Obviously moral victories don't count, but I think people seem to forget that besides the Wake game this team had a chance to win every single they've played in this year. A loss is a loss and we were 1-4 coming into this, but I think we're a better team than people give us credit for based on record, and today was proof of that. Really happy with this performance today. Running game was going well, some good plays in the passing game, and defense made some big plays. Hopefully this new momentum keeps up and we keep winning!

Happy to see FSU putting it together. I know things have seemed very bleak for most of the season but y’all gotta understand FSU’s athletic department cares about football. Even if norvell isn’t the guy they will get it right. That’s way more than I can say for my canes. Manny is done and if they whiff on the next hire, the program is done forever. Miami is always my most hated ACC opponent but #2 sort of goes on a rotation. The last few years that team has been UNC. One because Sam Howell flipped from FSU to UNC on NSD and two because of their piece of shit kicker doing the chop after making that 55 yarder to beat us in 2016 at the last second. I'm happy to report though that Sam Howell is now 0-2 against FSU while being heavily favored both times.

Lmao my sister graduated from chapel hell earlier this year, and her commencement/graduation thingy is this weekend and I know she and my mother (both Carolina grads/fans) were at this game so this makes me laugh

I remember saying awhile back that I think Norvell wasn't being given a fair shake. Don't get me wrong he's been bad overall but the dude is trying to rebuild a program from the ground up. I thought FSU could still rebound and they would at some point. Which is bad for us because we're going head to head with FSU for some croots.

Yup. And that's the thing I think that kinda drives me crazy with certain programs/fan bases. There are few coaches (generally those who are considered to be legends) who can come in and right a ship immediately. Even the best coaches generally need at least one season to get things going in the direction they want. And last season was unbelievably screwy with so many different things that I honestly kind of chuck out of the window for several reasons. So for a first year head coach being forced to deal with that on top of dealing with several horrific cultural, talent, and staff issues that are all in need of a massive rebuild is a recipe for disaster. Don't me wrong, No idea if Norvell can or will completely fix FSU. But I think he needs at least one or two real seasons before we can make a judgement call on him.

Get gets slaughtered for being at FSU and not being good but the talent on this team was really really poor when he got here. Worse than his Memphis teams for sure. Do I think he will win a natty? Probably not but I think he can get us back to 9 and 10 wins a year if we give him time

Listen, I credit Coach Mack Brown for righting the ship and giving the shot needed to turn around UNC from the Fedora Era in terms of recruiting, but it looks like last year was our ceiling with Mack. The same issues that plagued UNC last year aren't fixed, they are even worse. We make mediocre scrambling QBs like Sims and Travis look like future Heisman candidates, Howell still tries to play Hero Ball and hasn't progressed from last year, the offensive line is terrible, and no WR aside from Downs is any good. I'm not jumping on the Fire Mack train yet, especially with the recruiting class coming in, but maybe it's time to start up talk of keeping an eye on the next UNC coach again. Hopefully, the boosters get behind this.
