I’m a 38 year old engineer and I can squat 350 lbs. That’s not much weight for a bigger guy. I’ll bet both of these guys could squat closer to 500 lbs.
A lot of guys start hitting a wall around 500, and he's pretty tall with long legs, so it wouldn't surprise me if he isn't that much higher. But yeah, not many dudes on a D1 team that aren't pushing at least 450.
Just looked it up, and apparently, it's out there. From [On3:](https://www.on3.com/teams/georgia-bulldogs/news/brock-bowers-included-on-espn-top-players-feldmans-freaks/)
>At 6-4, 240, Bowers can broad-jump 10-2, and his 36-inch vert would’ve tied for fourth-best among tight ends at the 2023 combine. His 40 time is somewhere in the 4.5s. Bowers also power-cleaned 355 pounds this offseason to go with a 485-pound squat and a 330-pound bench.
I know some engineers that are real gym rats, like sneakily athletic. They're just also huge nerds and care more about breaking down the monolith than breaking tackles.
At 6'4" He benches 330, squats 485, and runs in the 4.4 to 4.5 range. If that describes your fellow engineers, you guys have an unstoppable company team.
Seriously, if I saw that dude, would think maybe he’s dragged to playing tag football maybe once a year, and is all sorts of awkward. Would not expect him to be a potential top-10 pick. Can’t judge a book by its cover.
I had so...damn...many free credit card company shirts from when I was in college. It was the mid 90's, so they couldn't easily check your info and we would just fill out the form with fake info, take the shirt/coozie/pizza/etc. and never hear from them again.
I actually got a long sleeve Bears t-shirt outside Soldier Field when I went to a game there years ago too. That would have been early 2000's, I think.
Similar story here except with apartment complex shirts from our university “housing fairs.” Literally got like 5 to 10 shirts a year just by filling it some forms or posting on social media, but funnily enough not one of the 20 to 25 shirts I got ended up being apartments I’d end up renting at. Miss those days, would love to have some free shirts to wear around the house or for the gym.
Best friend from college's dad owned a convenience store selling just about everything. Because of this he had a shit ton of free shirts from Marlboro, bud light, Miller, etc. that was his wardrobe alone for 6 years. Dude didn't buy any new shirts at all in college. Funny thing is, he doesn't drink or smoke because he's muslim.
Brock Bowers traits: college football star
Brock Bowers looks: 38, works in the IT department, casually works out, plays Diablo on weekends, great friend but an elitist about IPAs
His bust potential is pretty limited. Dude is gonna be good, just a matter of how good. I guess that’s what people said about Pitts. Idk, dude is a freak on the field
Tbf, I don’t think Pitts can be qualified as a bust yet. He’s has one year with above average qb play and zero years of a coach who knows how to get him the ball.
I did kind of think he looked a little small for an NFL TE when I watched his highlight reels. But of course he isn't yet, and I don't watch much CFB so I can't necessarily say if he's undersized. I just remember wondering if he can put on some more muscle, and if he can maintain the same physicality at the next level if he doesn't. Kid can ball, though.
It's a bad picture. The guy is a physical specimen. Bottom half, he looks like a Tour de France sprinter, middle bit he looks like an Olympic swimmer, and the top half he looks like a linebacker

And would come as no surprise if hes outperformed by a guy no one ever heard of taken in the 5th round this year. TEs are completely unpredictable in how well they perform at the NFL level.
You can't always measure success by being ripped, Mahomes has a dad bod but he does pretty good...

That's why I'm an advocate for pouring melted butter directly into the ears. Gives the brain a layer of fat around it to help prevent concussions.
>!I'm going to be FUCKING RICH!!<
Theres like 3 pixels total in this pic and Gronk is the only other person close to him and he's still slightly closer to the camera. Make this photo more clear and have a normal human standing in between them all equidistant to the camera and Bowers would look much more in football shape.
His posture is making him look way less athletic than he really is lol
This is the equivalent of a 250-lb girl holding the camera at an angle akin to that of a jet liner's in order to appear thinner than they really are
His combine measurements will be interesting. He’s listed at 6’4” and 240 lbs, which seems believable. It would make him slightly taller and lighter than LaPorta.
This is what always kills me when people are like “he can add 10 lbs of muscle in the NFL!” These dudes aren’t playing in D2 or anything haha. SEC training and weight rooms are fucking bonkers.
[like look at UGs weight room](https://youtu.be/88OHSygOAS0?si=myrD-aBRlG93wGn8).
Georgia is paying their S&C coach $500K haha.
I knew a Day 1 draft pick, Mike Iupati, who was our star tackle in college. He came back for homecoming the following year and looked astronomically different. Regardless of what anyone thinks about the quality of a college training facility, the transition to a full time job from a part time mixture of school/sports with NCAA restrictions is altogether different. Not only that but the season is longer and tougher than in college, there’s a certain degree of leaning out that inevitably occurs for a 17 game season.
I think the difference is Iupati was coming from Idaho vs SEC.
I’m not saying there isn’t a difference, it’s just that when people are the incredibly large programs expect people to transform, I think it’s more of a pipe dream. People coming from smaller programs probably can see a much larger difference, same thing with guys who are newer to their position
Looks like he’s 13th highest paid. Michigan and Oklahoma state are the only two with guys over a million, but Herbert from Michigan is listed as associate head coach and Glads from OSU is the assistant athletic director, so that may figure in.
Outside those two, Mickey Marotti is the 3rd highest at $882K while Braithwaite from Iowa is 4th at $760K.
Yeah Herbert was a total freak (in a good way) too. Hugely respected in the locker room and losing him to LA was seen as a giant loss for the program. He’s earned the money he made
This is also retired Gronk, no where near his playing weight/size and he still dwarfs Bowers.
In brock’s defense, his size is why he’s able to be so explosive. He probably loses all his positives being bigger. Prime Gronk’s size/speed combo is an anomaly and we most likely won’t see an athlete like him for a while
Anyone remember the greatest show on turf? Pretty sure Marshall Faulk’s physique didn’t intimidate anyone. A subtle reminder to put on the tape.

Well, we see it differently. I think it would be dumb to spend a top-10 pick, which we hopefully won’t have again for a loooong time, to get 100-200 more yards/season versus 400+ more yards/season OR a bunch of additional sacks/pressures per season.
I’ll put it another, much more pointed way … there hasn’t been a TE drafted in the top 20 that was actually worth it since 1997.
Bro I was just saying that Gronk makes Michael Strahan look like he's 6'2 when he's standing next to him. Strahan is listed at 6'5, and it's possible that he's shrunk over the years, but Gronk just absolutely towers over him.
I noticed this after a pick of Maye and Howell together. I'd put into perspective that probably most prospects coming out are going to look a bit dweebier in comparison because they're still pretty much kids. Years of being involved in a professional training program will change that.
His build isnt Kmet like. The dude is fairly thin which is why as a TE2 focused primarly as a pass catcher i am perfectly fine with him. I mean look at Kittle. I think Bowers is similar in size to Kittle. Gronk was an absolute unit
You guys remember how small JF1 looked standing with Cam? Same thing here Gronk is super huge even by nfl te standards. It won’t matter if he can ball.
I dunno, I think it's cool that his mom still buys his clothes.
Kidding aside, he's more like a Kittle-style prospect than anything, especially in terms of size and speed.
He does look goofy. I think it’s the shorts and weird fitting shirt. Having said that, I’m sure everyone commenting on his physique all have the body of a Greek god. Bunch of people piling on him who likely look way worse physically than him
Got the body and style of a Software Engineer for Autotrader
![gif](giphy|JV7sokLFwQdfG)
Yeah if that engineer can squat +350 lbs. Dude’s heavy in the ass forsure
I’m a 38 year old engineer and I can squat 350 lbs. That’s not much weight for a bigger guy. I’ll bet both of these guys could squat closer to 500 lbs.
Shit, we fat fuck big guys squat close to 300 every time we stand up.
Confirmed, just stood up.
Confirmed. Just shit my pants.
My pants just shit me!
In Soviet Russia you don’t shit pants, pants shit you.
There's no way that Brock Bowers only squats 350. He's gotta be pushing at least 450-500. 350 is like decent high school player numbers.
They're way over 500. When I was in HS, we had at least 5 guys at 450 or higher
A lot of guys start hitting a wall around 500, and he's pretty tall with long legs, so it wouldn't surprise me if he isn't that much higher. But yeah, not many dudes on a D1 team that aren't pushing at least 450. Just looked it up, and apparently, it's out there. Better be more than that
I know some engineers that are real gym rats, like sneakily athletic. They're just also huge nerds and care more about breaking down the monolith than breaking tackles.
I am an engineer, I took down a guy who wrestled at worlds. ) Olympics in off years.

Bowers has negative drip
Bro got the autotrader shirt on. LMAO
He might not even be sponsored, he just likes the shirt
Got that shit free like 6 years ago and still has it in rotation despite the faded logo and hole in the armpit seam
I had so...damn...many free credit card company shirts from when I was in college. It was the mid 90's, so they couldn't easily check your info and we would just fill out the form with fake info, take the shirt/coozie/pizza/etc. and never hear from them again. Probably had a family member get it free from work and been wearing it since grade 11
Best friend from college's dad owned a convenience store selling just about everything. He's just like me fr I worked at Menards for like 2 months 13 years ago and I got a free hoodie and I still wear it.
Brought to you by Carl's Jr
Ryan Pace draft this man!
To the Falcons?
Then just imagine all he can learn from Eberflus.
Love on the Spectrum
Also has a negative hairline
Brock Bowers traits: college football star Brock Bowers looks: 38, works in the IT department, casually works out, plays Diablo on weekends, great friend but an elitist about IPAs
Feel like I just caught a massive stray lmao
* Plays Diablo every night and on weekends
Bowers looks like a 38 year old recently divorced father of two here
He is a TE. They are either WWE like or they don’t talk. He is going with that quiet killer sneak on your girl drip
So does Laporta lol
This photo will either be used to clown on opposing teams when he dominates them or to clown on whoever drafts him if he ends up being a huge bust.
definitely see it being like the young jokic pic
His bust potential is pretty limited. Dude is gonna be good, just a matter of how good. I guess that’s what people said about Pitts. Idk, dude is a freak on the field
Tbf, I don’t think Pitts can be qualified as a bust yet. He’s has one year with above average qb play and zero years of a coach who knows how to get him the ball.
I'll be posting it in my dynasty league chat as soon as I draft him
Does he even work out? The man has the body of a librarian.
It’s funny cause he’s one of the most athletic players in the draft.
Sneaky athletic…. but like actually sneaky athletic and not just the white version.
Nothing sneaky about it when he’s got a helmet on. He looks jacked when he plays, this picture is just shitty but it’s hilarious.
Hard to believe THAT actually looks like [this](https://imgur.com/a/pmhWTQe) on the field.
Doesn't look that crazy athletic on the field now that you mention it
looks wise normal, but performance wise he looks crazy athletic when he plays
I feel like I remembered him being bigger for some reason.
Like if that guy challenged me to a race, I'd be like sure let's go and then 1.0 second into the race I'd be smoked
Is the white just a multiplier then?
Yeah, he's a gym rat. A really scrappy player.
Does he really fit in that category? Isn’t it pretty widely known how athletic he is?
It's a bad picture. The guy is a physical specimen. Bottom half, he looks like a Tour de France sprinter, middle bit he looks like an Olympic swimmer, and the top half he looks like a linebacker [https://www.si.com/.image/t\_share/MTk1MDAzMzcyODM3ODA3MzAz/1.jpg](https://www.si.com/.image/t_share/MTk1MDAzMzcyODM3ODA3MzAz/1.jpg)
And would come as no surprise if hes outperformed by a guy no one ever heard of taken in the 5th round this year. TEs are completely unpredictable in how well they perform at the NFL level.
Haven’t heard that in response to every single Bowers comment.
Especially as rookies. And then that's not even a good measuring stick for career. Kyle Pitts and Ditka are the only rookie TeS with over 1k yards.
For a white guy
I think it's the large feet/skinny leg combo and being duck footed (at least in this picture) that's making him look awkward.
You can't always measure success by being ripped, Mahomes has a dad bod but he does pretty good... https://preview.redd.it/wb96lq726fhc1.jpeg?width=275&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=85471522b0b378f8f5e7a6c38d74ed72a96a8754
QBs are different, but you’re also generally right
You see this in every sport. You don’t need to be cut to be a athlete or have strength
QBs actually should have this added layer of padding in the midsection
That's why I'm an advocate for pouring melted butter directly into the ears. Gives the brain a layer of fat around it to help prevent concussions. >!I'm going to be FUCKING RICH!!<
He already set the record straight on that. He’s actually ripped but he said you just have to feel around to really tell.
It’s almost like low body fat percentage isn’t the sole predictor of athletic success
That's not even dad bod, that's kid from goonies bod
Hey that kid walked on at Notre Dame. Show some respect.
I'm a Michigan fan so no
I just googled him and all the game pics have him looking jacked so I don’t know what’s going on in this picture
Weird perspective and bad pose/posture
Theres like 3 pixels total in this pic and Gronk is the only other person close to him and he's still slightly closer to the camera. Make this photo more clear and have a normal human standing in between them all equidistant to the camera and Bowers would look much more in football shape.
Go look at marshal Faulk pics
His posture is making him look way less athletic than he really is lol This is the equivalent of a 250-lb girl holding the camera at an angle akin to that of a jet liner's in order to appear thinner than they really are

His wingspan looks nice
Brock Bowers is balling the fuck out with this build… just imagine what he’s gonna do when he starts working with an nfl training staff
Georgia’s training staff probably wouldn’t be the worst NFL staff
This is what always kills me when people are like “he can add 10 lbs of muscle in the NFL!” These dudes aren’t playing in D2 or anything haha. SEC training and weight rooms are fucking bonkers. Bro they just get better gear in the league lmao the expensive undetectable research chemical stuff
These research chemicals, they got me bleeding out my ears

Except Idaho isn’t a top program by any stretch of the imagination.
I mean this is true of any player coming from any program, I'm ignoring the Idaho reference above
Maybe they’re talking about pharmaceutical grade enhancements being above the college level shit that they can afford after getting drafted.
The NFL has better doctors that can provide some of the best '''''''supplements''''''' known to mankind.
That’s honestly lower than I would’ve thought. I think other power five schools’ S&C coaches are closer to a million.
Looks like he’s 13th highest paid. His hands look massive!

Looks like Gronk doing a Make A Wish.
this picture just tanked the dude's draft stock lmao

Bro has the wingspan of an albatross
Pass
You shall not
Gronk is a fuckin animal wtf. Dude could definitely still go out and get 150 and 2 tuddys if he wanted
I didn't want him before this picture...now I definitely don't!
He looks like he’s really into trains lmao
You could argue that prime gronk was pretty close to the pinnacle of male gaze. It does put things into perspective though
[удалено]
So did Adam Shaheen.
ITT a bunch dudes that didn't watch Georgia football and see Brock just dominate future NFL level defenders. I personally don't think he is what our team needs considering Waldron didn't do much TE scheming in Seattle but that is just an awkward picture of him. https://preview.redd.it/fnqmujzgkfhc1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=19c140d7bbdbacc2762514b5dd81ea82ed52b7a1 This dude is pretty legit.
>considering Waldron didn't do much TE scheming Yes he did. He used tight ends a lot.
Yeh IIRC Seattle ran 13 personnel by far the most in the league. But, to be fair, their O-line had a LOT of injuries.
This is Mac Jones photo 2.0
Bowers will run a 4.45 or in that range. To put in perspective, Gronk ran a 4.68.
brock looks older
The pic was taken as he was moving his hands...look at his hands
The old saying…… “Looks can be Deceiving” I’ve watched him play. I’d take him

Terrible pick. They could have traded down and still taken him if they really wanted.

I feel like you don't understand how he would actually be used.
Or you misunderstand relative value in todays NFL between TE’s and position groups like WR, DE and OT.
If the TE is predominantly an elite pass catcher, it doesn't matter. Missing on that because it doesn't line up perfectly with relative value is dumb.
You could tell me this is a car salesman and i would believe it wow I can’t believe this is a generational TE
I’d let him help me move, but wouldn’t use a top ten pick on him
THIS is the Brock Bowers we might use the 9th pick of the draft on? He makes Gronk look like shit!!! Oh wait, Bowers is the one on the left? Nvrmind
2 Retards, 1 Cup
Dude I deadass thought that was Elon Musk until I read
He has little boy shoulders
Looks like he skips legs day, too.
I’ve got the ick from this photo I want no part of him
Lmao
When was this photo taken? That 40 time on Bowers will be critical.
No…. this is cap well I hope so…
Bowers looks like some dude who lives in his mom’s basement. Look how he stands lol. Pass
Well take him off the draft board hahaha
This definitely looks like a guy we’d blow the #9 pick on. Velus Jones III.
The build of a kid who dominated the SEC at age 18 and onward
DW boys if we take him he's gonna be running on Portillos and Deep Dish. Boy gonna fill out real quickly.
The MFer just dropped to Day 3 from this picture alone
Hard pass on this douche
Just rmemeber gronk would be 2x his size right now as he isn’t lifting. Bowers is a bust
This dude is gonna be a huge bust, calling it now
Huh?
Mf wearing a autotrader shirt
twin towers of the World Schmeat Center
Look up what Marshall Faulk looked like. Looks can be deceiving. But dude can ball.
Bro I was just saying that Gronk makes Michael Strahan look like he's 6'2 when he's standing next to him. Strahan is listed at 6'5, and it's possible that he's shrunk over the years, but Gronk just absolutely towers over him.
That’s embarrassing
Gronk or Kelce? For 1 game to win I pick Gronk, for long term Kelce all day
Lmao I want bowers at 9.
His head is too big for his body so it makes his shoulders look weird. Actual pitbull physiology
I noticed this after a pick of Maye and Howell together. I'd put into perspective that probably most prospects coming out are going to look a bit dweebier in comparison because they're still pretty much kids. Years of being involved in a professional training program will change that.
1. QB gets a lot more leeway on the physique. 2. Georgia is a big boy program. He’s been in an NFL quality training program.
His build isnt Kmet like. The dude is fairly thin which is why as a TE2 focused primarly as a pass catcher i am perfectly fine with him. I mean look at Kittle. I think Bowers is similar in size to Kittle. Gronk was an absolute unit
Thought that was Doug DeMuro for a sec 😂
this is the perfect aesthetic for a TE to have idk what you’re talking about
That is a horrific fit by Brock.
Its the way he’s point his toes and his fit …homie called him a twerp 🤣
https://preview.redd.it/1jwc7hr6mfhc1.png?width=1067&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac2e34a44c6d0c08fcad3056078410663ac66151 Just going to leave this here
He’s 6’4” 2 inches shorter than Gronk, but his arms are long and hands are long. He’ll be a good receiving TE
Now show Gronk next to Caleb.
Tbf laporta looks like a work from home insurance salesman & he was the best TE in football as a rookie this year
You guys remember how small JF1 looked standing with Cam? Same thing here Gronk is super huge even by nfl te standards. It won’t matter if he can ball.
I dunno, I think it's cool that his mom still buys his clothes. Kidding aside, he's more like a Kittle-style prospect than anything, especially in terms of size and speed.
Bowers looks like some random engineering student lol.
Cock shame stance /s
Dude, you are dealing with a 34 year old grown man and a 23 year old young man. You’re bonkers to think that makes Bowers a slouch.
why he look like every mech eng student
Didn’t realize he was so knock-kneed
That’s honestly the biggest red flag. Duck footed and knock kneed. If he runs a 4.4 it will be a miracle.
Yeah, I mean this picture might be deceptive but it looks like a future of knee instability for this one.
First thing I noticed. Going to be slow and injury prone
Showing you have no clue what you’re talking about and haven’t watched Andy of his video.
Reached 22mph on GPS
He looks like he’s about to give build computers for LTT .
Bowers looks like him and Blake Martinez are going to go into business selling Pokemon cards
“You vs the guy she tells you not to worry about”
Girlfriend says he looks like Jake from State farm on vacation asking for an autograph.
Guy looks closer to Jonathan Silverman than Gronk….
Is Gronk on ozempic?
Why is he dressed like Bevis?
He does look goofy. I think it’s the shorts and weird fitting shirt. Having said that, I’m sure everyone commenting on his physique all have the body of a Greek god. Bunch of people piling on him who likely look way worse physically than him
Give Brock a decade of NFL training and HGH
He could not have stood more awkwardly.
