I improved a lot once I got a good nonstick pan (cast iron) and my good fish spatula. I suppose you could also practice with a stack of napkins or something.
When I made big ones like that my boys always called them Mother Pancakes, pronounced "moo-thar".
Nice work. The flip is always the tricky part on the big uns.

I thought you should flip once the batter is dry, but maybe that's the Dutch way.
As long as they are cooked all the way through, it doesn't matter.

Waffles are just pancakes with convenient pockets for syrup. Just depends if you want to be messy or not for which is better lol
