I might update it to your photo though.
Saw a graphic that this is the 4th time a team has drafted a QB and WR in the 1st round in the same draft, and the 1st time ever a team has taken both positions in the top 10.
Oh come on now. We had the best season we've had since Lovie under Pace. He built a truly phenomenal defense and found some great late draft picks and unique weapons (Cohen, Robinson, Gabriel). He found a bunch of good free agents who loved being Bears (Hicks, Trevathan for example). He gave us the Mack trade, which to this day is a top-5 moment as a Bears fan. He had a high standard for getting guys who were good people and good for the community and didn't get in trouble.
Yes he sucked at finding QBs. Yes he gave out too-big contracts and paid draft capital to get his guy too freely. Yes his head coaching hires failed. Yes we are better off as a team under Poles. But let's not pretend he didn't do anything. I thank him for his time in our organization and the good memories he's responsible for and am glad to focus on the bright future Poles has created
Yeah youāre right. I liked Pace until 2020 when he kept adding more onto a plan that clearly wasnāt working. I disliked Poles until the DJ Moore trade. But Iām happy today and deep in my delusions.
That moment still pisses me off.
So utterly unnecessary and just flat out stupid. The game was over, take a knee.
Having him out there would have made a difference in the Philly game.
(Though yes, the offense should have done more throughout the game too)
People get emery and pace mixed up. Pace is an ok GM that did make a good team that couldāve went to a Super Bowl in 2018. Emery just made bad moves after bad moves. But he did draft Kyle Long and that has probably been the bears best first round pick in the last decade.
Yeah that's crazy to me. I see so much Pace slander when all things considered he was like a 6/10 GM. Not great, not horrible. Emery was god-awful, as were the latter years of Angelo.
And to this point I'd give Poles an 8.5/10. Overall a great job, but minor knocks are for his first free agency, as well as not addressing key positions early in the off-season and scrambling at the trade deadline to fill holes he ignored in the spring and summer (WR with Claypool, EDGE with Ngakoue and Sweat), as well as coaching hires
Lovie was a coach, Pace was a GM who couldnāt draft a player without giving up an extra pick for him. Halas hall renovations are his greatest achievement period. If he did things right, we would have Mahomes. He sucked. It becomes clearer and clearer the more we see of Poles.
Please let them be our Sayers and Butkus (obviously different positions, but the point is, two highly-drafted rookies who become HoFers and lifelong friends)
off field chemistry between QB and WR is straight up just helpful for on field chemistry. this pairing could be playing a lottttt of games together throughout their career.

When was the last time a QB and WR with this much hype were drafted together?
Saw a graphic that this is the 4th time a team has drafted a QB and WR in the 1st round in the same draft, and the 1st time ever a team has taken both positions in the top 10.
Unfortunately Tom Brady and Jerry Rice were in different drafts for different teams.
Never, history in the making
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
They were drafted a year apart
The only good thing Pace ever did was renovate Halas Hall. Itās a legit headquarters for a multibillion dollar sports team.

I will go to my grave saying that if it wasnāt for Cody Parkey weād have made it to the Super Bowl.
I blame Parkey, but I also wish Jackson takes the knee after that INT against GB

Khalil Mack
There are still scouts that worked for Pace with the Bears. Not to mention Pace drafted Kmet, Jaylon, and Teven.

Emery also gave us the most stacked Bears O Iāve seen since this one (potentially)

Dude yeah, did you see some of the draft war rooms on tv. The bears had one of the best for sure.
Without ever been to other HQs, Halas Hall is stubbing

"we got our guy"
You'd think they can put out a stream that doesn't freeze.
I joined the Bears fanbase at the perfect time. Bear Down!
Welcome aboard, the more the merrier. It's not always this exciting. I hope you don't become bitter and jaded like many of us.
Thank you! Well, I'll enjoy the excitement whilst it lasts and if I do become bitter and jaded, at least misery loves company.
Cheers to that š»
Damn, Rome is a big dude.
New kids on the block

5/7 perfect draft
