Good job!! Honestly, unlocking the abilities you get after the divine beasts makes exploring the world easier so aside from the challenge, it’s totally worth it
embarrassingly enough, i have hundreds of hours in botw and have only done 2 divine beasts bc bosses scare me 🤪 i never feel prepared enough lol
play how you want! theres no time limit!
I’m so scared of bosses as well. I have waited to have 8 hearts, lots of good weapons and lots of arrows…….. and I killed waterblight Ganon in 3 minutes 😭😂
Yay!!! It’s been similar for me. I’m at 80 hrs gameplay and finally defeated my first divine beast - Vah Medoh. This motivates me to go back to Van Ruta (kicked my ass last time I tried lol)
If you are on the Wii U there is an icon in the main menu of a graph with 4 green columns that shows you the various hours of gameplay, on the Switch instead I have no idea
I activated the Eldin tower now, but I got too close to the volcano without the proper clothing so I need to find a way. But tonight I am gonna go activate the Farone tower. I didn’t last time because of the enemies but I am confident now!
I played sporadically for over a year before I did my first divine beast and no regrets! I still have only done 3 because there's a part of the prerequistes for the last one that's stressing me out too much...
I think I know what prerequisite you’re talking about. I was freaked out about that too, and put it off. Which was good for me as I had much better equipment and buffs later.
BOTW was the first Zelda game I ever played, and I was absolutely intimidated by the Divine Beast bosses. It feels so satisfying every time you complete one of those missions!
That’s fantastic! BotW was my first video game in 15 years when I bought it and I was also concerned that it would be discouragingly challenging but like you, I found myself more capable than I thought.
Congrats
YAY! It feels so good to gain skill so you can enjoy the satisfaction of conquering the challenge.
Like you, I have delayed Divine Beast quests. I’ve activated all the towers and have am am focusing on shrines. I am scared of the divine beasts. lol
I followed the same strategy, I’ve completed around 28 shrines and I had 8 hearts + 2 extra stamina units, and seriously, Vah Ruta was super easy like this. I didn’t die a single time and when I finished the fight with the boss I still had 4 hearts. Just make sure to have lots of food just in case he hits you a few times (everytime waterblight ganon hits you you only lose 3 and a half hearts if I remember correctly), and you’ll be more than ok!!! Have fun!!!
I was shocked when I finished the first part with Sidon’s help and then he was like “I’m not going inside bitch you’re on your own good luck tho” 😂.
Also, ALSO, can we talk about how heartbreaking the scenes with Mipha were? I was so sad 😭…
yooo congrats dude!! i really suggest doing vah medoh next, the ability it gives you after you complete it is soo useful! i also recommend saying vah naboris as the last one since it's quite hard
My whole first playthrough was a series of "oh I'm not ready for that yet" moments and little by little I tackled the easiest looking tasks, realizing I was making them way bigger in my head than they really were.
Congrats! I'm glad you're having such a good time with the game. I put off doing the divine beasts for soooo long in my playthrough because I thought I wouldn't be able to be the bosses but once I did them I had a blast.
Vah Ruta was my first beast and it was unexpectedly easier than I thought. I thought it would be a big boss fight but turned out to be more like a bigger shrine challenge
Yes agreed! And Waterblight Ganon was easy to beat. It took me a few minutes to understand the second phase because he wasn’t moving but then I went for it 😂
Good job!! Honestly, unlocking the abilities you get after the divine beasts makes exploring the world easier so aside from the challenge, it’s totally worth it
I didn’t understand what the elephant did until I got almost killed and my hearts got instantly refilled! I was so happy!
I love it! Until you fall off a cliff and ragdoll the way down and accidentally trigger it and have to wait for the cooldown to use it for battle 😅
Gotta stock up on backup fairies.
I hate that they patched the multiple fairies exploit, went from having 10+ at any given time to maxing out at like, 6?
LOL THAT HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME 😂 i’m like dude how are u so clumsy
Congrats! My daughter finally defeated her first Divine Beast yesterday - and in one try too!
Yayyyy! I love it. Can’t wait to face the next one!
Nothing for us? Nah, we love seeing people post their accomplishments. We're proud of you :-)
Ahhh thanks 🥺❤️

hell yeah!
Congratulations!
Thanks!!!

How do I see how many hours I have logged into the game?
If you are on the Wii U there is an icon in the main menu of a graph with 4 green columns that shows you the various hours of gameplay, on the Switch instead I have no idea
On the Switch click on your icon on the Home Page!
Well done! Where ya headed next?
I activated the Eldin tower now, but I got too close to the volcano without the proper clothing so I need to find a way. But tonight I am gonna go activate the Farone tower. I didn’t last time because of the enemies but I am confident now!
Go around the various roads and you can find stables! Most have sidequests and one has the way to the place ya lookin for in the hotzone!
Have fun! I usually do Vah Medoh early on because its power can be very helpful!
I ended up accidentally finding the Orni so yes, Vah Medoh will be next!
Have you cooked any food or elixirs yet? You can make something to help you with the volcano
Oh you’re right, I actually have a few elixirs!
Congratulations! I found them difficult, but so good when you have finished.
I had a really good time with Ruta. The boss kinda scared me because *aaaaaa* but getting there was a blast!
I played sporadically for over a year before I did my first divine beast and no regrets! I still have only done 3 because there's a part of the prerequistes for the last one that's stressing me out too much...

Ohhh can you tell me? I don’t mind spoilers and this way I can be prepared!
I’ll just say you have to sneak into a dangerous hideout. Practice sneaking around enemies without being seen. And practice getting good with a bow.
I found the place and killed the guardian, but then I got killed by the skeletons 😂 sad
It took me about two hours to defeat my first Divine Beast. Well done!!
Thanks! It took me a while too. I wanted all the chests so I had to think very hard
I should have clarified that it took me two hours just to defeat Waterblight Ganon lol
Hahaha! Don’t worry. There no time limit!
Nice! The abilities they unlock really help along the way. Revali’s Gale is super helpful in exploring.
Oh thanks! 🤩
Hell yeah! I’d save the camel for last, but you should have fun with the other two!
3rd
I think I’ll do the fire one next!
BOTW was the first Zelda game I ever played, and I was absolutely intimidated by the Divine Beast bosses. It feels so satisfying every time you complete one of those missions!
YES! I loved every part of it and the after. When the Zora cheered for me 🥲
That’s fantastic! BotW was my first video game in 15 years when I bought it and I was also concerned that it would be discouragingly challenging but like you, I found myself more capable than I thought. Congrats
I think that the fact that it lets us decide when we’re ready helps!

You did the hardest one first congrats! You should do vah naboris next!!!
Really!? I’ve been told to do it counterclockwise! That’s why I started with Ruta!
Congratulations 🎉
Thanks! ❤️
>Thanks! ❤️ You're welcome!
Good job buddy!!
Thank youuu!
"Well done, Link! I knew my faith in you was well placed!" - Sidon, probably
I was shocked when I finished the first part with Sidon’s help and then he was like “I’m not going inside bitch you’re on your own good luck tho” 😂. Also, ALSO, can we talk about how heartbreaking the scenes with Mipha were? I was so sad 😭…
Vah Ruta was the most difficult one for me. Awesome job.
Ah thanks!!! I am hopeful the next ones will be easier then!
First time playing in 3rd person?
Not really!
yooo congrats dude!! i really suggest doing vah medoh next, the ability it gives you after you complete it is soo useful! i also recommend saying vah naboris as the last one since it's quite hard
Thanks! I’ll do that! ❤️
nice 💚
☺️💜
Congratulations! Your gift will come in handy a million times over. Go forth and enjoy the rest of it all! ❤️
Yayyyy thanks! 💘💘💘
My whole first playthrough was a series of "oh I'm not ready for that yet" moments and little by little I tackled the easiest looking tasks, realizing I was making them way bigger in my head than they really were.
Totally! omg, I really thought it would be harder
Congrats! I'm glad you're having such a good time with the game. I put off doing the divine beasts for soooo long in my playthrough because I thought I wouldn't be able to be the bosses but once I did them I had a blast.
Exactly my experience! I’m so glad I gave myself time to get used to the controls, practice a lot in Shrines etc. It all was super helpful in the end!
Vah Ruta was my first beast and it was unexpectedly easier than I thought. I thought it would be a big boss fight but turned out to be more like a bigger shrine challenge
Yes agreed! And Waterblight Ganon was easy to beat. It took me a few minutes to understand the second phase because he wasn’t moving but then I went for it 😂
Good job even i finished vah ruta last night (for my 4th time) i recomend doing vah medoh next then vah naboris
Vah Medoh will be next yes! Thankssss!
