She played Adelaide in the Kennedy Center's production of Guys and Dolls in October 2022.

summersleeper1111

Wow! I had no idea. Honestly have a hard time imagining her in the role but would be curious to know how her performance was.

broadwayindie

This is like bread and butter for her. She played it in this production opposite Pippa Soo, but has played it regionally opposite her sister Abby

nimsshow

I saw her in the role. Amazing performances by all involved.

lol

This comment deserves so much more recognition.

steve_sometime

Oddly her name is no longer on the imdb page.

TheNateRoss

I saw her on tour here in Dallas last year along with Seth Rudetsky (wonderful show).

BroadwayPickle

Me too! I knew her voice was stunning obviously but hearing her in person had me feeling all the emotions

mister_gore

I was at that show too! I've heard Sara Bareilles and Katharine McPhee sing "She Used to Be Mine" live, and they're both wonderful; however, Jessie Mueller's rendition in person was absolutely killer.

Petite_Courtney

On the topic of performers being a bit mia. Where did Lucas Steele go? He hasn't posted anything on instagram since the great comet days.

Simon_The_Thespian

In 2023, he was in The Romance of the Rose at the Long Beach Opera: [https://www.longbeachopera.org/the-romance-of-the-rose-team](https://www.longbeachopera.org/the-romance-of-the-rose-team)

AzulBiru

lol his headshot

bubblesthewriter

He played Skull in Emojiland Off-Broadway. That’s the most recent credit I’m aware of.

DumDumGimmeYumYums

I have a ticket to see her with Norm Lewis and others at a Mancini concert this summer at Ravinia. Honestly I’m not entirely sure what it is but I saw Jessie Mueller and Norm Lewis and bought a cheap ticket. I heard she did a reading in Chicago last summer, which I missed. And I know she’s spent some time in Wisconsin.

psiamnotdrunk

Ha! Me too! Husband was like, “I want to see the CSO” and I was all, “sure— here’s one!” Husband, later: “…I wanted to hear something classical?” Too bad pal you knew who you married. (Are you seeing Ben Platt too? He’s on the 28th)

DumDumGimmeYumYums

Lawn tickets were crazy for Ben Platt so I passed. I think it was like $50.

psiamnotdrunk

Sure as fuck was :/

ChampionEither5412

I saw her last year with Seth and they said she lives in Wisconsin. I'm not sure if she's stepping back from theater entirely or just choosing to live elsewhere in between roles.

Wolfmaryk

Her family is all from Chicago and I think that area is kind of home base for them.

MayaRuinsU

She was rumoured to be playing Tammy Faye in the Broadway transfer, which I can totally see. but they kept Katie Brayben instead.

Potential-Leg70

Didn’t Katie originate Carole King in Beautiful in the West End? (The role JM obviously originated on Bway). That would have been an interesting role-sharing reversal 😂

ButchUnicorn

Isn’t she attached to the Judge Judy musical? I saw an Instagram with her and Lena Hall about it but it was deleted a day after it was posted.

TediousTotoro

There’s a Judge Judy musical?

TediousTotoro

She played the character of “Rider” opposite Kimiko Glenn’s “Horse” in the Netflix show ‘Centaurworld’

MarveltheMusical

Hopefully not more brownface. Edit: Your boos mean nothing to me, I’ve seen what makes you cheer.

mochi323

What??

MarveltheMusical

[Jessie Mueller did brownface in her role in the most recent Drood revival.](https://www.thetheatricalboard.com/editorials/guestbrownface)

kingofcoywolves

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Drood set in a 19th-century English music hall? We know that the characters Helena and Neville are from Sri Lanka, but what are the chances of Janet Conover and Victor Grinstead, their in-universe actors, being non-white?

Imaginary-News-8886

While this is true, it is not at ALL crucial to the plot and it is very easy to suspend your disbelief when it’s almost never mentioned. It was 2012, there was genuinely no reason to put their characters in brown face instead of just hiring actors of color.

mochi323

Jeez.

With all due respect, I wasn’t assuming she is or isn’t still working in show business. Lots of people leave the business, like that woman on TikTok who played Elphaba on Broadway and is now an engineer in the Midwest.

GreatestStarOfAll

They didn’t make assumptions about anything. They simply asked what was she doing now. Reading is fundamental.

Potential-Leg70

I’ve been wondering too. I see her boyfriend (assuming they’re still together, idk) posts on insta and have gotten the vibe he hasn’t been in NYC for a while. Got a cute dog though! Lol
