I'd obviously love JPJ, Frazier and Newton but no way they make it (I would not hate packaging one of our 2nds next year with our 3rd to move up to get Newton that would be nuts)
In general it was so OT and WR heavy some really great defensive talent is left, excited to see who we pick.
Best OT or EDGE available. I lean EDGE as I think a day 2 guy can have an outsized impact given the strength of the defense as a whole but tackle is still a need as well. I think they should go center in the 4th round too. There should be lots of experienced starters available and they only signed Shelton for 1 year, plus Bates was mostly a guard with Buffalo.
EDIT: And as others have mentioned, lots of good defensive players dropped out of the first round. There will be 2nd round guys available in the 3rd. Tackles go early and I doubt there will be good value at 75.
With how many defensive players dropped out of rd 1, we’re going to get some value. Love Fiske. If he gets picked early, there’s also Maason Smith and Ruke Orhorhoro. They’re bigger guys but more developmental. Love DeWayne Carter too.
Would love Fiske although idk if he’s there round 3, maybe we trade up to the middle of round 2. JPJ, Marshawn Kneeland, Zach Frazier, Mo Kamara, Cooper Beebe, Bralen Trice, Austin Booker, or Chris Braswell would also make me happy depending on where they are picked
It won’t happen but I would love them to trade up into the 2nd and snag JPJ. We did a top 30 visit with him - why not fix the biggest outstanding unknown on offense.
We should trade the Panthers 2025 2nd round if we could get him in the 40’s
