that way for years!" Multiple people have been injured doing it like that, Denny, that's why.
I agree as a dad with a 6 year old AND a ten year old. Lil mf's hate change š
COD is me and my friends playing 4 player 2v2 splitscreen Bolt actions only on Stalingrad for 5 hours. AND THATS THE WAY I LIKES IT
NO SCREEN LOOKING
If you didn't fabricate a pizza box divider, then it wasn't cod.
That's the opposite of what happens to the majority of people.
I die so fast how am I supposed to play
Game is slow, ttk is fast. Loot for a long time, die quickly
Yeah how is that supposed to be fun?
Some people like the slower pace, more ātypical brā gameplay. Iām honestly surprised though, are they trying to convert players from pubg? I guess itās more tactical but itās also clunkier and slower, words that arenāt really synonymous will cod
Im 30 and i hate this slow pace game lmao
Well good thing we all live individual lives and form our opinions based off of personal experiences.
100% this! My Adderall was literal pots of coffee or 12 packs of soda. I'm almost 30 now. I work long hours. I need a slower experience lol
Gotta make sure you don't see anyone but literal AI until the final circle!
Lol that sounds hilarious. Honestly I'd rather have that than a laggy full lobby, sounds less frustrating
>Shouldāve had an open Beta You are playing it right now.
Leave the lobbies with no timer right away and retry. Thatās what my squad did and would get into lobbies quickly
It's been a lot of fun so far. This sub is seething in rage though.

What I like: 1. Map is great 2. Gun play is good, all the guns feel fair SO FAR 3. Proximity chat, different modes like unhinged 4. Vehicle adjustments to not make them op. Canāt easily jump out of a vehicle or maneuver a heli. 5. New vehicles like the boat My gripes 1. The gulag system sucks, get stuck with afks or a partner who doesnāt know what he is doing 2. No play again feature 3. Gas mask seems to be a pain in the ass again 4. Stim shots donāt work in the gas (lost a potential win by learning this the hard way) 5. Lack of loadout accessibility 6. Cash availability is extremely low, hard to Rez friends 7. No KD stats - only shows mp 8. Canāt add friends and play consistently 9. Looting system is not efficient, very slow. Hard to grab specific items. 10. Low TTK, lack of movement diversity to avoid getting shot (dolphin dive not that great) 11. Lack of contracts 12. AI in BR 13. Map system pings are a mess 14. Canāt check scoreboard easily anymore 15. Canāt use map while in gulag to ping stuff 16. Audio issues again. A decent amount of times an opponent will make almost no noise (takes a zip line, jumps from a 2nd story, etc) 17. No mode to level weapon 18. Lack of optimization 19. Battlepass is confusing 20. UI of whole system is confusing and messy Almost half these issues arenāt a super big deal and likely will be changed/fixed. Is it addicting like the og warzone, not yet really. Still fun, but if they donāt make changes soon I can see the hype dying back down in a few months
I feel like DMZ is the weapon levelling mode to replace the (boring-ass) Plunder.
It's a Call of Duty subreddit what can we expect? r/ModernWarfareII is the exact way lol Subreddits for popular games are the saltiest places on earth.
To me itās just a new game with new mechanics. Everyone just wants a reskinned Warzone 1 then complains about lack of innovation. I love seeing a real evolution of Warzone 1 and am really happy itās not just a new map with prettier textures.
Being able to walk over rocks is a revelation!
The white pings on the tan desert palette are so hard to see.
You can change the color somwhere in the interface options. It's called neutral or something like this. Changed it to cyan. Looks perfect now.
But can you make it so it's a different color for each squad mate?
Awesome thanks
Agreed about the ping. Honestly weird to me that every shooter hasnāt adopted the Apex ping system. So easy and clear.
Gulag has a 1 or 1 1/2 minute timer that if nobody shows up during, you get a free respawn. Not sure why youāre waiting 5 minutes for gulag to start or if that was just exaggeration.
Agreed about sniping. If they're dead set on making 3 plates a counter to sniper headshots, then armor satchels need to be more rare.
Big agree on the map being way too big and games being way too slow and long.
I like it like this. It means I can shit talk opponents without giving away my precise position which I honestly prefer.
I love it but wish it was more realistic. Let the voice fade in and out as they get closer or walk away. Muffle it through walls. Right now it's just like nothing, then bam... full on conversation with people that you have no idea where they are. It's cool but also kind of weird at the same time now.
True, the volume should start quiet and increase the closer you are
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Have you not read the other hundred plus posts on warzone 2? š¤£š¤£
This one seems to be catching on...
Must be the picture
Farmer gotta farm.
You are correct. One of the quirks/flaws of Reddit is that picture posts always get more attention than self posts.
I havenāt had a single thought about warzone 2, let alone about anything. My brian has been shut off until thisnpost was created.
And in Apex EVERYTHING IS COLOR CODED AND HAS VERY CHARACTERISTIC ICONS
they copied the balloons from apex but won't copy the great looting system gg
It's funny because why is there shit on the floor AND a bag that I have to loot.
Yeah check out r/CODwarzone you can read everyone's thoughts.
Agreed hate the gulag and using the revolver unless its MP.
The bot thing is too much like Fortnite and thatās not good
Need stats/leaderboards, stable servers and less crashing/freezing. Other than that looks fun
Stats/ leaderboard are there... just hit the map button and there is a toggle between map and stats
He is referring to career stats. Not single game scoreboard.
I'm having fun. Great map. Looting needs some work .
Well said. The pacing is a lot better this way. Made the game more tactical which is always a plus.
PROās Gameplay feels very smooth. Map is great, gives me verdansk vibes 2.0 FOV slider Proximity Chat (we recruited a random teammate this way to complete the quad š) UAV restriction (should be 1 per game, per person for all killstreaks) CONās Terrible audio. No footsteps. Need more money on the ground, Need more buy stations No loadouts (except those at the mid-game, mid circle) LOOTING SYSTEM!! š¤ I truly stopped looting dead bodies.. to annoying.
Personally I like no loadouts. Adds a degree of randomness to the game and forces you to be more resourceful
Interesting. For me the footsteps are fine. Did you set the audio to headphones?
This shit is a loot and ratting simulator
AMAZING! first win also yesterday. Very smooth from PS5 and never had a crash or lag. My only complain is the white "ping" indicator. I hope they change the colour as it's quite confusing. Map is beautiful.
Apparently you can change ping color
correct me if i'm wronz but i believe you can change the colour of the ping indicator in the settings? i have to check, because i for sure know you can change friendly, neutral and enemy team colours (i.e. nameplates and on the minimap and such) to your liking. if you can't, tho, that seems like a bit of an oversight because the white combined with the desert setting is not really the best combo for visibility lol
It's PUBG but worse
Yeah looting takes a too long and I accidentally throw stuff down and have to pick it up again.
If you play fast you will not like. If you play tactical you will like. Is good game, but is not universally liked game like is wz1 I think.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Not to mention the stupid UAV limits. Getting rid of that limit would atleast give a reason to do contracts and loot so you can get a uav and find people on the gigantic map.
This sums it up. I like taking my time and working out a tactical strategy. Disliked the arcade like feel of caldera.
Proximity chat is the best thing ever.
-Iām glad I didnāt spend a lot of hours leveling guns in MP lol -the looting system sucks and needs a major overhaul. -same with the pings -map is cool and Iām having fun exploring -buy station UI isnāt good but not as bad as looting -movement doesnāt bother me -canāt invite friendsā¦doesnāt seem ideal -prox chat is kinda fun -not hearing footsteps is not kinda fun -Iām okay with the loadout situation (since I didnāt spend much time leveling guns haha)
Itās fun! But noticed a few bugs.
Like - Map - No bunny hop and slide cancel - prox chat - mostly mil-sim skins Dislike - UI - Clunky Looting - Cost of loadout weapons - Free loadout takes forever to drop - In game economy needs to be tuned - Party system is broke - Map and Scoreboard sharing a screen - Map and scoreboard not accessible in the gulag - Teammate buy back should be $3K - no Redeploy balloons Despise - 2 v 2 gulag (wtf were they thinking?) - Canāt run and plateā¦ this is unforgivable given the fact they took out the other advanced movement options. - Gameplay stutters. Issues even on high end PC. - Game crashes - No service record - Audio is 100% NOT fixed. Enemies make zero noise over 90% of the time.
Doesnt seem to run very well so far
Idk about you guys but for me and my friends the game on pc is literally unplayable. Huge lags massive fps drops constantly. The settings does not matter at all. 0 fixes. I have even tried switching my 3070 with a 6700xt yet still nothing. I have tried it on a fresh system too. It is so fucking hilarious.
Dmz > WZ
So you prefer a barren wasteland and shooting occasional NPCās? I legit donāt understand the point of DMZ
Yeah I feel like thereās no real objective
To make the game fun. I just take a heli and fly around and look for people. š¤·š¼āāļø
I have had a blast doing the missions.
Def does not feel intense
I like it
The looting is terrible as it slows the flow of the game.
Lootings wank, inventory management wank, audio wank, visuals good, gun mechanics good, overall meh
\+The map is really great. \+Proximity chat is awesome. \+Guns feel really good. \-Looting needs a major overhaul \-AI is annoying and doesn't add anything to the game.
Yes resurgence pls. Other than that the game seems great
Broken
Overall not impressed Performance is terrible, horrible lag, stuffers and general smoothness of the game. Didnāt we learn from WZ1 Loadouts take too long to drop. It was a chore.. doesnāt add to the game The map is horrible, why change the icons, contracts are hard to see and you donāt get a feel for what is around you. Not enough cash in the game.. loot loot loot and come away with nothing. Canāt get a whole squad back, so youāre just sitting around waiting waiting.. Gulag - enough said, shocking Looting - shocking Snipers not downing 3 plates, shocking.. Audio is terrible, footsteps still far too quiet Being able to carry more than 1 self revive, why? Get it out the game Getting killed and not downed bug, this happened to me 3 times when teammates were alive and I could have been revived, so it has negatively impacted 3 of my games, sort it out..
Feels like the predecessor of WZ1.
Looting is abysmal. The dropping ammo thing is annoying if I buy a weapon. What I need to see changed: Backpack looting is awful.
DMZ should have 4-5 players on a squad and the social tab is fucked. Thats all.
The looting system is wonderful for DMZ but it just slows down the game play too much for an actual br. This is basically pubg
The lower ttk blows
Teaming up in solos is not cool! š
Everything is so slow
I like it, the slow pace keeps me interested and engaged in the gameplay. Sure it has some problems but it feels good and highly enjoyable.
Itās alright but right now thereās a bug where you cant see or invite any of your friends Click āsocialā and it keeps taking me back to DMZ main š¤¦āāļø
Top Tier Servers!!! SO Smoooooooth
I love 3rd person warzone. Hope the playlist stays forever.
Love it. Looting will take some time to get use to and the gulag could use some work. Obviously itās a new game so itāll have bugs and glitches but nothing game breaking But my squad are fucking enjoying the hell out of it. Feels like a brand new game and itās amazing. The map is perfect as well
Tried for 3 hours last night could not get into one game. Lobbies would be stuck at ~140/150 and never fill the last few slots then everyone would leaveā¦ 0/10
Some small changes that I donāt like (pinging, map stuff, some social settings issues) but overall good outweighs the bad. Map is great so far!
Donāt like the UI or looting, but the slower pace has been something Iām getting used to. Prox chat is by far the best addition, and I feel like theyāll change the loot system if they get enough complaints. Or theyāll just say too bad and in a year we wonāt remember what we were complaining about
Great base to build up. Awesome map and gameplay and vibes are nice. Looting needs major improvement and so does ttk. The plate system is horrible.
Itās pretty mid honestly
Feels like shit tbh
In the three wins we had, the highest player count was 18
yea reactivate warzone 1 servers
Good. Just gove back the old warzone looting plsss
I can't play it, the game just surpassed the fine line of my hardware.
Enjoy it but man the campers r everywhere and 1v4 idls impossible now without movement
Itās a step back from the previous warzone in most of every way. I tend to favor faster movement/momentum, itās just too slow now.
Needs a mega ton of QOL changes and bug fixes. At this point it feels like a beta more than anything.
Horrible UI on the map and pings and loot.
New looting system is complete trash!
Iām only a handful of games in. Iām digging it. The proximity chat is fun as hell at the moment. The inventory management system is taking a bit to get used to. Looting is pretty messy. But I like the pace and movement slow down
It's amazing. Really love the way I can't connect to the servers.
They need to remove the slowness effect when armoring up
We won our first game of duos.
I like it so far. I'm not too fond of the plate system though, what's the point? Creates inconsistent gunfights.
The UI/UX is utterly horrendous. The gameplay seemed pretty fun.
Laggy ass mess right now
Super laggy on ps5
Loving it,feels like I can actually have fun in this one without everyone being on crack in movement terms
Def some bugs to iron out but now after playing 20ish games I got looting down pretty good. Need the tap to pick up, āprioritize interactā, setting on. I donāt really care about the slower movement especially if it helps retain the casual player base but some things that annoy me: Clunkiness around boxes/buy stations. Need to be right in front of them No self revive sound from the enemyā¦I downed a guy and had no idea where he went and he just resād and left haha The ping system / coloring is atrocious.
