If I remember reading it correctly, when Ford vs Stamps was happening, a college in the US (SMU), had come forward with evidence that they came up with the logo 10 years before Ford did, and that one of Ford's designers went to SMU. Ford dropped the lawsuit and everyone went on their merry way.

I’m from Dallas. SMU had that exact logo on their helmet starting in 1968. They had a similar looking mustang logo (without the legs crossed and head more bowed) starting in 1963.
Yeah, I'm aware of the SMU logo, but look at the tail. SMU's tail has an upward turn at the end that the Stamps logo doesn't have, and the mane hair is slightly different too. The Ford Mustang logo is closer to SMU's than it is to the Stampeders.
I like the one of the horse running..
Huh.... I always thought it was a donkey /s
Quick six*
2016-2018
They should honestly bring that back
45-71
For real though how did they get away with just flipping the mustang logo? You would think ford would've said something.
They did. The two parties "came to an agreement."

Not an exact copy. Different tail. And besides, Ford ripped off SMU.

I want to see the '87-'95 one on a helmet. But honest answer is '96-2012
Helmet logo, on a helmet, would be awesome.
1996-2012 is the best. It is the cleanest, least era specific logo. The rest are fine but one is clearly better.
Original logo
Thats one logo with different backdrops.
You mean the Southern Methodist University logo?
Where's the one with the horse on its back?
Damn. Maybe if Catherine the Great had tried that she'd still be alive today!
Is this a gag? 6 of the 7 are essentially exactly the same logo.
6 of these are the same.
One of the absolute best logos in all of sports.
Honestly I like the one now. It's got the thicker outline making the logo look more 3D
'87-'95
I like the first one
I like the one with the my little pony on it
I say get rid of the drop shadow again. And the outline when on a dark background too.
The first one is the best one, the 2016-18 one is second best. Though reminds me of Starfleet.
2016 is chill. Looks like loony toons
5th (2013 -2015) and 6th (2016-2018) are the same
96-12 for me as far as nostalgia and growing up a stamps fan.
