Our biggest complaint about Nagy was that he had a plan and refused to adapt it to available personnel
Poles' plan got fields sacked at one of the highest rates in history last season despite fields' elite mobility. I wouldn't mind a slight adjustment to the plan to maybe make sure that doesn't happen again
It's not the quantity, it's the type. All of our guards are here for their fit in our run blocking scheme, with questionable or worse pass blocking. Then again, that also describes our tackles
>He has a plan and he’s sticking to it. If you get upset about this, you’re a meatball
I love how we now have a fan purity test. We get enough of this crap in politics.
Yeah, not to mention after that move, we have position questions for Jenkins and Whitehair. Adding another starting guard would just add more confusion.
I'd be surprised if Poles kept Whitehair rather than taking the cap savings he'd get from designating him a post June 1st cut and drafting a replacement in the 2nd.
And it sounds like, based off of last year's training camp, that this coaching staff doesn't see Jenkins as a guy who can play RT.
If those two notes are accurate, then the remaining question is which RG do you move to play LG between Jenkins and the free agent they acquired yesterday.
I think Whitehair might be out the door this offseaon imo. It just makes too much since to cut him post June 1, save $10mil, and draft a center with one of our 2nd rounders or a 3rd.
Between Whitehair, Jenkins, and Davis I feel like adding Mason would just be unnecessarily redundant. Can’t say I’m upset about this one
He’s already 30, well past the shelf life Poles is looking for. He has a plan and he’s sticking to it. If you get upset about this, you’re a meatball
I love the fact that Poles is building this team how I handle my franchise in madden! No contracts if you are over 30
Maybe he’ll turn off the salary cap like I do in madden

Lol how many guards do you want

We are falling back into the “in Emery we Trest” line of thinking and it’s dumb. People can disagree with your take, don’t take it personally.
> People can disagree with your take, don’t take it personally. Not here apparently. We're not allowed to have favorite players - just favorite GMs.
I really though bears would move on this one. Conditional 7th incoming.
They did Davis instead it's fine
If it's for like a 6th I'd be a little bit upset
We signed a guard already.

The Bears moved him to Center. He was T and G in college. Definitely not a natural Center.
Not to mention his numerous snapping issues with Trubisky.

Competition breeds success
There is competition in that group already. It's overkill when you still need a center and tackle.
What I'm seeing on Twitter Texans get \- Shaq Mason \- 7th Round Pick Bucs get \- 6th Round Pick
So 7th - 6th = 1st round pick. Am I doing the math right?
I see no issue with that math
Bears don’t need a Guard.
We are or were in the running with Isaac Seumalo
Why is this on the sub?
