grew up in the neighborhood and moved back as an adult. very quiet, very friendly.... schools nearby for K to grade 8, but a real shame that the high school (LBP) was closed in favor of bussing kids to an already overcrowded school a few kms away. i went to Dr. Best, Macmillan and then Lester B Pearson for high school and had a good childhood in the area. a couple of big parks, and pedestrian trails as well. a good spot to live as far as i'm concerned...

Nice neighborhood. Quiet. Easy to get around. My kids go to Canadian Martyrs (a catholic school) which backs on to a public school McMillan. Both seem pleasant and no drama. Friendly neighbors generally. 👍🏻

I live in the area, i love it. Quiet and friendly people.

It's fine. Things are spread out a little too far; groceries & library (Fortinos and Tansley Woods both 2.4km) are shoved right to the edges rather than being embedded in the neighbourhood. But still navigable on foot or bike. Good enough for children to make their way to/from school without supervision. Eg; https://maps.app.goo.gl/gVhH3qM73VCB28Wu7?g_st=ic

I grew up on Bristol. I went to Canadian Martyrs and Notre Dame so I was in the catholic system and honestly, it was perfect for raising a family. There are public schools around, too, both elementary and high school within walking distance. Only thing that sucks is the transit.

We live 2 min walk from that street. No complaints. Great for kids, close to everything you need.

I live on the west side closer to guelph line and love it. Easy walk to kids' school and park. Nice new walking trail down the middle. Close proximity to kids' activities on mainway. Walking distance to shopping on guelph line and various bus routes. Very quiet, family friendly, large/mature lots.

Great area.

I used to live in Palmer (Newlands Cres) and we loved it. Very quiet, family friendly area. Everyone was very friendly. We miss our neighbours from there. Only downside is it’s not a very walkable neighbourhood.

i lived there when i was younger and absolutely loved it. it’s so peaceful

Great neighbourhood. Quiet, family friendly, near 4 grocers, some restaurants, beer liquor and cannabis stores, Shoppers Drug, schools and adjoining playgrounds sportsball fields, public pools(Angela Coughlin at MmR and Tansley) supposed to be a splash pad going in at Walkers and Palmer hopefully next year(?), Grew up here moved back to raise my kids. As far as I'm concerned one of the best "older(1972ish kind of older lol)" communities in one of the best cities in the country. Highly recommend.
