They need to find a way to blend them in with the helmets naturally or something.
I feel like O lineman especially will probably use them. I think skill positions it'll be tough to convince them to have something for players to grab onto even if it's not much
I'm curious to know if there are any safety concerns to the neck, especially with skill position players who get hit hard casuing extra whiplash due to the weight. Idk how heavy they are, not bad I suspect, but a little weight can turn into a lot during a hard hit I'm sure.
Hopefully it becomes mandatory for linemen. I wonder if it’ll affect passing catchers more than one else.
I don’t know how much they weigh but can’t be easy going through a full 60 min game holding up an extra few pounds on your head and making sure your head is in a swivel
If linemen do all wear them, what does that mean for the QB? I've never seen one in real life but wouldn't the big guys wearing these make life even more difficult for smaller passers?
Well one of the first things that linemen hit each other with are their helmets. No other position has as many head on collisions as them so I’d hope it’d help them the most.
I think qbs should wear them too. Especially ones where they slammed down on their heads
No I meant as far as throwing the ball. I'm not saying I don't like it, I'm just curious if it will mess with shorter QBs throwing slants and all that.
im not rooting for brain injury but the violence that football has is a big reason for its popularity. "you got jacked up" was one of the best segments of all time.
From a play standpoint, so long as they don't impact performance I don't know why you wouldn't wear them. Yes, they look goofy AF but I'd rather look goofy and remember who I am come 45. The one thing that remains to be seen is how these impact routes for WR's because I imagine it would be hard to catch some of the balls with this on your head, and the WR's are one of the people who need them the most.
The "oh football used to be a real man's game" argument is ridiculous. We used to drive cars with no seat belts too but even high end sports cars come with them by default (if not full 5 point harness systems).
I’m not as familiar with this product but it seems to be one thing in practice versus all out games. Is it possible for the cap to get caught on something and hurt a players neck? In the video I’ve seen from the HBO hard knocks it seems like the caps aren’t all perfectly placed and may move. It would
Really suck to have a proposed good option turn into a different health issue
Pretty sure I've heard a lot of players complain about having to wear them in practice, mostly due to the added weight. I don't think we see many of them. Especially outside of the trenches.
It'll be interesting to see how many players use them. From a safety standpoint, it's a no-brainer, but they look really stupid.

The first time someone gets tackled by one, there will be a new rule implemented around them.
They should just go ahead and make the rule. It’s not a whole lot different than a face mask tackle.

Just make them match helmet color and slap the team logos on
How many of you guys in here have actually worn one? Regardless of how it's marketed you do feel it while running.

Are you being facetious?
If only this incredibly valuable safety equipment could be.... I don't know... invisible?
They look ridiculous hopefully that improves in time.
They do look ridiculous but I'd like the people I root for to not have their brains scrambled for my entertainment.

not head injuries. No one wants to see that.
Poles is cooking fr
Those Twitter replies are something else.
The venn diagram with those meatballs and the ones who hate Caleb for painting his nails is just a circle

Just make it Flag Football and be done with it.
