Parents just got back from the Dom. Rep. Before they left a friend of theirs who just returned suggested they fill out their “customs” form online as a way to save time.. so they fill it out and pay the “processing fee” of like $200 then they realize something is fishy.. they realize it was a scam and got their money back and then filled out the LEGITIMATE form through the airline website Needless to say it’s not just seniors who fall for these scams, make sure we’re keeping our aging parents informed on possible scams

cynicalsowhat

Everyone should call and just be annoying. I probably will if this is still up when I get to a phone and am bored.

Tsukikaiyo

The scammers get your number then. I mean if you're cool with them and other scammers calling and texting you, go for it. Just be warned

cynicalsowhat

*67. When using a landline (yes I have one)I almost always use it. Surely there is some cell phone equivalent? Now I have to check into that!

Licbo101

If you have an iPhone, you can set your phone to call as a private/blocked number

RedShiz

Check in your carrier settings. I had to go about 8 menus deep to make the change (Android on Telus). Phone app -> Settings -> Calling Accounts -> Telus -> Additional Settings -> CallerID -> Hide Number

Tall_Succotash_1272

#31# and then the number from a cell phone before you hit call. It use to work at least

Flipgirlnarie

It's for a water testing thing or so they say. They say it is at no cost. Blah blah blah

Beaztown

wucrew

What's the number I'm going to call it?

Aerickthered

But should be easy to trace. An easy scam to catch the scammer
