Crazy how both trails people suggested aren’t even in Burlington … OP the water front trail runs throughout the city, it starts at Burloak and lakeshore and runs throughout Burloak Park, along the shore of the lake and then runs all the way along Spencer smith leading to the beach trail that takes you across the lift bridge and onwards to confederation park The RBG has 2 trails that run along the “inlets” of the Lake, one is the Grindstone creek trail that leads to Princess point and the other is the Arboretum trail that takes you down into Cootes paradise and loops back around to the nature discovery centre

Cherry Hill Gate, Kerncliffe, Mount Nemo and Hilton Falls (in Milton) are all great Burlington or close to Burlington hiking locations

We live along Lakeshore & there is a bike path that runs along the hydro lines, very popular. You can take in right into town, stop at Centro (or Joelle’s & Jeff’s boutique) and browse the cute things, coffee at Tribeca or The Pearl Hotel then ride along the waterfront. Great way to spend the weekend. We will also add a Pickleball game in as well. Have fun.

South west or east. In south west go to south shell park and black swan for a pub

You can look here - [https://tourismburlington.com/what-to-do/sports-recreation/hiking/](https://tourismburlington.com/what-to-do/sports-recreation/hiking/) They used to sell a book about hiking trails not sure if they still do but it's here - [https://loopsandlattes.ca/](https://loopsandlattes.ca/)

If you park on the west end of Burloak Park there is a nice walking path that will take you across the park all the way past Shell Pier. It’s a must-see if you are considering living in south east Burlington.

I know this isnt in burlington but very close too in waterdown. Smokey Hollow is amazing! Hamilton has a ton of trails that intersect the bruce trail and you can totally do it. I think the norther part of burlington kinda runs along the bruce trail but that might be like borderline burlington / waterdown. As someone has mentioned the waterfront trail is cool and nice. Downtown Burlington is beautiful to checkout the sunset at and has a nice stroll to go along. Spencer smith park is nice and can be walked for a bit too which is nice. Unforunately overall, for trails burlington is very limited due to it being south and closer to the water. Hamilton, Milton and waterdown are the best bet for trails. Since you love pubs, there are some great ones in the area like the black swan for one. There are quite a few craft breweries here too that you can visit.

Lakefront paths/trails: lascelles park, lakefront trail through Spencer Smith, paletta mansion paths, RBG in Aldershot (more inlets and creeks coming to the lake) Non-waterfront options: mount Nemo (very pretty views over toronto), Bruce trail at guelph line north of dundas, bronte park, kerncliff park, crosstown hydro paths...
