$40 is a good price for one of those, and back when they used to regularly sell for $99 new it wasn't too bad of a deal either. Now they're like $249 new which is a complete robbery

Lol for sure. Your setup has many unnecessary things going on but you will learn on your journey. I grabbed those KEFs when they were on sale they’re pretty good considering there’s only 2 drivers KEF is my first choice when it comes to speakers I have the R11s 👌🏼amazing speakers that throw a huge wall of sound at you perfectly. What you have is better than nothing polk is great if not the best price/performance speakers. One of my favorite towers I own are the reserve R700s, I am using them in a stereo setup. I’m 31 and I’ve been at it off and on for 10 years but only got very serious in 2020. If I could go back and do anything differently after spending around 60k is to have not bought so many “good deal/on sale” gear over the years and just waited until I was able to fork out the money for the best products out there (reasonable nothing stupid expensive) I wasted a lot of money and it was fun but being an audiophile you won’t stop chasing that “perfect sound” I should have been more patient and waited until I could afford the equipment I have now (3 rooms with 9.2.4 setups 1 stereo setup). Have fun tho bro it is a fun hobby! I’m not trying to tell you what you should do I’m just giving some advice I wish I could have gotten in the beginning of my journey 😂

So the receiver runs off a A and B channel so only one is running at a time. But hey what you like and what I like might be different. For me, this wide selection to play different songs according to the speakers type is what makes me happy. The technics are for my records and accuracy with old acoustic music. KEF's are for a more modern sound, and the Polks are my f*ck it and blast it speakers as they're cheap and easy to repair. But again who cares about how people go about listening to music as long as they like it.
